We used this company to move 6 hours from Long Island.
I found the estimator to be very trustworthy- Kenny came to my house, he was kind and thorough. I believe the quote he gave me was reasonable. He stated that your drivers would be weighing the truck in Farmingdale. This was a lie. Your movers told us they measure the cubic feet to get to a weight measurement. The estimate was incredibly off, though it was comparable to other companies that I spoke to.
The sale rep, Elaine, also sold the company very well- it seems like she is on your side. However, when it came to the move:

If I can give this company a negative rating I would.... they do not call their patrons to let them know they go over cubic footage (that's how they get you!!) and then spring on extra charges.... threaten leans on property. They also break furniture And refuse to pay or replace it.... they use enterprise trucks, not even a company van. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AT ALL COST!

This company charged me 500 extra insurance for full coverage replacement. They scratched and chipped my furniture. Broke my fragile dinning set. The workers kept going in and out of my bathroom in groups....then one of them threw up on my lawn. They could not put 2 bedroom sets back together because they lost the hardware. when I spoke to Gavy the owner he said he had to inspect it with his restoration guy. I forbid him from coming into my home. I asked for insurance papers and he refused to help. I have an attorney now and I would no recommend this company to anyone.

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!! the movers were fine, however, the company would not provide an insurance certificate for the move. Very unprofessional. The movers indicated they were filing a claim, however, when I called the office several times I was informed they would not issue the certificate for my building. Not a good way to start a relationship with management at a new building!!

Stay away from this company!! We had gotten several quotes from different companies. One company came to the house and gave us a detailed quote which we sent to them to give us a quote. They came in cheaper because they missed half the items. They didn't tell us we had to pay for packing day which cost $1500. Then moving day they filled up one 26' truck and had to get another. Then we have to pay $4000 which is half the estimate. Then we get to our new house and the truck was supposed to come the next day. Does not show up and nobody calls us. We left many messages to find out what&apos

A friend of mine received a price to move. She checked to make sure the price was correct the day before the move. After they arrived at the new location, the price was jacked up over 1,000 dollars. My friend recommended them to me before she moved. At this point I would never recommend them & make sure no one I know will use them. Spreading the word!

Absolute WORST moving company I have ever experienced. Booked my move in advance and called the day beforehand to reconfirm everything and was given a $107 increase in my quote because I am in a third floor walkup (but the original quote they initially provided was for a third floor walk-up, so I do not understand the upcharge), anyway, I figured I would move forward since It was the day before my move.
I was given a 12-2pm arrival window and the movers arrived at 6pm. On the day of my move I had everything lined up and ready to go at 12pm and rearranged my family's entire day to accommodate

I wish i can give this place zero stars! Absolutely the worst ever!!!! First of all they charge way over what the quote you on top of that they do not even take everything! They put holes in my walls, broke my tv, broke furniture! How they are doing still in business is mind boggling! Stay far AWAY!!!!!

If I could give negative stars, I would. Do yourself a huge favor and never use this company. Was quoted $2600 for the move. Once they threw (and I mean threw as in tossed like it was garbage) all of my belongings in the truck,the "foreman" told me I needed to call his supervisor and get the final price and pay them BEFORE they'd put my stuff in my new house. Supervisor tells me it'll be $5700! There was no way I was paying that much. They'd already damaged numerous items, including The walls and flooring of the condo that I was moving out of and renting. Quoted $129 for a minimum of 2 hours (move was for one bedroom set to a home less than 10 miles away). Original move date: 12/17. E-mail sent to confirm move on 12/16 which I responded to. Movers did not show on 12/17. Move rescheduled to 12/28. Movers arrived 30 minutes after quoted arrival time. Job was completed in 90 minutes; and I was charged $496. The representative on the phone was extremely unprofessional. Company should invest in customer service training.

When the movers left they wanted me to sign something saying everything was ok I refused to Sign it or give them permission to charge my credit card for the remainder of the fee. Tri-State Area Movers damaged my furniture when they did my move six months ago. The mover dropped the furniture and said they would pay for it. I've been calling for 6 months for them to come back and repair the damage. I made seven(7) separate appointments with them and every time - they were a no show. This company is terrible!
Unfortunately I recommended them to a friend who sold their house in Nassau County. After they moved 90% of the furniture Tri- state movers billed 3x their quote. They are refusing to deliver the home owners gym equipment and furniture unless their 3x quoted
