NYP movers were very good! I moved from North Bethesda, Md to Charlotte, NC and everything went super smoothly with a turn around time of 24 hours. Brandon and Sean were kind, took their time with everything and so professional! There was a third gentleman who helped move my things from the Maryland apartment who’s name I don’t remember, but he was excellent as well. I have used this company for local moves in the past and I’m very happy I chose them for my out of state move. I highly recommend Name Your Price Movers. The entire experience from start to finish was exceptional. Communication - Ali and team were very quick to reply and extremely flexible for our time frames. Efficient - the movers took our stressful day and turned it stress free with their very careful, but quick moving team. I was in awe how fast stuff was moving out of apartment and into the new one. Friendly - Staff were friendly, respectful of our items, and handled everything with care as if it was their own. Overall, extremely happy with our choice, would 5/5 use again in our future moves!!

Punctual and efficient. They arrived before our moving start time of 8:00 am, which was a big deal and wonderful surprise. They were also extremely efficient and professional. The entire experience was superb. The crew was efficient and friendly, communication was easy, and the overall quality was well worth the price. Even though we ran a bit over budget, they honored their original price guarantee.
We had needed to move for a couple years, as we had outgrown the space. I could not be happier with the move and packing job. While I hope I don't have to move soon, I would immediately look to them for my next move.

I was dreading my move. I’m a single mom and was worried that I wouldn’t be able to move on my own. The team at NYPM was professional and helpful from the start, explaining to me what to expect and preparing me for all that was involved. I thought I would get maybe 2 movers, they sent 4! They were on time, so patient, and hauled away all that I no longer needed from my storage. Nothing broken, nothing missing. True professionals! I strongly recommend!

If you need movers, you should definitely go with Name Your Price. I recently moved, and other moving companies was quoting $$$$, which made no sense. NYP quote was clear, and gave all the details. Also didn't charge crazy fees. They provided their window of arrival, and was on time. My move was professionally done for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommended! The guys were all very polite and didn't waste any time getting to work. They wrapped every piece of my furniture in plastic, which was much appreciated. No extra charge for going up and down stairs! The price was much more reasonable than other movers I used at the same location a couple years earlier. No surprise fees, I paid what was initially quoted.

Ali was wonderful at helping get a time set up that worked well for me to get movers in and over to my new apartment. They were very kind, hard working, and worked fast. The only issue was that they came at the end of the hour time frame I was given, which cut even closer to the limited time I had access to the loading dock at my new apartment, and I had multiple car trips of things left behind I had to go back for. I would’ve happily paid for more time with them had they been able to take it all. But the value was wonderful and we will definitely be using them again if needed.

Very responsive and professional. We moved smaller boxes ourselves but needed the sectional, beds, and other large items moved. The three employees who showed up to move our stuff were friendly and very fast. Our stuff was packed well and they did not waste any time (since we would have to pay after the first three hours). Very reasonable and good rate and all around great service. Would highly recommend

I used the Thumbtack app to find movers and NYP Movers were highly recommended. Unfortunately my experience with them has been less than stellar. The 2 person crew showed up on time, but it was clear immediately that one of the guys was not interested in doing his job. He had no sense of urgency/care and moved extremely slow. He also continually kept dropping my things on the way to load the truck. It took them 3 hours just to load a one bedroom apartment into the truck despite me only having like 15 boxes and living room/bedroom furniture. The guy then proceeded to break one of my furniture pieces

Absolutely horrible service and even worse attitude. They literally dragged my mattress on the ground and then had the nerve to say "not a good mattress". I told them during the quote process that my mattress was very heavy! They damaged my sofa and denied it. When it comes time to pay expect a 5% extra charge if you're using credit card that they don't tell you about until the very end. One very respectful mover and the other was absolute trash! Would not recommend and will NEVER be using again!! Oh by the way they don't offer movers insurance surprise surprise...

The quality of the move definitely depends on the crew they send. I have used them twice. The first I would rate 5/5, no issues and on-budget. The second time, this March, I would rate at zero stars. They spent 4 hours ($600, significantly over budget) to move my furniture and packed boxes into a new apartment within the same building, and the job was still incomplete. First, they asked where I wanted the boxes to go. I gave them several locations. They decided to put all of the boxes in the living room before they moved any furniture into the apartment. That meant none of my living room furniture

Stas and the crew with NYP Movers were beyond incredible! They efficiently and safely loaded up our 3 BR townhome in under three hours and unloaded it in GA the next day. Each member of the team was professional, responsive, and pleasant to work with. They exceeded every expectation we had. I hope to never move again, but if I do, NYP Movers will be my first call!

I've had two wonderful experiences with Name Your Price Movers. First, was a short move from DC to Virginia in October. The most recent was a much longer move from Virginia to Tennessee in March. The movers were on time, efficient and handled all of my belongings with care. The pricing was also impeccable! I priced out several movers both times and Name Your Price Movers was by far the cheapest. I would highly recommend Ali and his team to anyone. The experience is seamless!

NYP mover did an excellent job on our move. We did not have far to go, but it took a couple of trips to our apartment and an additional load up and trip to our storage unit. Our movers, Malak, Greg and Tet were all very nice and barely lost momentum in a 9 hour job! I know I was exhausted and I didn't do anywhere near as much as they did. ;)
Our scheduled elevator use got delayed at our new place and Ali was very kind in adjusting the cost a little, since it was out of our control. THANK YOU.

Everything from beginning to end was a seamless experience. Ali the owner is responsive and set expectations that were not only met but exceeded. Good communication throughout the entire experience. Tyler and Dominic were great and took care with our things and delivered our contents exactly how we sent them. This April has been the first follow up from NYP since the incident occurred in Sept 2018. The foreman and his team didn't offer for a contractor to come fix the damage nor did a representative from NYP call me after the incident to address the incident at hand. All communication was done via the foreman relaying messages to me that he stated came from the person on the phone, which didn't mention any compensation or offers to repair the damage. The foreman did haul away the box spring without charging me since there was no place to put it, being as though it wouldn't go upstairs

I've used NYP twice and they lived up to their billing. They gave me a call alerting me that they were about an hour away, then called again to let me know they were in the area. They were courteous and worked quickly. The price is very affordable. They give discounts to repeat customers. Also very important, none of the furniture was ever damaged in two moves. I would definitely use them again.

From the initial call to discuss details to the actual move, Name Your Price (NYP) Movers was incredibly helpful. After contacting NYP through Thumbtack, Ali and I spoke over the phone to discuss details of the 2 movers, 17' foot truck, 3 hour proposal. When I inquired about an extra fee for stairs, Ali suggested having 3 movers instead of 2, and they could still do it within the 3 hour timeframe, which sounded good to me. He then sent over a detailed confirmation proposal that outlined their services, licenses, etc. and I paid a $50 deposit to confirm the move date.

My experience with these movers was overall great. I found them on Thumbtack and after a few comparisons and a look at reviews, I went with them. They were very timely and informative of anything I needed to make my move go smoothly.
Halfway through loading my things into the truck I was informed that it wouldn't all fit. Scary! But after talking to the owner, Ali, I was able to work out and negotiate another deal for a pickup 4 days later.
The only problem I had was finding some scratches on my kitchen stove where they put a box and on a side of my bedroom furniture a couple weeks later

I couldn't have been more pleased with the way my move went...the crew led by "Stas" from Estonia was extremely careful with my things, packed efficiently, and kept everything moving. They made what should be a stressful day into a very smooth, calm day. I was comfortable with the way they were handling my things. They took my stuff down from my condo to a storage unit. We had a two-man crew come and help us move from a 2-BR townhouse to a 3-BR standalone house. They showed up right on time in uniform and a marked truck and Daniel went ahead and walked through the house with us to see what they would be moving. He offered advice on wrapping and protecting certain items, but was in no way pushy. He and his partner (whose name I unfortunately didn't get!) then went to work right away, loading items quickly and efficiently into the truck. There was even a point where the truck was nearly full and we thought we may have to leave a piece behind and get it
