I've been living in NY for over 19 years now and moved apartments quiet a bit, never have I had such a hassle free move! I'm So happy I chose these guys as my movers!
They showed up on time, were friendly, organized, and took great care with handling my furniture. In one word - professionals!

One of the worst company there is, they give you one price, then once all your belonging is on the truck they force you to pay them double, then they say "yo gotta tip man, or else there we cant guarantee your stuff would be safe" they ask 30% of the total for tip. Best part is they make you pay them upfront before delivering my boxes, they know that most of the boxes was damage, so they want to get their money before they bail on you. I put my gaming consoles(switch, ps4, xbox one s) in a box labeled as electronics, guess what happen to the content in the box? you guessed it went missing

Don't trust Velocity Moving Co. They stole jewelry from our jewelry box. Velocity Moving was hired by International Van Lines that I paid to arrange the move across the country. July 31st I received email notice from IVL that movers would be there as scheduled Aug 2 between 9 and 1PM. Aug. 2 1:15 PM I called the designated coordinator to find out where movers were. After a series of phone calls I find out that Velocity Moving decided to pick up on Aug 3. They were given 2 dates and they picked Aug. 3. For this move I choose a highly rated company to pack contents and fully unpack and dispose of trash. Booked a NYC to Seattle move with international van lines that was subcontracted to Velocity. On moving day we were up charged $3000 despite having a thorough estimate from international van lines. Initially our moving consultant told us our belongings should arrive close to our first available date given that we were giving them over a month for transit. When our first available delivery date came we called and were told they had no timeframe for delivery. Ultimately our stuff arrived close to the end of our 21 day window. I cannot even give this move a star but I had to or I would not be allowed to post. I highly DO NOT recommend this moving company. Based on the reviews of International Van Lines, I chose this moving company not realizing or being informed that they would contract me out to Velocity. Not good!

At first, I was happy they showed up on time and were friendly but then it all went down hill. I could hear them packing up my room and throwing things in boxes. I just had the worst experience with the delivery of my stuff from NY to LA. If I could leave zero stars I would. Please read other reviews of terrible experiences because they're not lying. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMENED Velocity Movers or International Van Lines. Customer service is awful. Zero communication even though they constantly delay the delivery date. I still don't have my furniture or clothes. They are unprofessional and rude to the point where dispatch at Velocity decide to make fun of my heritage. Absolutely disgraceful. Not to mention this experience so far is costing $4500.

1. I booked International Van Lines NOT Velocity and was not told upfront that the move would be contracted out to Velocity - would this have changed my decision? Probably.

We moved long distances with Velocity moving through international van lines and our experience was terrible. One of the worst moves we have ever had.
The movers did not give us an exact date, which makes it incredibly difficult to plan when to leave a city if you are moving long distance.
When the movers picked up our stuff, the foreman rushed us through the contract and landing papers and did not give us a chance to read.
The foreman made INCREDIBLY clear that he wanted to receive a tip based on the price of the ENTIRE move, which came out to be $500, which costs even more then just moving

Wish I could give zero stars. My move from NJ to KC took three weeks, and when my stuff finally arrived not only was my favorite piece of furniture BROKEN beyond repair; but I also am missing two items and have a box that belongs to someone else. I am appalled that after spending around $3,000 for the move that there was not even enough care and diligence to show up with ALL of my items intact as they were upon being picked up. I will now be in the process of filing claims and if I don't see action on my missing items, I'll be filing a lawsuit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Buyer beware! Please read unless you are ok with throwing $4,000 down the drain. I hired Velocity to move me from New York City to San Antonio, TX. When my furniture arrived, NEARLY EVERY PIECE sustained damage, including a pair of expensive mirrored tables I specifically identified to them as being fragile and needing extra attention, and which I paid extra for them to pack, stupidly thinking they were experts of any kind. Very impressed with our moving experience! All of our communications were professional and straight forward. They far exceeded my expectations in terms of delivery time for a long distance move. Everyone was wearing a mask despite the heat, which I appreciated.
No broken items and they packaged everything so efficiently.
The bill was as quoted with no hidden surprises at the end.

George and his team were great! We had a bit of a complicated move, with two stops on the way. Overall I had a great experience with Velocity, and I appreciate how communicative they were and straightforward on pricing. Overall, I think they provided the best value of the quotes we received, and were willing to be flexible to accommodate our unusual move circumstances. Really appreciate that they didn't pull any fast one when it came to the final bill!

Worst moving experience of my life. Items arrived destroyed, boxes have holes and are completely squashed, damage comes to thousands of dollars: my sofa is wet and has discolored stains, desk has a hole punched in it, mirror is broken, even my bike is messed up with the breaks cut loose and the basket missing a screw. Absolutely appalling.

This is the second time I'm reviewing this company. If possible they did an EVEN BETTER job than last time. We LOVE these guys and wouldn't dream of hiring anyone else. They're quick, kind, and take care of our stuff. They worked non-stop and helped us set up everything where we wanted it in the new place.
