The customer service and response time we received from this company was stellar. This was not a typical move for Coffey Bros since we are a church and only moving out our old pews. They priced us fairly and make sure we were comfortable, and understood the entire process. JR, Jimmy, DeMarcio and Linton were outstanding; their efforts saved us time and money. They made adjustments for us on site as needed. I appreciated they enthusiasm and honesty immensely and I would give them 10 stars if I could. Our church is so grateful for a company like this!

First experience with movers and very happy with the service! Moved from South Loop to West Loop. Linton, Orlando and Cameron were my team and they were efficient and as quick as can be. They were good at communicating via phone before and during. I was stressed but they were a calming group. Would use again!

This mover is the worst moving company I have used.
3 Movers showed up but only 2 were pretending to work, they were very slow. They were taking their own sweet time to mover things. The movers refused to take lot of stuff and said the truck was full. I had asked for the biggest truck and had given exact estimate of items that needs to be moved.
The guys were taking frequent smoke breaks and in this time of covid were not wearing masks.
The guys did such a sloppy job lot of shelfs and cabinets were broken which they never take responsibility for.

They were very careful with our belongings. I especially appreciated the care they took with our terrarium. Our pet can not survive for very long with out his habitat so that was the most nerve-wracking part of our move. The expertly cared for it making sure it would make it to the other side. We highly recommend our movers Linton and Leo!

Absolutely amazing service. Both guys, JR and Ed helped me move a ton of stuff very quickly. They both got a very large couch through narrow doorways with ease and I am amazed at how good they are at fitting stuff through. There’s no way I could’ve done my move without them and definitely recommend this service to anyone moving in Chicago. You wont be disappointed.

THEY INTENTIONALLY AND KNOWINGLY LOCKED ME UP IN THEIR TRUCK AND TRIED TO TAKE OFF WHEN I WAS AMICABLY DISPUTING A CHARGE. I was given an estimate of $730 and paid $150 in advance. I updated my item list a few times - adding a TV and some boxes. I understand this was an estimate. I wrapped up most of my items in bubble wrap in advance myself and bought my own packing materials. I specifically instructed the crew I wanted no extra charges. They relied everything was included. I had an electric keyboard I wrapped and was going to put in my car. This was a complete disaster start to finish. Two hours late arriving, and while I appreciated the heads up and reasoning given (truck broke down), that is where the professionalism ended. Not only did it take over 12 hours for a 2600 sq foot house despite 5+ guys working, there was significant damage to our walls and stairs. The movers were laughing and messing around, carelessly tossing things around, swearing, etc. Zero professionalism and frankly, some of the most inefficient movers I've ever hired. I would absolutely look elsewhere.

Terrible company with unprofessional movers. Ruined every piece of furniture I have at a total of 10,000 and their recommended value is $120. That wouldn’t cover the cost to have my son fix the damages they… did. The insurance policy isn’t clear. It isn’t easy to read on mobile.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Recently moved less than 5 miles and was shocked to see that LITERALLY every piece of furniture was either scratched, dented or beyond repair. The moving crew were over three hours late and pushed back all of the service elevator timings at both locations. We used the packing option also. Very expensive clothing were thrown in boxes; they were too cheap to use the proper boxes to hang clothing. They broke a brand new bed frame then decided to just leave it behind. By far the worst moving experience I've ever had. The time estimate they quoted us was intentionally lower than the actual cost, and when we asked for additional resources, they misquoted the price and then still expected us to pay. They do not hire professional movers - basically anyone off the street - and it showed... we've never had so many broken and damaged pieces in a move, and even things like furniture damage from their box cutters.
I spoke to their owner twice, and both times he was very rude, and when I questioned how my concerns would be resolved and said my only leverage

I'll talk slower next time - clearly I said while a lawsuit is warranted, the best move is to go after your license with the Consumer Fraud Bureau, out of the lllinois Attorney General's office. So yes, look forward to that.
And yea, I'm sure everything you do is technically legal; you guys would have been in jail a long time ago if it wasn't. But there's a difference between legality, and ethics. Below is the "pre approved" email you will get after Coffee bros moving screws you. People this is business practice. Charge you double and hide behind Illinois law that was meant to help.

Three movers took 5 hours to complete a one bedroom apartment move. Logan Square to Northbrook (30 min drive). Movers arrived late and left early but was booked for entire hour. Was quoted for 3 hours and there were no additional items in the move.
Employees are over booked. The movers I had worked from 6AM-8PM. No wonder they took longer than normal. I had them from 1-3 and they started at 3:10.
Mark was not forthcoming with his quote. Hidden fees for moving televisions

We were quoted $1000 for the move; ended up paying $1450. Huge discrepancy there.
Our $2500 bed was so poorly put together (we noticed when going to sleep) that we had to stay up for another hour trying to fix it.
I reached out to the company, as I needed for someone to come back out to fix it...but no response.
I reached out to my insurance company but they can't cover third party mistakes. I ended up getting a contractor to rescrew the plates just so no further damage occurs. $150.When I move again

My wife and I recently moved out of the city and used Coffey Bros. to move. Our scheduled time for movers was 1pm-3pm. I called shortly after 1pm to see if I could get an update. I was told "we may have to cancel your move and pick a different day." I had to call them to get this information.
