Sure, there are hundreds of moving companies -- just in the Bay Area alone. But we started our own company because we believe we can provide unparalleled service and value. And we actually enjoy moving! Charlie and Kevin have worked for some of the best moving companies in the Bay Area for over 14 years, and 6 of those years they worked together at the same company.
We are here to take away your worries and even put a smile on your face. We accommodate moves of all sizes. Whether you're moving out of your folks house into your first apartment or relocating your entire family to a different city, you will not find better service and value. It is no secret that interstate moving often results in nightmares.
Oh no you di'int! Yes you did. You bought a fabulous new sofa, a bed, or an armoire that won't fit through your door or narrow, windy stairwell. If you have a large window or balcony, we can do wonders with a bit of rope, some muscle, and a whole lotta know-how. If you are moving out of state, across the country or overseas, call us to take care of it.
We can give you a general idea how long a move can take, but the amount of time it takes to move any given apartment or house is different depending on access (lots of steps, on a steep hill, elevator issues, etc.) and your level of preparedness. All local movers charge for actual time worked, regardless of what is quoted over the phone.
To ensure a stress-free move, let us pack for you. All you need to do is schedule a date. We have packed thousands of homes over the course of 10+ years, so we can do in one day what might take you several weeks. Most people who pack themselves are bleary-eyed, sleep-deprived and stressed-out because they're far from being ready when we arrive.

I've hired Top Gun twice now and couldn't be happier. The first time was for moving a Steinway antique grand piano that was extremely heavy because it is also a automatic player piano. They took extreme care in protecting the piano ant plotting the move. Well done.
Today they came in and removed a one piece stacked washer and dryer that had to be lifted over a bathtub to be removed from a recessed nook.
Not at all easy but they knew exactly how to handle the job. They then helped to install a new washer and dryer which again had to be lifted over a bathtub and into a recessed nook.

I hired Top Gun and they did a great job.
The issue that I had was that when they arrived, they doubled the price. They said that their appraiser underestimated the job. But 50%. ? I was very careful to tell them exactly what was in my home.
They have me over a barrel and I felt like I had no other option but to pay them.
What's fishy about it is that they had two extra movers available. Price went from $1,000 to $2,000 !!!
If you hire them please ask them to come out and give you a written estimate upfront.
Otherwise, they're a great group.

I had a full day of moving. HEAVY appliances had to go up and even heavier old appliances had to go down a narrow flight of Victorian stairs followed by moving a hot tub through a gate with only 1" space around it, commercial 60" range and countless heavy and bulky furniture items including a 7' couch, computer rack, TV, and lots of boxes.
It took all day, Charlie, the owner, a stand-up guy under pressure, had to call in extra crew off another job, but by about 6 PM they were done. Nothing broken. Amazing. I'd recommend them for just about anything.

These guys are the best! Charlie and his crew are careful, always punctual, the nicest guys in the world and a great value. I've made two major moves in the last year using Top Gun Irish Movers and just referred my ex-husband to Charlie for a move from Concord to Daly City. I'm hoping not to ever, ever move again! But if I do I will certainly be calling Charlie at Top Gun.

These guys were wonderful for our move yesterday! After a little cyber miscommunication, email that didn't go through confirming our booking, Charlie made sure that everything was in place for our move with less than 24 hours notice. Our crew showed up on time with big smiles and great attitudes and worked hard to get us packed up moved and unpacked. I recommend Charlie and his crew for any move you need to make! They won't let you down!

Another relationship ended, another move. While crying in my cornflakes, I called my trusty Corrib movers only to find they were booked up during my move window! Bummer! They recommended Top Gun and I'm so glad they did, these guys saved my skin. Available when I needed them, totally professional and absolutely crushed the move. I got them for both the packing and moving service. They showed up 10 minutes early, hustled nonstop, finished early and for less than the quoted price. In less than 3.5 hours, they packed all my stuff and moved me within San Francisco to my new place. Everything

I was recommended to use Top Gun by my apartment building I was moving into. Charlie, the person who I was connected with after filling out their estimate quote on their website, was super nice and very accessible. He answered all my questions and explained their fees thoroughly.
The quote they gave me was in the ballpark of what I actually paid and I felt at ease knowing there were no hidden fees that I was paying for. The team they sent were on time, efficient and friendly.
My only note from the move is that they do not wrap mattresses with the plastic wrap and instead charge for mattress

Top Gun just moved us back into our home after our remodel, and just like the move out, their service, speed and demeanor was wonderful!
This time James, Mark and William worked with us, and a finer group of guys you will never meet!
On budget, with no surprises, always on time, and ALWAYS gracious.

Very efficient: Charlie and Kevin packed a whole household in record time and the following day four movers moved our household quickly.
Top Gun Irish Movers provide a great service and are also very courteous. The rates are comparable for a professional service. You could find cheaper movers, but the cheaper movers would also cut corners and would definitely not be as reliable.
We hope not to move again, soon, but would choose Top Gun Irish Movers!

I needed some priceless collectables moved from a store going out of business in the Union Square area. I needed a reliable and trustworthy crew to handle this. Top Gun & Irish Moving & Storage was highly recommended by another moving company I trusted who were completely booked on the date that I needed. When I bought my new armoire I knew it was going to be too big to come up the stairs. I mean this thing is a monster. 400lbs. total. Charlie saved the day. After an initial check on Friday when the piece arrived, he was back Monday with a crew, a crane and a carpenter. With careful precision, his team loaded it through our bedroom window.
It's obvious that Charlie and his team take great pride in their work. Thank you, Charlie, for getting our armoire home!
