There are many companies out there that will take advantage of you especially if you have very little knowledge about HVAC systems. I had consultation meetings with Adam, the owner, and Hector. These two gentleman are straight shooters and will give you an honest assessment of your HVAC system. I wanted to try a different H & A Company so looked on Yelp. I saw all the positive posts about the Ellis Co., so gave them a call. I was given a two hour time frame between 8-10 am. I asked if it was possible to have the appt no later than 9, as I had to leave at 10. Hector showed up at 9, and did a thorough check of my AC unit. He took grid off the top that covers the fan and vacuumed out the whole inside of leaves, and debris. The last time the other company I had used came out, I asked if they could please vacuum it out. Adam and his crew replaced our HVAC right before the heat wave started. We have brand new carpet, so I was a tiny bit worried, but they were meticulous and left the house spotless, not a trace of dust or anything. They were in and out in about a half a day. An unbelievable difference between our old and new ducting system. The coldest of mornings we would write it off that it just wasn't going to warm up downstairs. Our HVAC system was easily rated for our home, but the ducting design was not efficient. Adam and his team within one day reconstructed our ducting and now the heat flows downstairs nearly instantly. The days of bundling up in the morning to head down are over. With the increased flow, it also increased our operating efficiency and its running half the time.

Our house has a somewhat fancy thermostat, integrated with the security system. When it warmed up and we tried to turn on the AC, it wouldn't come on. After checking what few obvious things I knew to check, I called these folks. They responded quickly, showed up on time, and fixed the issue right away. A loose wire, almost too small to see, necessitated a return visit to fix the heat, but they did that quickly as well. Dan was very friendly, professional, and efficient. I'll definitely keep them on my short list of pros in the Sacramento area!

Ellis Heating and Air did a great job installing my new system. I got an excellent deal, they were fast and very neat. New ductwork was also installed and there was no sign of debris anywhere inside the house and all of the old equipment and ducts work was quickly taken away and the outside was left clean and tidy. I highly recommend Ellis Heating and Air.

Watching this company in action was impressive. The owner Adam was on site first thing in the am and NO time was wasted. This was a full changeout including ventilation ducts in the attic. The crew takes their job seriously and pay close attention to detail. It's obvious they have been doing this for a long time and they came highly recommended. They came prepared and had the job done in no time. There was virtually no inconvenience and they cleaned up 100% when they were done. Fully satisfied and would HIGHLY recommend them for any AC work. In May, I turned on my AC and nothing happened. After consulting Yelp I decided to call Ellis Heating and Air. They were prompt with the callback making an appointment. Service Tech Steve showed up right on time and diagnosed the problem, a bad switch at the condenser. He was able to bypass the switch and get the unit up and running.

Our old A/C was dying a slow death so we decided it was time to change. We didn't know who to contact but was referred to Adam, and the crew at Ellis. Wow! Were we glad for that referral. Adam came by our place soon after we set the appointment and give us some straight answers. We recently had Bonney Plumbing come out for scheduled maintenance on our furnace. These guys put an entire HVAC system into my house this fall and were outstanding!
