The event I am, talking about now is their Seattle Summer Streets event. Streets are closed to cars in an effort to bring people together in neighborhoods.
Thus, in a busy neighborhood like Phinney/Ballard where I volunteered.. people can play in the streets; art can happen; children can run; businesses can have reps pass out flyers; groups can communicate with prospective clients and consumers.
It is fun, free and a lovely means
