This project involved putting together a complete outdoor kitchen with a stylish painted arbor above. Take a look a just a few of the landscaping jobs we have completed in the Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Jose areas. From tiered planters to unique and beautiful water features we have done it all. This Eagle Ridge home received one of our premiere builds, with paver work in the front, side and back yards.
Our project went smoothly and met our expectations. Tom was very creative and knowledgeable. Tome and his crew were very friendly and professional. They also provided ideas that we did not think of. We are very satisfied and happy with all the work they did and we will use them in the future and will recommend them to our friends, neighbors, and family.

I did a project May 2016 working with Nor Cal Landscape whom as a landscape architect I designed and asked Nor Cal to bid, in Menlo Park. The work, budget, and subsequent bid of approximately $75,000 was decided upon in a team fashion with the client, in a fully informed way, with options if desired via change orders. We worked hand in hand discussing ideas, clients' very low maintenance/low water and permanent, colorful plantings goals, scope of work, possible situations and how to determine conditions via investigation, solutions, and what was found upon investigating the 50-year old drainage

Tom Wilder has a lot of nerve using pictures of my job on his website! (Check out "Circular Works of Art." That sunken conversation area with fire pit surrounded by pavers is all my yard. If you look closely, you can tell the fire pit is not round. That's because Tom called off the crew that had been working meticulously to create a "work of art," and he attempted to finish the job alone. He did not have the knowledge or experience to do my job, and it showed. Suddenly the work was not up to par. Unfortunately, when I called to report the problem, he threw a hissy fit

I'm disabled and have two broken sprinkler heads in my tiny front yard. I called Nor Cal to give an estimate of how much would be to come out and fix the sprinkler heads and turn back on the electronic sprinkling system.

Whoever answered the phone, twice, answered, "hello." I had to ask if this was Nor Cal, and then they said yes. It makes me wonder if this is really even a licensed business?

Anyway, the quote to fix two broken sprinkler heads, which I could probably do myself if I were able for about $30, was a minimum of $400!

RIDICULOUS!

BEFORE YOU USE THIS COMPANY, I WOULD

I do not recommend this company. Rude, curses a lot, doesn't return phone calls and doesn't show up to appointments for estimates, not once but three times. Work done by Nor Cal at friend's house turned out shotty at best. Crooked fencing, lattice, already falling apart after only a year. What about permits? Says we don't need them? Too bad we really wanted this company to do our work but kind of glad he dogged us after reviewing his work and ethics. We took our business elsewhere. Thank you.

I interviewed five different landscapers before selecting Nor Cal; Tom was the best by a long shot. We had the crew rip out old concrete and put in pavers in our front and backyard. It's completely changed the feel and functionality of our yard. The job even inspired our neighbor's to re-do their front yard too.

Through out the process Tom was committed to ensuring we met our project goals within budget. He made thoughtful recommendations, had incredible attention to detail, and was persistent in ensuring we made informed decisions.

His crew was also top notch. They have worked together

I've had Tom and his crew do a couple of projects out at my house and they did a really good job. Tom is a very laid back individual and has great input when it comes to a project.
We had him do a rock retaining wall and when I stated that I did not like the way it turned out, he fixed it on the spot without any questions or charging extra. I would definitely recommend Nor Cal Landscape for jobs both big and small. Don't pay attention to the one guy who blasts the company with bad reviews.

The 1200 sq ft patio extension done by NorCal heaved after one rain and had to be completely ripped out and re-done. All of the concrete pros that looked at this were blown away at how shoddy the work from NorCal had been. Specifically, they cited:
* No epoxy used in the rebar dowels and consequently many pulled out
* Rebar dowels were only #3 (3/8") and not #4 (1/2") and consequently they bent too
* Rebar dowels were only every 6-8' apart vs 16"-24" spacing industry standard
* Excavation was WAY too shallow, 0-2", vs 4-6" industry norm
* No deepened edge of

Called Nor Cal Landscape for an initial consultation. Tom needs a lesson in how to promote his business. He may do good work (?) but because of his attitude on the telephone, I will never know.
