After 10 years at 963 Columbus Avenue we will be closing our storefront. Instead of a retail location we will be offering free delivery of our moving boxes and packing supplies with a minimum order. We appreciate your continued support! Living in New York City means limited space. Aside from our moving services West Side Movers also offers a variety of boxes and starter kits for whatever your moving needs may be.
We all have belongings that we hold close, some more than others. We see the importance of these personal belongings and treat them with the same care our clients would. We will professionally prepare and wrap each piece of furniture prior to moving in to storage, and we will make a complete inventory of furniture and number of boxes with every storage reservation.

Had an excellent experience with West Side Movers last week. They were timely, professional, and able to move my many, many boxes and furniture within the limited time period provided by my new building. The final bill came very close to the estimate which has not been my experience with movers in the past. Matt, the owner, was extremely responsive to my issues, and the foreman and movers were both friendly and extremely professional. I would definitely recommend them based upon my recent experience.

We used west side movers to move from Washington Heights to Queens and had such an amazing experience. The guys were super nice, professional and took really special care of our belongings. Hana, one the the movers payed very special attention to a tall plant I was worried about and retapped all of our boxes to make sure they were secure. Moving into our new apartment they made sure that even leaning our mirrors and art work on the wall there was cardboard to protect the wall! Really went above and beyond compared to other movers we have used in the past. Would %100 recommend West Side Movers!

This was the second move by West End Movers and both times the team was excellent! The first move included precious art work which they moved with great care. Today's smaller move included an important oil painting which they also wrapped and moved with care. The men were friendly, patient, and went out of their way to be helpful.

Our items arrived in less than ideal condition, with a smell and bugs. We had a civil discussion trying to figure out what happened. After conferring with the manager, the company graciously decided to reimburse us for our dry cleaning costs. Unlike other moving companies, Turns out West Side Movers truly cares about their customers' experience and satisfaction.

Genuinely terrible experience. I hired them for a 1 day move on 9/1 -- it took two days and wasn't finished until 9/9. (Holidays, work hours, booked already, etc) The front office and I were in touch throughout the planning to make sure everything was right. But somehow the move took 2x as long -- over 10 days -- and cost 2x more than the estimate. The crew was fabulous. They were late on the first day, which threw the estimate off even more. But the front office whiffed the estimate so badly the bill was off by 100% -- instead of a $3500 bill for a 400 sq ft apartment, I paid almost $7000

I would like to commend your crew on the professionalism they demonstrated during the move. They overcame every obstacle presented to them and believe me there were several. They always displayed positive and pleasant personalities even when one of us gave a misdirection. West Side Movers executed a move for our family between two Manhattan apartments. The move was flawless. The Prep Day team came in on the day prior to move and prepared many items to save time on moving day. On moving day, the large team was thorough, professional, friendly and struck the right balance between speed and care. The move had its challenges: narrow street, torrential downpour; long winding sidewalk down a lumpy ramp to the smallish freight elevator,. But the team powered through. We were 110% satisfied and grateful to WSM for a totally professional experience

We had a wonderful experience with West Side Movers. We had a lot of back and forth with our buildings on getting a moving date approved and WSM was very flexible and worked with us to make it happen at the last minute when we finally got a date approved.
The packing day was genuinely fun. Danny, Harry, and Nik were so fun to chat with and did such great, fast work - I couldn’t believe how much they got done.
And on moving day- Mark, Ian, and Tom joined the crew to make sure the move got done in time and they were fantastic again. No complaints from anyone despite 100 degree weather, no ACs

Hands down the best moving company out there. Amazing customer service from the start and throughout the end of the move. They also quoted me the best price out of all the others. Trust me. From a New Yorker who has moved multiple times, these guys are the best. Do not go with the large moving companies, especially Makespace! West Side Movers will handle your stuff with care.

The BEST! Phenomenal!
We had a multi-faceted move from a 6 bedroom home with items being moved to Long Island, New Jersey, Florida and WSM storage. Matt created a master plan to help facilitate the move- 3 truck loads, 8-9 movers and 2,15 hour days back to back. These guys were dedicated, hard working, professional and strategic with every furniture piece and box moved out. The foreman kept us informed with every step and from beginning to end, the move went smoothly including the trek to Florida. These guys are white glove service, not something you often see these days. I would highly recommend

Okay...3 years later (and in a pandemic!) it's time to move again! After having such a positive previous experience in 2017 I returned to West Side Movers for assistance .
Once again West Side Movers met my every expectation. They showed up at the appointed time in a marked vehicle. Hena and Stevo introduced themselves and were very courteous! I did not see them take off their masks for even one moment despite very hard work. They came with their own tape/blankets and wrapped up my delicate and glass items.

Saying this business is unreliable is a major understatement. The day of my delivery they had yet to even send me a curtesy email about the time in which to expect them (me taking my day off work to unpack.) I emailed and called multiple times the day before and the day of inquiring about the time, but alas, not a single response. I finally got a text around noon the day of saying they'd get there around 3pm. It is currently 6:30pm and I have no boxes. I haven't even been given the respect to be notified, or to get a true response as to when they'll arrive. Now, I guess they are

Sorry but your explanation for the bad service is not acceptable. Your explanation basically is blaming me, the client because you did not completely understand the instructions we were giving you from the beginning when you gave us an estimate. Yes we did have things moving to two different storage locations but we explained that upfront. There was no reason for the actual price to be twice the estimate. We had other options and should have gone with them. After explaining to you what happened you did nothing.

West End Movers should say that they offer “White Glove Service” because this company is superb. The movers who came were totally professional in every way. I was moving only 6 blocks, but I had many fine-art objects, special lamps, and several pieces of very heavy furniture. The movers expertly wrapped all items including many items that were complexly shaped. They took efficient and careful steps to ensure that every item was securely wrapped for move, whether a fragile, porcelain lamp or a fine, heavy armoire. I moved many times from apartment to apartment within Manhattan and finally found the perfect movers. Extremely reasonable rates, very efficient and careful job, and friendly/helpful staff. I had them move from a 5 floor walk up to a 6 floor walk up in 95 degree heat with no problems at all! The President, Matt, does an excellent job running one of the premier moving services in the greater New York City area. Highly recommend. I intend to only use West Side Movers from here on.

Today was my move day. Harlem to the Bronx. Scarily near the peak of the pandemic in New York City. But I had to move.
A friend recommended Matt and West Side Movers. I couldn't have been more pleased. I was completely at ease considering the circumstances.
They disinfect their truck; they wear gloves and masks, and they are really efficient. Their foreman, Reggie, kept reassuring me of any fears, and he and his team moved me in only five hours, right on their quote!
I helped by packing almost everything, and I recommend that to save money and time, so I didn't use any supplies.

What can I say. I haven't moved in 15 years and although I have a small apartment I have quite a few boxes and a lot more furniture to deal with. I was quoted four hours but it took five for the entire move and yes it cost me a little more. however the money was worth it. The guys were very attentive, staged things appropriately and they went above and beyond in the care of my stuff, especially in how things were wrapped. Each item was like an xmas present :). These guys were worth it. Next i move im calling them. Thank you for making my move stress free.

It was a pleasure working with West Side Movers today. There were two guys working to move some furniture from my apt. this morning. They were a little late and I got a call from their office well before 9:00 to let me know they would be 15 minutes late. They were only 10 minutes late. Once here they were professional, personable, and efficient. They were attentive to pictures on the walls, legs on the sofa, door knobs, etc., being sure not to damage anything. I would definitely recommend their services

Tom and Koi (truck 18) from west Side movers completed a job for me from our house in the Bronx to an apartment in Manhattan several weeks ago. We found their service to be prompt and thoughtful. They wrapped our old foam sofa as if it were an antique. In addition, one of the men noticed a problem with a hinge on a piece of furniture we had been unable to fix, which he repaired in less than a minute.

I had a terrible experience with an employee here today. I asked about getting some picture boxes, specifically about the two piece and get responded "we call it the four piece". I said I wanted the two piece and he responded "Why dont you fu**ing listen to me! Its the four piece". Then proceeded to ramble about his job and how bad it is.
I'm willing to give a better review if some follow up action is taken on this

The guys at West Side Movers are truly amazing! I have moved several times within Manhattan over the past couple years, and it has always been a hassle to get things done myself.

My sister and cousin both recommend them and I'm glad I listened. Matt and Jon were beyond helpful and quick to respond. They handled the COIs and worked with the building directly. They dropped off boxes and all packing materials the day after I booked including tape, bubble wrap, and wrapping paper.
The movers were on-time, careful, quick, reasonably priced, and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a smoother and more appropriately budgeted process.
