Communication leading up to the move was good, although the moving team showed up nearly an hour late due to a flat tire.
The two movers were efficient, but indicated that they wrap the furniture in the truck to save time. I think this probably led to some minor damage on my furniture as it was not protected until it was in the truck.
Generally the move went ok until they forced a large couch through a doorway to my basement. They cracked a corner of my kitchen pantry cabinet and scraped a significant portion of the paint off the doorway. I had asked them to get the couch to the basement

I hired Haul Zing on short notice to move me from one one-bedroom apartment to another. I picked them because they could move me sooner than anyone else I called.
I described the situation (both apartments on the 3rd floor, no elevators, first on a garden row where you'd have to park on another street). The person who scheduled me thought that, based on my description, two movers should have everything moved under 3 hours (but they have a 3 hour minimum).
Reader, that person was wrong.
I had the true pleasure of working with Alex and Joe, who immediately informed me I should have hired

Update: Not just a horrible moving company that leaves you in the lurch without a care, but a twilight zone insane one at that.
The day after I posted my review detailing the panic-inducing situation that Haul Zing left me in, someone from the company FINALLY reached out to me. In fact, a young woman named Lisa called me on my cell. At first, she started to reiterate the lies that the movers said about calling me and telling me that they would be late because their truck broke down, etc. etc., but I offered to take screenshots of my phone and text message logs to prove that this was untrue.
The day after I posted my review detailing the panic-inducing situation that Haul Zing left me in, someone from the company FINALLY reached out to me. In fact, a young woman named Lisa called me on my cell. I initially tried to get an estimate from Haul Zing as multiple friends referred me to them, particularly for small moves (1 BR). Unfortunately it was during the weeklong blackout following a summer storm but they followed up with me as soon as they were back up and running to see if I still needed movers. I had booked another company but needed a smaller truck to get under the low clearance to my new building's low dock. They got me scheduled without a problem.
On moving day they were on time with Henry and Everette as my movers. Not only were they friendly and helped the move be quick

After a stupid amount of time spent researching a company in my lowish price range, I went with HaulZing, which was the only company out of the few I ended up emailing that got back to me quickly.
My dad has always helped me move--even if it means flying up from Georgia for a weekend (spoiled)...but the man isn't getting any younger, so I hired movers for the first time.
I couldn't have asked for an easier experience. I felt awkward (but in a good way?) about not having to help at all... Worth every cent.
Also, the two movers had a quality I truly appreciate--friendly and joked with

From the beginning, the guys at Haul Zing were wonderful and true professionals. They responded to emails in a timely fashion, called me to go over the specifics of the move, and showed up early on move day.
Will and Garry are awesome!!! They moved everything at lightning speed and with no problems whatsoever, including a few unwieldy pieces of furniture and a large glass tabletop. Not only would I recommend them for anyone on the lookout for a reliable moving company, but I would use them again in a heartbeat.

One word - terrible.
Company was referred by the movers I normally use (they were already booked).
Long story short - these guys are careless and sloppy. They shattered a 4ft piece of glass, smashed the screen on my plasma TV and cracked a very expensive glass frame.
They refuse to take responsibility and go as far as to accuse me of breaking the TV before they moved it. So now this move went from costing a few hundred dollars to over a thousand.
Do. Not. Use.

While other moving companies in the area were charging a premium for a very small and short move, Haul Zing quoted a much more reasonable price. One would imagine with a lower price the quality of service would decline, however, that was not the case. Will and Henry did a great job moving a few pieces from a small apartment into a condo within two hours. They took extra care of the items that were pointed out during the initial packing of the truck and I'm pleased to say that those items came out in the same condition they were packed. Moving is stressful and painful. We all know that. Knowing that is not the important part. It's the solution to mitigating the stresses and pains of moving that are more important. Thankfully, we have movers in the MoCo area that can provide that: Haul Zing.

I am SO glad I found these guys! It was my first time moving on my own and after hearing so many horror stories about other movers, I had pretty low expectations. But these guys (Will and Everette) just were just fantastic. They were easy to schedule with, on time, prepared, friendly, and very quick and efficient and fairly priced (one of the best quotes I've gotten). They even took some things that I couldn't pack into boxes, which I really appreciated.
Haul Zing is definitely a top choice for moving. If I need to move again, they can count on me on calling them! Shout out to Will

Let me start by saying I will always use this company for moves I am not doing on my own in this area.
I settled on Haul Zing thanks to Yelp. I couldn't believe there was a moving company with 54 reviews and and average five star rating. The reoccurring themes were all things I was looking for:
-A timely response for a quote
-Relatively good pricing
-No hidden fees after the move was completed
-No damaged stuff
-A crew that conducted themselves in an efficient and professional manner.
Gary and Everette were all that and more. I got a flat rate for 2.5 hours the same day I requested

I've moved about 30 times in my life and hired movers about 10 of those times.
They definitely were very professional over the phone, kept me updated on where they were and when they plan in getting here, were on time, and generally did a great job. I had two guys and I think I ended up paying like $550 after tip and stuff.
One of the guys (the main guy) was great but the other kept talking on the phone, claiming that his boss was "chewing him out" for being slow. He asked me if he could charge his phone on my kitchen counter to which I of course I said yes. As I was walking by

So I have to admit, I used Yelp to find HaulZing. Eddie has been great to work with. He was very reasonable when he gave me his quote. I told him that I was concerned about my furniture as well as cost. At the time, he told 3 movers would be sufficient to handle my move. On the day of the move, 4 movers showed up. When I called, he said that he sent out 4 movers to assist because of my concern of my furniture.
Henry, Will, Mike, and Maaku showed up ready willing and able to move my furniture. They expertly handled my roommate and my heavy furniture. The entire apartment move took about 4 1/4

I was done with asking favors from friends, this time I moved with Haul ZIng. I filled out a form describing my move, the items and location. I was able to set it up quickly through email and submitting a credit card for reservation. On the day of the move, Eddie the owner and another mover showed up on time at my door. Eddie, the owner had the most positive attitude, a chatty fellow with a very curious mind who asked lots of questions. They diligently moved the boxes I packed and dismantled everything else that was needed for the move. They were careful with my items so that's a plus because

Talk about a LIFE SAVER!!! I was desperate for moving help, I had procrastinated for too long and it was the week of my move! What's a girl to do?...Eddie responded to my email request within 15 minutes after I sent it with a price quote that made my wallet smile.
Eddie arrived with his helping mover & couldn't have been nicer. They came a little bit earlier, which was better for me because I only had my moving elevator for a limited amount of time that day at my new apartment. I pointed out what needed to be moved, they did all the rest and it only took them 45 minutes to pack

Okay, had I KNOWN I would get $50 dollars off my move, I would have told Eddie was planning on Yelping him! But honestly, I never admit to Yelping until after the fact; otherwise, you're likely to get a show versus the real deal. That being said, don't think I'm not going to bring this up when I call Haul Zing back this Spring for my second move!
