I called Family Movers in early December for a January move. I spoke with Danielle, the dispatcher and made the arrangements. A couple of days before, I contacted her, to finalize the arrangements. Excited, the day finally arrived. My move was scheduled with a 9-11am arrival. They never showed up. Danielle, who emailed me and called me was initially unavailable. Once I finally reached her, she was full of excuses. A mover fell and hurt his hand, the computer system went down. While these may be truth, she never called me. She didn't apologize, nothing. Definitely I would recommend this company probably has the cheapest rates around and the workers are fast organized professional and didn't take any breaks in my almost 4 hour move they were responsible and paid special attention to all the boxes and items that were fragile and took very good care of everything ! They were helpful and have a great customer service skills! very impressed , definitely use them again !

I've finally calmed down enough to write this review. I was given a quote on July 21, 2021 for my move on August 8/3/21. I was promised a first of the day appointment (between 9-10). We wake up early to get the rest of our stuff in order for the movers. 10:30am comes and no one is there yet. I call the office and no one answers. I call about 5 times and finally get in touch with someone. The lady says she's the only one in the office and things are crazy and no one will be to me until 12-2. I'm irritated since my partner took the morning off of work to make sure he was there for

They were 6 hours late and didn't keep me updated about the expected arrival; I had to continually call them for info. They did not wrap any of my furniture as promised. They complained the entire time about how much stuff I had even though it was exactly what I had put in the quote. Very unprofessional.

We had the worst experience with them and left a review last year when we moved. The only had two movers working, one stood there and complained that he was supposed to be off, and they were 4 hours late. They ruined some of our stuff. They charged us over double and harassed me to signed the bill which we found out later locked us in legally to their outrageous price for services we did not receive that were promised. The reason for the 2nd review is to post how you can go about taking legal action. You do have to file a claim with them first and try to resolve it, which took us over 6 months

I don't like to give bad reviews, but this company moved my daughter and her wife, they were drinking beer on the job, rude and disrespectful, didn't use care in handling any of the articles they were in charge of moving and being paid to move, they had a horrible attitude and threatened to drive away with her belongings if my daughter and her wife didn't pay up front (not at ALL what was agreed on). They were 3 hours late, as I said demanded the money upfront, and to top it all off, their fee tripled from their quote of what they "had to have" in order to leave my daughter

Not worthy of even ONE star. Was scheduled to have movers come to my home at 10 a.m. this morning. Had one of the guys call me around 9 to confirm. About a half hour later a lady called me to tell me my time had to be pushed back. She said maybe between 1 and 3, but will be in touch to lmk if something comes available sooner. The movers were 2 hours late, not careful whatsoever with my items throwing/damaging boxes, would only accept cash for payment when Zelle wouldn't work with my credit union, and while unpacking I have noticed missing items! I've tried to call multiples times each day since to try and track down my belongings and emailed all with no response. Would never use their services again.

If I could give negative stars I would. I thought everything was going to be fine, I received a phone call the day before my move confirming everything. Morning of, no one showed up. We had to be out of our unit by noon and the movers were supposed to show up between 9 and 10. Super disappointed. I found them via an Instagram ad and Mark seemed very professional and very detail-oriented. But he obviously has a clue about their less-than-stellar service because he never answers texts now and did say something that sticks out now about never taking phone calls.
This was a first because I've always had great moves with Two Men & A Truck but they were booked (they're great! Four moves with them.) so I used Family Moving & Storage.

We hired this moving company because of their "family name" and great price. The move was scheduled to take place from 1-30-2:30pm. Our building charges $100 for every hour past this time. All I can say is...all recent reviews are absolutely true! Arrived late, tried to force us to pay for additional people, cost increased without any notice, threats to take off with our belongings, and a boss that needs to learn what great customer service is.
We had to call the police to mitigate an agreement on cost and time - because the foreman would not stop arguing or talking over me. We were supposed to have 3 hours with 4 people BUT the foreman left 1.5 hours early. And took another man with him without telling us or the remaining two guys who finished the job.

I am updating this to one star based on what has happened since posting. I did receive a call from the owner letting me know he would make the situation right. I was told I would hear back from him no later than the coming Tuesday (would have been 6/8). I did call and leave him a message last week as I again wanted to provide the benefit of the doubt. My husband will probably call but at this point I'm assuming we will not have a resolution and like other reviews state - you are better going anywhere else.

i made the mistake of not reading through all of the yelp reviews, so hoping to save anyone the trouble that this "company" causes. They moved my moving time back multiple times even after I had confirmed. I sat around all day expecting a call, and I wasn't even given a number to contact (it was Saturday so I couldn't call the office). 2 hours pass by after the last hour of my timeframe, and no word at all from them. I have to scramble to make backup plans since these people are incapable of proper customer service. glad I dint have to

I can't believe I didn't do my research and didn't see these reviews. As everyone else stated DO NOT use this company. Let's just say I was to be moved and no one ever showed up or called. So I was left with finding another moving company. They don't answer the phone. The voice mail is full. The message on the voice mail gives you a number to call, but guess what. They don't answer that phone either. I guess the silver lining is I didn't pay a deposit, so no money lost. With the way their customer service is, I wouldn't trust them to move my toilet paper

This company made my move the hardest and most stressful experience possible. I was originally scheduled for a 9-10am pickup, then they bumped me to 12-2 and didn't show up until 4:15. The head of the crew then proceeded to complain about how much stuff I had and took twice as long as it should have to complete my move (including the head of crew taking a sandwich break in the truck while his guys continued to move my stuff). It took over 4 hours to move me out of a studio apartment
(3rd floor walk up, but still) into a one bedroom with an elevator.

Very unprofessional and terrible communication. I hired them on June 30 for moving date of July 18. The quote and hiring process was very smooth with Mark. Before contacting them, I did saw one of the reviews stated they never shows up so I did mentioned to Mark about that review and he said he will look into it and pretended that it has never happened.
Only July 17 someone from them called me to confirm the moving of July 18 with movers arriving between 12-2. She also stated that the movers will call me 30 minutes before arriving.
On the day of moving around 1230 I didn't hear from them
