Services
Matt Joyner has lived in Florida all of his life and has been practicing Architecture since 1985. After growing up in North Florida, where he worked as a general contractor, before, during and after college, he relocated to Naples, in Southwest Florida, to solely practice Architecture. Since 1991 we have been providing Architectural services for new construction, remodeling and renovations, and volunteer project services within our community.
There are many architectural styles that could be considered appropriate for the sub-tropic climate that we live in. Given the intense sun and amount of rain that we experience in southwest Florida a few styles have become synonymous in bringing the exterior inside and opening the interiors to the outside.
Typical Construction details we specify for the Southwest Florida Subtropical climate. These are not required by the Building Codes however in many ways our specifications exceed those codes. The following details are arranged in what we refer to as proper and improper scenarios. Each series relates to a system in itself and its integration into the total building envelope.
