Purchased a 2001 Boxster S from them. Initially the arrangement was that they would ship the car to central CA, and I paid $600 for that shipping. However, it turned out they had calculated shipping for delivery in LA and no driver was readily handy to take the car to my location. Not to worry, I said I'd find someone to pick up and deliver the car, if Maximum would refund my $600. The salesperson Teddy and the general manager Micah ok'd the new arrangement. I paid $1,100 to get the car shipped to the central CA location. The $600 refund never appeared. Micah simply offers excuses that

This dealership is GREAT! I recently bought a 2007 4runner that had a few issues when I went to look at it. Maximum Auto Search made everything right! They made the necessary repairs I asked for and within a few days, I drove this beautiful SUV of the lot. The sales guys were straight up and honest about everything. Great experience at this dealership. My 21 year old sister wanted to buy her first car and from the beginning, Sergio was incredibly helpful without being too pushy. We visited 3 separate times and each time had a great experience.
These guys feel very upfront and honest, doesn't feel like a shady or super commercial dealership. Micah the general manager was fantastic and handled her loan paperwork personally and was all around an incredibly nice guy to work with. Brandt in the finance department was great too and helped get her rate even lower.

Ariel Lopez and the finance crew were great to work with. We were able to get the car we wanted for a good price and great terms. Not only that but we were able to refinance an existing loan at the same time, all without missing dinner that night! 10/10 recommend working with these people if you’re looking for a car.

Overall just had a wonderful experience. Single female looking for a car is always a bit of a gamble, but I was beyond pleased. Luis had the car I was looking for all ready and was extremely kind and patient with me. Brandt in financing was so kind and explained everything I needed to know. A couple of the other staff members were super sweet and offered lovely small talk while we were waiting on paperwork.

I have had so many problems with this place. Today I spent hours on the phone calling the bank because they did not make the final pay off on a vehicle in time so there is interest owed. Now I have bad marks on my credit report. I brought this up to Micah the GM his response- sometimes were a bit short, its now your problem.

Had bought a car yesterday.
Was stressing about the oil level for some reason, before checking it. Glad I checked it. Was very dark. Little no oil in it. Mazda speed 3, I came here to not have to deal with these problems. I really should have read reviews before buying a car here.
Not only is oil low. Turbo is leaking and oil pan is leaking. Whole bottom end is in rough shape.
Definitely don't do business here. Glad there is a warranty. I also putt several thousand dollars down.

Sneaky and Deceptive Dealership-Beware!!
I bought a Volvo XC 90 from this dealership, Many things were wrong with this vehicle that were not disclosed to me upon purchase. I drove the vehicle home and on the 4 hour drive - 4 different lights came on the dash regarding issues with the vehicle. Of course, this was 1 hour after, I signed all of the paperwork and purchased the vehicle. One of the most sneaky things was that a sensor involving the brakes (pump/vacuum) was deliberately disabled, I learned this after the brakes went out and I brought it to a certified Volvo service repair shop.

WARNING!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! Absolutely shady. I bought an 8 year old vehicle which of course passed their inspections but in two weeks I had to get a rear axle leak fixed. Found out both front axles need to replaced and they "offered" to pay half the cost to do the service. Turns out half their cost is FULL cost at my trustworthy mechanic. Two months later the alternator died. Had to get towed, then I found out the air conditioner compressor and the battery are both dead. $1,500 out of pocket because Maximum p.o.s warranty is worthless. And I haven't yet replaced the damn front

I test drove a Tundra and had my mechanic check it out. I didn't buy the truck that day, I wanted more information on maintenance that had been done to it. I got the info I was looking for and decided to purchase the vehicle. I put 500 dollars down to hold the vehicle for me. Told my salesman I am on my way to pick it up. Got half way there he sends me text saying don't come they sold just sold it to another customer. My salesman put up on the board the truck has been sold, put the truck way in the back lot and stapled sold tag to the keys. Another salesman

These guys are shady af when it comes to numbers. I told them 10k was my bottom line, so instead of dropping their price $250 like I thought, they didn't collect the city taxes. That was a super nice surprise when I went to DMV.

My used SUV had a broken latch on the center council when I took possession of it, but it was in writing that they would replace it in the first 30-days of my owning it. Shouldn't be problem... wrong.
Day one of owning it and it's struggling to fire from a cold start. Take it to Autozone and find out the battery is going out. Of course, this isn't covered under the swindlers' 30-day "Maximum Certified Warranty

They talk of their 21 point inspection, it's worthless.
My car fell apart on the way home. Brakes started to make noise, all the warning lights lite up like a Christmas tree. Several thousand dollars later it runs ok. Still not as well as it rode for my test drive. ( transmission issue, ball joints issue) They must have taped everything together and gave me a sight warranty. Once it's out of sight that's the end of the warranty.
Their promise to take care of 2 problems was a joke.

I visited Maximum Auto Search to test drive one of their vehicles and get a trade-in value on my car. For some reason, the right person to give me a value on my trade-in was not available, so I was told they would call or text me with a value. A few days later, I had heard nothing. I called the salesperson, Sal, and he said he would call me in 15 minutes. Still nothing. A couple days later I called Sal again and he said he would get that for me. Again nothing!.
I finally called back complaining about not being able to get a simple value and spoke with Rocky who said he was the used car manager

I had an excellent experience from beginning to end. I purchased a Porsche Cayenne and had it shipped. First I worked with Stephanie Smith to begin the financing and scheduling the test drive. Buying a car sight unseen is a harrowing experience, particularly when the dealership is a thousand miles away. Luckily I have a friend who works 45 minutes away and was able to drive the car on my behalf. After being assured the car's condition matched my expectations I was ready to complete the paperwork.
