We moved twice within a year and both times with San Diego Moving Company. Both moves were complicated. I cannot praise the entire team more highly. From the moment we booked, Darren and Turath personally followed up on every detail. We had the same crew on the two moves so that on the second move the guys remembered all my quirky requests from the first move. They were careful, courteous, friendly and hardworking---every single one. I don't plan on moving again, but I will certainly be recommending them to anyone who is.

Excellent moving company for our local move. The account manager was helpful before we moved with planning the correct # of men+trucks when I wasn't sure what we needed and also didn't want to overhire/overpay. Day of the move, the 5 guys arrived with energy and positive attitudes (they all seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs), were careful and efficient to get a somewhat stressful day (for us) tackled. If I could give 6 stars I would, and if I ever have to move again within the San Diego area I'll certainly be using San Diego Moving Company. The team was very friendly, hardworking, efficient, and timely. Moving is the literal worst but it was made spectacularly easy with the help of SD Moving Company!

Our experience warrants this review.
1.Furniture damaged (See photos)
They were young workers and not careful or didn't care. Darren paid a very small amount for three damaged pieces of furniture. We continued to find more damages. I did not include all in photos.
2.worked at a slow pace with frequent breaks and lots of talking. Charged By the hour.
Two men who put the furniture together worked hard.
3.makeshift/shortcuts taken due to material shortages. All furniture wasn't wrapped or protected causing damage. Underestimated the job and didn't bring adequate amount of supplies

It's my second time using this company and they did a great job again! I had a unique move, since I was going directly into my neighbor's house (remodeling my home). So we didn't pack anything. I just told the guys to walk everything over! It went great! I'll be calling them again to move me back into my house after the remodel is done.

We experienced a pleasant surprise with San Diego Moving Co. We have moved several times, but this time, we truly felt relaxed because we trusted the movers. The movers did not cut corners; they treated each piece of furniture like it was their own. They quickly responded to our requests. We appreciate their personal attention and high level of professionalism. Overall, they knew how to move effectively within the estimated time frame. I would highly recommend this company.

Darren and his crew did a fantastic job of moving my 2 bedroom condo from Hillcrest to La Mesa in record time. The crew was careful, organized, respectful and overall did a great job with my furniture....wrapping it all in plastic wrap and protective blankets so nothing got damaged.
I would highly recommend these guys without hesitation.

Darren and the guys showed up on time and ready to move us. It was smooth, painless and almost too easy (it was a great price).
The entire move from point A to point B was efficient and happened quickly (4 hours tops) for two people (from 1BD/1BA overcrowded to a 2BD/2BA).
If the customer is ready to move, so were the moving guys- we had all boxes packed and they showed up to finish the job.
Also, if we had question, they had a solution. Nothing was broken and they wrapped up furniture with blankets/tape, plus took extra care with the walls/ doors/ corners during placement of furniture and boxes

Darren who is the owner was fantastic. He was very professional, courteous and incredibly helpful. He made sure everything was smooth and stress free at every step of the move. I have never experienced a moving company that cared so much about the customer's satisfaction. Two of his employees Jay and Parker were equally formidable in helping make a difficult move seem easy. They were very professional and compassionate.

These guys were super professional, timely and the communication was excellent. It was quite a large job and the crew that was with us stayed on task until the last piece was moved. Not only did San Diego Moving exceed my expectations as far as service, speed and a painless moving experience, they got it done at a lower price than many other places. This is the absolute best moving company I've ever used! This is written after my 3rd experience with Darren and his incredible team. First, I'd like to point out that this is a small, family-owned and operated business right here in San Diego. I have some large, some antique and very sentimental furniture that of course I was concerned with hiring just anyone to move for me. After my 1st experience, I knew I never needed to search again. By far the BEST and EASIEST move ever. In the history of all moves.
My husband, toddler and I were moved from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom condo. We packed all of our things ourselves because we've been packed by military hired packing companies and we were just over it.
The crew (1 driver, 3 crew people? That's what we'll call them) showed up EXACTLY at 9 am, introduced themselves and they were off. They took apart our bed (which saved us a lot of stress), respected our 'do not pack' area and we were completely moved out of our apartment in 2 hours. We drove

Last minute move... called Darren on Sunday after my friends and family left me sitting with an empty 26ft Uhaul truck. Cost me $$$ and a lot of anger issue. Should've said "party on Sunday" and everyone would've showed up.
Desperate, I must've called 5 or 6 moving companies prior to calling San Diego Moving company and getting a warm response.
Next day Darren and his crew of 3 showed up to help me move. I asked for 3 people crew but Darren showed up and gave us an extra hand. How nice is that!

We used San Diego Moving Company on December 12th to move our 2 bedroom apartment to another building in our same complex. I decided to write this review now because I thought I would feel better about it with time, but I still don't think it went well.
I spoke with the GM Darren multiple times before moving day, and thought we were set for a quick and easy move. The two movers got to our place around 9AM; We had everything boxed up and were anxious to get started.
