Had such a great experience here! Marty is awesome, super friendly and very helpful. I paid cash and the process was smooth and simple. I was able to drive my car right off the lot with no issues. He had the history of all the cars and was super knowledgeable. I've been to some dealerships that felt pretty sketchy before so I felt really good and happy when my friend recommended this place. Marty was great to deal with. I had come down from LA to look at a Toyota Matrix. I called ahead and asked if I could bring a mechanic friend with me to check it out and plug in his diagnostic equipment. He said 'sure, no problem'. Also, I wanted to finance through my Credit Union in LA, and he was totally fine with that too.
Came down with my friend, checked out the car, he was not high pressure at all. The car was in great shape, and we agreed on a price. Since I was financing through my CU, I figured I'd have to come back another time to pick up the car, which I was totally fine

What a trust dealer. I was really need to buy a car in this week and made an appointment with him to deal the car on Saturday morning. But he canceled the appointment 30 minutes ago and notified it unilaterally. The reason is that another customer wold give more money to him. If you want to buy a car in here, you should consider other customer who can get paid more even you make contract by verbally.

Our Honda Odyssey we purchased from Bayside motors has not let us down at all! We traded in a versa for the van since we have a growing family and needed the space. One of our biggest factors in buying was making sure we got a reliable van that would get us from San Diego aaaaaallll the way to our new home in Virginia. We had no issues on the cross country drive and it still feels new! Thank you Marty for giving us a fair trade in price and going above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our purchase!!!

Visited Bayside Motors to check out a truck I had seen online, and came down from Los Angeles to do so. Bayside was very helpful and open in sending me lots of photos beforehand to make sure my trip was worthwhile. Unfortunately, when I got there in person, I didn't think the truck would work out, which happens. However, Marty let me know of another truck that he hadn't even listed yet in a similar price range. Marty was big on telling us the SUV we bought had just been smogged....good for 2 years. Less than a week after we drove it off the lot the check engine light came on. It was the catalytic converter. You can't repair those in CA. You have to buy new ones. It cost over $800.
Then, after 2 1/2 years of paying off the lease, it was never reported to the credit bureau. We were told we were doing good things for our credit. Turns out, it's as if we never took out a loan at all.
Buy used cars from certified dealers. Stay away from mom and pop shops like this.

My husband and I bought a 99 4Runner from Marty a couple weeks ago. He is a great guy, changes the definition of a 'used car salesman' in our book. We love our new SUV and we got a fair, competitive price on it. He also financed the small balance for tax/ reg for us. Like the other poor reviews show, this is probably not a place you want to buy a car from.
After owning a BMW z3 and doing a lot of research on it, I came to know all the common z3 problems and BMWs in general. When I sought out a new one, I found that Marty had one available.
He started off by saying "let me point out what's wrong with the car". Sounded good so far. He pointed out a broken door lock and an electronic mirror that wasnt adjusting on one side. No biggie.
I asked that Marty let me take the car to my mechanic for a pre-sale inspection. He had no problem with this

Do Not Buy a car from Marty!
He assured me that the car I purchased for my daughter had been thoroughly checked out. Not the case. All the fluids were either empty or low! When I looked at the car the tire was flat he pumped it up and said it was fine. Not the case the tire had 2 nails in it and had to be replaced as well as the other rear tire that was 6 years old. $211.00. Then the engine check light came on....
New Cam Sensor
New Water Pump and Timing Belt
New oil gasket... It was leaking
$682.00
Still might need a catalytic converter
And needs front brake rotors!

Best place to buy a car if your Credit is not perfect, Marty the Salesperson helped me find a Honda Accord and the Price was Right on. He let me test drive it and then made me a sweet deal on the car. I will buy all my cars from Bayside Motors, Easy to get financed and he even Filled the Gas tank for me.

He wanted to trade in his old car and buy a used car. He went in, was offered a fair price for his trade-in, and got a fair price for the used car he purchased. Everything seemed to have worked out well, and was very easy.
Then the problems started. The next morning, there was a noticeable oil leak under the used car he had just purchased. It was obviously leaking oil. He took it back to the dealership, asking that it be repaired, since he had just bought it the day before.
