First time using a moving company and I will only be continuing to use this company from now on. Called them at 11AM and they were moving my stuff out by 2PM same day. They are truly incredible and kind people. They take extra precautions to move furniture and they work very fast. Will be recommending to all friends and family!

My boyfriend and I booked this moving company a week ago to secure our move today. They wanted us to sign a contract that would agree to pay double the price that they quoted us. After we said we would not do this , they started being unresponsive but still didn't cancel our move or told us they weren't coming. It is now the day of our move and we have still not heard from them and no one showed up. We have tried calling them multiple times left multiple messages and emails and still no one has answered us. If you actually want to move, I wouldn't book this mover.

2 movers, we paid $119/hr in cash for a minimum of 3 hours. Our apartment is on the third floor so it was an impossible job.
I called up SD quality moving and a few other companies, and this was the most affordable. We had a 2 pm slot but I asked if the guys could come earlier, and they showed up at noon at my short notice.
The movers were super professional and unloaded our truck in under 2 hours.
Make sure you offer plenty of cold water and snacks, as this job is a tough one! I highly recommend this company- from the boss to the movers, everyone's professional, kind and honest.

I had a horrible experience with SD Quality Moving. It took them 7 hours to move my 1 bedroom apartment from a storage unit into a new place. The move should have taken 4 hours tops. It was one of the movers first days so I can understand why he was slower but the other guy seemed pretty out of it. They didn't even have a second doorstop to use so I had to hold the door open for them in my apartment. They only had two items left to load into the van so I went ahead to the apartment to get the keys and everything. It took them 1.25 hours to get there and the storage unit was only 10 minutes

They don't deserve even one star!
They are disrespectful, I felt unsafe and they charge me like 7 hours for one bed one bath (no dinning room or coaches, they arrived 4 hours later. They talk with bad words and one of them was touching his private parts all the time, so disgusting. The worse and expensive move I ever have.

This moving company did an AMAZING job with our move - it was completely turn key. They packed a 5 br, fully furnished 7000 sq ft house incl all clothes, closets, kitchen, toys garage etc. and moved it. Massive job. And they did it under extreme time pressure - 2d to pack and load. Came early, stayed late, got it done. Then they unloaded all the stuff and placed as directed. Didn't break or damage a thing!! Great price too. Ask for Alex!!

This review is LONG overdue. I moved from San Diego to Ventura under stressful circumstances. I have to say that SD Quality Moving was the only part of the major life change that was smooth and EASY. I found them through Unpakt and was nervous booking something major like this entirely through internet third-party, but SDQM called me to confirm ahead of time, and answered all of my questions in a professional, thorough, and friendly manner. The service was all top-notch at a reasonable price, and worth every penny.

Neighbors moved out yesterday:
1) Movers showed up with no mask, which in a raging pandemic across the country with increasing #infections I find quite questionable, but whatever.
2) One of the two movers was constantly hocking up phlegm and - guess what - spitting it all over the place. Again, in times of an airborne virus taking over the planet, not really a considerate or responsible thing to do. But even if there wasn't a pandemic: this is disgusting and this person might want to consider a more professional way on how to represent his employer.

Not giving 0 star. 2 star is only for good customer service. Regarding the moving experience, it was very bad . Crew was supposed to arrive @10 am , but they arrived @11:20 am which was very late for me as I had to change my plans on the later part of the day. They couldn’t finish the job in 3 hours and I had to move the remaining stuff in my car. Crew started @11:42 am and I told them to stop moving my stuff @2:30 PM ( coz I had an appointment with maintenance team for my move out inspection @2:30) But They charged me for 3 hour 15 mins when confronted one of the crew member told me that they

SD Quality Moving made my move so easy and stress free. I called the office and Marina gave me the full run down of cost - no surprises here which was great! I booked on their website and got confirmation right away. Evan and Andrew came right on time, I gave them the full run down on what needed to be moved and where and they got right to it. They were careful and quick! They even help deconstruct and rebuild a bed frame that was too big to get out of my old bedroom and into the new one. They cost over DOUBLE what they said, took double the time. They dented the whole top of my expensive washing machine and tried to pretend they didn't. They hooked up my washer and dryer wrong.
Then- the worst- they threw around the boxes so much that a kitchen box was left UPSIDE DOWN on a bedroom box, they had broke SYRUP in the box, it leaked through whole box then down into other boxes! 5 pair of leather and suede boots RUINED! Very expensive boots! I only moved a few miles! Now I have to take hours to file an insurance claim which probably won't result in much! We'll see. Do
