Definitely worst moving experience I've ever had, third move in the Bay Area in as many years. The corporate company contracts out the work, and there is a very dire disconnect between the two.
I was quoted ~$800 for my move sight unseen. I insisted they come out and do an on-site quote as I had a lot of furniture and they insisted the quote was reasonable and refused. Turns out the move was $1500 + $300 in tip (the movers haggled with me for 40 minutes to get this number).
When the movers arrived they refused to start work because they thought it would take too long with just them and insisted

They did a great job with our move. We usually rent a van/truck and move ourselves, but this time, we hired movers because we had medical issues.
They arrived in the agreed-upon window, with wardrobe boxes that made it easy to move our little things. The guys were polite and reasonably efficient, especially as the last move of a busy Sunday. They even helped put our bed back together at our new place, since we would have had trouble doing it.
I would hire them again for another move.

I hired Strongman to help me move on 5/26/2019. I was confirmed for three movers for three hours to help me pack up my 2 bedroom apartment in San Francisco. There was a nonrefundable $50 deposit. The day of the move, only two people showed up. One of them was pretty nice and worked hard to help us, but throughout the move they had an attitude like it was a major inconvenience to move typical things, like a couch or a mattress, down the stairs. Even though their attitude threw me off and they only worked for 2.5 hours, I appreciated them and I tipped the two of them very well at 40%.

Wonderful, quick, on-time and careful movers! I scheduled this move five days before my move-out. They were very communicative and efficient from booking until the move was finished. Aleksei and Dmitry were so nice and took care of all my things. No dents or scratches :) Everything was wrapped and secured. I was especially worried about my desk, but they took the extra steps to make sure it made the move. Totally recommend!!!

Great movers. Moved from SF to Daly City. I lived on the top floor of a 5 floor building with no elevator. These guys did not complain and even apologized for taking 1-2 minutes to rest every now and then. Best value as they don't charge for the moving truck or the driving time unlike others. Also they were a lot cheaper to move on a weekday if you can fit it in your schedule.

I had a last minute move but Strongman was readily available the next day! Aleksei and Ruslan arrived promptly at 5:30 PM and helped move my 1-bedroom apartment with a coach, bed, huge desk, two cabinets, coffee table, tv, kitchen cabinet, and ALOT more. They were very efficient and professional and super helpful! I really appreciate everything they did. They wrapped everything up nicely to make sure nothing broke.

I highly recommend this company, the guys they sent to do my move (Aleksei , Eduard and Ruslan ) were very helpful , nice, polite and professional.
They are strong men lol, they move my furniture up from the 4th floor with the tiny elevator I have and they used the stairs as well.
They packed my furniture in a very protective way and prevented damages.

Every part of working with Strongman from the day I got the quote to moving day was frustrating. I'm shocked how they could possibly have so many 5 star reviews.
A summary of my experience:
- I suggested that the street I was moving to was narrow, and could they advise me on how to get a permit. They said, "you'll have to do that yourself, but if we get a ticket, you have to pay." It took me over a week to then get someone to respond to my e-mails and phone calls with the information I needed to request the permit (size of the truck, etc). They won't proactively tell

My father passed away and left us most of his belongings. I didn't want anything to get broken. I couldn't get time off from work to pack so we hired Strongman. The previous move was a disaster. Broken china cabinet that had been in my family for 50 years.
These guys were not only careful but they listened to me as I explained how I wanted everything packed and moved. I was so stressed out but after seeing how they work and what they did to protect our belongings, I was able to return to work and leave them to finish the job.

Moving is always so stressful. I've used several companies and have had some decent experiences and unfortunately some very bad experiences with missing/broken items. I usually trust word of mouth and yelp reviews and read through the comments on their page and checked them out.
Glad I did as they were professional - and I impressed with how fast and efficient they are. They are really nice and great with communication.

I normally don't reach out to strangers or companies to help me move my belongings, but I've accumulated so much the past years that it was just much needed. After all, I do have my man to help me out just not enough man power to get it all done.

Alex and Mike are awesome! This was the first time I've hired movers and although I didn't have too many items, it was a massive relief to have their help.
I moved from a narrow one-way street where the Cable Car runs and was super anxious the truck wouldn't fit but they were accommodating and ensured me they'd make it work.
They handled all my items with care and wrapped things up securely to ensure they wouldn't get damaged. Highly highly recommend and will for sure use their services again. Thank you, Strongman! :)

IM SPEECHLESSS!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful moving experience. I just moved from my old apartment to my new place. I didn't have to handle anything! They took care of everything: the drive, the stuff, the unloading. These movers were super diligent and careful while handling my furniture. NO LOST ITEMS!! In addition, pricing is very reasonable. I had really bad experiences in the past, but this time everything went SO SO smoothly!

I was relieved and glad that Strongman helped my family move. We were moving from one part of Daly City to another and had a lot of heavy things to move in very tight spaces due to the small apartment. We had two beds and a couch that needed to be wisely maneuvered and Strongman made it look easy. Needless to say, Strongman disassembled the furniture in a timely and efficient manner. They were very professional and respectful of the items we needed. For example, my mother has antique jars and they are quite delicate. Strongman wrapped the items and did not slam or drop anything. If you're looking to move your stuff, this is the place to go to! Usually, I'm a bit skeptical about whose moving my things because they get damaged during the moving process. But it's not the case with this company! They are very careful and efficient when moving your stuff. Super reliable because they get there right on time and they're super friendly too! What more can you ask for?!

Impressive. That's pretty much states it all. After some ordeal of moving multiple pieces of furniture from several other locations like a friend's place. I didn't want to do anything anymore. I contacted these guys and they promptly quoted me and actually kept in touch on communications throughout the process even before I selected them. I needed to move stuff from Socal to Norcal and with the distance and timing, these guys did it all and made the move MUCH less stressful. Everybody knows, moving is stressful. Packing and moving is never fun but one of my friends told me to hire a moving company to help and it just took the stress and headaches away. This was my first time using a moving company and I couldn't be any more satisfied with the help of Strongman. They also have multiple locations.
I used this location to help me load all of my things for my move! I moved from San Francisco to Orange County. And luckily, they have another location in Orange that helped me unload (which you can read my review on their OC Location)
