Services
If the clock goes past 3hrs, additional time is charged in 15 minute increments of the hourly rate. Different clients require different levels of care for their items. Some clients have all IKEA furniture and just need it moved from A to B, while others need professional "white glove" service to ensure the care and safety of all their fragile, precious or valuable items.

He was very late. Did not finish the job and was trying to evade responsibility. I am a very dissatisfied customer and he didn’t care at all. Left in the middle of the job because “he had something very important to do” and didn’t not come back in the time frame he said he would.

I've had two experiences with Ben and his crew and both have been very positive. The whole process of setting up an appointment is very simple and they are pros at dealing with complicated IKEA furniture, South Philly parking wars, etc. Really took a lot of the hassle out of a stressful solo move. Prices seem competitive too. Would recommend these guys to anyone

STAY FAR AWAY!!! HE SHOWED UP 4 hours late!!! He didn't call me to let me know he was going to be late. HE DIDN'T ANSWER MY CALL AND ONLY RESPONDED THROUGH TEXTS. He moved my things and then argued with me about only wanting to pay him the rate he quoted me, $630. With the initial $100 deposit, I still owed him $530. When I paid him the money he got nasty with me and was just rude and unprofessional. He said I tried to shortchange him when I gave him the rest of the money I thought I owed. I have unfortunately had to move twice in the past 6 months, but both times, we used Ben and his crew, and I wouldn't want to move without them. Ben and his team are consumate professionals and clearly know what they are doing. On this second move, I gave short notice and he was still able to find a time for me. They were able to navigate big pieces of furniture through small areas and carry multiple boxes at once to maximize efficiency. All furniture and boxes were also clearly cared for. I've used other movers before, but there is a clear difference between them and Ben the Mover Guy

We've used these guys twice and both moves were amazing. We originally found out about them from friends who moved from West Philly to Germantown.
Before we found Ben's company, we used other moving companies that 1. broke things, 2. damaged walls, and 3. sent over people who were clearly unable/unused to working as a team.
Quick note: I'm a wood worker and build/customize a lot of our furniture. Our pieces have more value to us because of how much time and energy I devote to them. They're also usually heavy as hell because they're solid wood. Whenever I choose a moving

He was a bit busy before the move, but on the day of, Ben was super responsive and on time, did the job quickly and efficiently. Though my room got a little dented, he was helpful in telling me how to repair the issue. Definitely cheaper than other movers out there, and gets the job done well

Ben was great! I told him my situation and he immediately gave me a fair quote and timeframe. He showed up right on time and ready to roll. I unfortunately wasn't able to acquire a U-Haul truck (just the cargo van) and him and his employee made everything of value fit in that van perfectly for my 5 hour drive to NYS. No damage to my apartment, rental van, or any of my valuables -- this guy is a pro tetris player, trust me.
Any negative reviews on here are from people who don't understand how moving works let alone the world, so ignore them. If I could give him 6 stars I would.

Catastrophic destruction and failure to listen to directions and shocking aggressive and bullying to senior disabled female. Hired to pack one day and move the next they blamed me
Do not let these people near your family or your belongings. This catastrophe cost 2400 dollars. The load was ridiculously small

What would I be made about? What would I waste my time to write a review and it not be true? I don't know you! My goal was to get my items moved. Did I lie? You asked for $100 and would provide a quote after the $100 via Venmo! If that's how you do business, that's how you do business but no lies. If your rating and business is so nice, you shouldn't have a problem moving fwd. I just have never heard of paying for anything legit without paperwork.

While looking for a moving company I came across Ben the Mover Guy. We talked on the phone about moving my 3 bedroom house into a storage unit, as my home was sold and I waited for my new home to be ready. A moving date was set, I provided him with an inventory list, signed his contract and paid my deposit. The worst movers ever. He called the night before my move to change his arrival time from late morning to early in the morning. I reluctantly agreed. They packed up my house okay and we were set to leave after about 11 am. We arrived to my new location and started the unpacking. Only the helper was moving items into my new place, Ben never left the truck. Long story short after damaging many items, and several that can never be replaced, Ben made a false stated about me threatening his employee and he refused to finish the move. I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I had a deadline to move my items out of my apartment and the guys got it done with 5 mins to spare. They did what we asked, but along the way things were dropped, knocked over etc. One of the movers told me I should watch the Netflix special regarding becoming a minimalist considering all of the things I had. Not his place to give me his opinion, but I didn't argue because I didn't want my things to be messed up half way through the move. Just glad they showed up and did the job because the next day the movers who were supposed to move me into my new apt

I had a great experience with Ben the Mover Guy!! After receiving estimates from a handful of companies, Ben the Mover Guy was by far the cheapest moving service in Philadelphia. Since he does all of his booking by himself, Ben is fairly busy and might not respond to texts immediately. However, don't be afraid to be proactive when texting him! Ben still responded in a timely manner and I was able to set up an appointment over text with ease.

Ben and his partner did an awesome job. I honestly was not sure it would even be possible to fit my couch through the narrow stairway of my walk-up, but Ben figured out how to take the couch apart into pieces that would fit, then perfectly reconstruct it like new. THe and his partner even moved an extremely heavy fireplace insert up a flight of stairs, making it look easy. He was professional, courteous, and honest. Highly recommend!

Great movers! Ben was very responsive over text for planning the move. There are no surprise extras or additions after the base rate. The actual movers were both friendly and professional. They moved quickly, were flexible/accommodating and got the job done in under the minimum time. The entire process was much more simple than with other movers websites and all the extra charges/information needed, plus the rate was very reasonable. Would use again!

I would highly recommend Ben the Mover Guy! Ben was quick with communication initially and then prompt on arrival to our house. The move was efficiently carried out by him and his other employee. They loaded all of our items into one truckload carefully, then made sure to get directions on most items before dropping them at the new house. They also disassembled our bed frame and reassembled it after the move (we told them about it beforehand). I was very happy to spend money on this service.

Booking Ben was very easy. I texted him less than a week earlier and he responded quickly. Also, the online website to make the deposit was quick and easy.
On the actual day we had to change the time a little due to traffic but Ben was flexible with us. Unfortunately we couldn't get a park with our truck outside our house so they had to cross a road with all our furniture to unload but Ben and his helper were not phased by this. They were super quick at unloading our truck and very friendly. I would happily recommend them to others that are looking for movers. Thanks Ben!

Ben is the real deal! He's really easy to get ahold of for anything, and he's very flexible in the event your plans may change. Ben and his crew arrived on time the day of my move and had everything loaded into their truck in no time. All you need to do is pack and let them know what's going. They had it moved into my new place quickly as well and know how to navigate through tight stairwells and doorways.

Ben was super helpful and professional. He communicated with me throughout the day, and moved my furniture quickly. Unfortunately, my sofa needed to be taken apart because it would not fit down the stairs. Ben did not have the proper tools so he went to Home Depot, and came back to take it apart. He moved it, and put it back together again in very little time. I don't know what I would of done if it wasn't for Ben.
At first, I was considering asking Friends to help me move, but I'm glad I didn't. I couldn't be happier with my decision.
