The harmful effects of water are significantly reduced when acted upon within 24 to 48 hours before further destruction can occur.
Storms are inevitable and the destruction they leave can be daunting. Hail, wind, snow, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes can bring down trees, tear off siding, and damage Minneapolis properties in a matter of minutes. While preventing storm damage is next to impossible, but restoring your property is our specialty.
We believe that every situation is unique. We help you figure out your construction plan making sure to take your current finances, schedule, insurance plan, goals, and other needs into account. Once you've decided on what the areas of the construction build are going to be, we'll give you timely updates as well as ongoing support on your project from inception to completion.
After speaking with you an Estimator will be assigned to come and inspect your property. We will meet with you as soon as possible and in most cases, within 2 hours of your call. After our initial inspection we will be able to give you a better idea of a repair schedule. We will need your deductible along with the signed contract in order to get a Field Supervisor assigned to your project and to get your repairs scheduled.

18 months of HELL! I was a victim of an a electrical fire, these people sought me out (fire chasers) and promised me the world. They took 100s of thousands of dollars from me and let my house sit, didn't pay the sub contractors or communicate what needed to be done. It took 18 months, that's right almost 2 years after countless altercations then they dropped me without completing the job because I held them accountable for shotty work. Do not hire these people even the owner didn't care about what his workers put my family through. They are scammers! I was threatened with liens from their sub contractors

Bathroom torn down/rebuilt, hallway, room living room hardwood floors needed repair and patching
Kind of hard to rate during Covid, -were some delays but due to Covid so nothing can de done there, hardwood floor and stain guys were especially good along with Project Manager to coordinate all during difficult time.

When my bathroom had water damage my insurance company recommended J Benson. Looking at previous reviews I had my reservations. Glad I didn't find a different company. J Benson contractors promptly came to the house and were able to get started right away. Final product looked great. Would refer to family and friends.

We bought a home they did work on and we had to fight with them for almost a month to get them to finish what the previous owners had already paid them to do.
They replaced the roof, siding and inside flooring. The carpet is separating from the tack strip in several rooms already. The laminate floorboards they installed are separating. They leave behind roof and siding pieces after they're done. They also did the gutters wrong.
They did come "clean up" and "fix" the gutters, but I am still finding trash from their work 4 months later. i also need to fix the gutters next spring due to poor craftsmanship

The work itself seems fine; that gets a "4." The low score is for the subsequent invoicing and customer service, or lack thereof. Back in March a neighbor's tree punctured my garage roof. J. Benson is recommended by my insurance agent so they perform "emergency services;" i.e. remove the branch and cover the roof with a tarp while I work out insurance with my neighbor, based on Benson's estimate. I receive an invoice for the "emergency services" only before insurance is settled; insurance is then approved shortly after so I send in the contract with my $500 deposit and they complete the work. The
