I really wanted to write a positive review - my experience leading up to the move day was pretty positive. However, what happened on the day of the move and afterwards soured my experience and is what has led me to write this review.
PROS: the owner Eric came out to my apartment and did a walk-through and gave me an estimate that seemed fair but also lower than the other estimates I had gotten. He also threw in 5 hours of packing and supplies to sweeten the deal. I didn't have my move date established yet, so I told him I would get back to him. About a month later with my move dates secured

Was way over charged for number of moving blankets. Glad when Eric said he would work with me to pick them up and give me check for difference. Blankets were picked up but never received money, just a check that bounced. Doesn't take this long to recover from credit card skimming problem. Was willing to overlook couple damaged items, bad estimation of number of blankets used, and move that took 2 days because not enough movers were sent first time. But to not to send check promised multiple times and let this go for so long is not right. Very questionable business practices. Will be reporting

I do not recommend Best Cost Movers for the following reasons:
1.    The owner, Eric, attempted to suddenly collect all payment for our move across country three days before the actual move. We declined this request, as it felt sketchy.
2.    The movers were hours late for both pick-up and delivery.
3.    Upon delivery, only one mover showed up to unload the entire truck filled with our furniture and more than 50 boxes for our 3-bedroom home. We had to unload everything ourselves. It was hard work and put us behind in our unpacking. We had signed a contract and paid a lot of money

Scam company. Will charge your things you did not purchase and when you catch them, they will send you a refund check that bounces. They broke multiply items and sent a team of movers that almost brawled with each other mid move. Eric the owner is super shady and is not to be trusted. You've been warned.

To be plain and simple, this company is run by thieves. My parents hired them for downsizing, so everything was going from their house to a storage. The movers arrived HOURS late, and on top of that were short 2 movers that we were told would be there. They knew my parents home was almost 3,000 sq ft and tried to do the moving with only 3 people. On top of starting late, it took all day because they didn't bring enough people, so much so that they had to move a few items the following day!!! BUYER BEWARE! Do not under any circumstances hire this mover. If you ignore this advice and hire them, do not pay with cash or credit card. They will use your credit card for other charges after you have paid in full and long after your move is complete. They will send checks to cover the erroneous charges, but the checks bounce.

Best Cost Movers helped me out on a last minute move and did an excellent job! I needed large furniture moved from two locations (a first floor walk-up and a second floor elevator building) to my new apartment (a third floor walk-up!). No problem for Best Cost! My move was confirmed a day before, and I got a courtesy call an hour before my movers Juan and Jose, arrived at the door.

Beware of this company! The purpose of this review is to help avoid another costumer having the disastrous experience I had with Best Cost Movers.
We hired Best Cost Movers to help us move. The whole point of hiring them was for a moving company to take care of delicate possessions. The entire service lasted approximately 6-7 hours to move a 1bed/1bath apartment to a different location 1 mile away. Two people were in charge of packing, handling, loading and unloading the items. I noted some irregularities throughout the process as outlined below:

I've worked with Best Cost Movers twice now- when we first got to Chicago we were in a temporary space, our stuff arrived in short notice from a pod company but they accommodated us with 1 days notice. I have had such horrible experiences in the past with movers that I was truly shocked at how fast, professional and efficient the people from Best Cost were. The smoothest move of my life. I was so happy with my experience that when it was time to move to our permanent place, I called them. Once again due to the circumstances it was within one day notice and they accommodated us yet again.

The move was great. Santos and Danny were professional, courteous and you could tell they truly care about the quality of your move - not a SINGLE thing was broken. Eric, the owner, was fair in pricing and was quick to respond to my inquiries. They called the day before to confirm the move time, called the day of the move to inform us they were en route and called when they arrived. The communication was wonderful, especially as we were planning out the move day. My boyfriend and I were moving and the first moving company we booked canceled on us at the very last minute. I called Eric at Best Cost Movers and he took care of everything for me. It was a super stressful situation but it went so smooth and quick. I cannot say enough great things about this company and the guys they sent to move us. I must say, I couldn't be happier with my move, this company, and the movers that were sent to my house. I highly recommend using this company, they get 5 stars, A+, 10/10. The crew was on time, got immediately to work, and were extremely efficient. They took at least an hour less than I thought they would. Everything was wrapped and handled with care, and the only casualty was my oldest, cheapest lamp. Considering they moved a two bedroom apartment with multiples TVs and several boxes of fragile items, I'd say it was a total success. They were honest with their pricing, even calling me back to adjust my price down because they double checked and saw I had put down a deposit.
