Beware. Really bad customer service and poor ethics. Overpriced products. DO NOT RECOMMEND! They input the wrong order and delivered the wrong product. Tiler picked up order, as is customary. Happened to visit the job site to see and saw the wrong tile being installed. Thankfully, caught it in time. Called to let them know. 3 weeks of chasing them down, messages going to voicemail finally heard from the owner. Instead of simply recognizing they input the wrong item into the order, he took zero accountability. He spun it around, said I changed my mind, used the product and that it is my problem

Our pool contractor, Dream Pools, sent us to this store. What a treasure!! Talk about exceptional customer service!!! The staff person who is helping us is Lauren. She is such a delight! A pool project can be so overwhelming. It is quite an investment and you want to make sure you pick the right materials. We changed directions a couple of times and each time Lauren was so kind, patient, and helpful! She is even driving all the way to Clairemont (by Pasadena) to pick up our samples that were delayed and bring them back to Encinitas! We are so blown away by this level of customer service

Went in on a busy Saturday morning and greeted upon arriving. Lisa R was so helpful. She did what I expected (and what many other tile stores lack): she asked questions about our project and immediately gave us great options, based on her knowledge of their products and what would fit with our wishes and concerns for our kitchen remodel. I had a great experience working with them. They were very friendly and accommodating; especially with me booking several appointments. The tile came on time, I was promptly notified. It was easy to reach them. My contractor over estimated how much tile I needed and the girl I spoke with was sooo helpful- reaching out to the vendor to see if they would be coming by anytime soon so I could avoid the freight costs to return it. I bought porcelain tile for our beach condo that looks like wood and saved a lot.
They are also a good place to get grout plus water and sound proof subfloor coatings.
Everyone is very helpful and they will put you in contact with a truck driver with tailgate lift to deliver the tile.
A pallet is Very heavy.

What a great experience we had getting ideas and tile for our kitchen backsplash at SD Marble and Tile. AAAAA+++++!! Camille was fantastic, showing us around the first time we arrived and making good suggestions. Then, when we started ordering tiles, and found that our first choice for the project's centerpiece had been discontinued, she sprung to action, and was able to find a workable alternative for us. Whew-- what a relief!! That really helped us to keep going, and be hopeful that things actually would work out OK.

Love, love this store! I went to this store after a friend highly recommended. She was right: the choices are awesome, the people are nice, patient, and knowledgeable, and the prices are very good.
I walked into the store with samples of my kitchen countertops and cabinets. I was greeted right away by a friendly staff person. Explained what I was looking for. Browsed a bit, learned about material choices, played with samples of my countertop and cabinet. She recommended waiting for these to be installed, then coming back, narrowing it down, taking samples to see how they looked. Excellent advice

I seldom find a store that has such a great combination of talented
designers and back of the house warehouse folks that have extensive knowledge of cutting edge tile installation trends, along with tried and true methods we have used for years! They carry all of the rough materials we need all in one convenient location. The Tile, Stone, Glass and specialty tile selection has been enhanced by the newly remodeled and expanded showroom. It's pretty awesome.

Great selection. Showroom staff are friendly. Follow up on our selections was poor; I was ready to purchase but the staff did not follow up with us. I went with another vendor and actually saved 20% over their pricing. Do your due diligence. We prefer to purchase from our local busineses but they did not make any effort to earn our business.

They had lots of customers when I walked in but someone helped me almost immediately. They gave me good information during the selection process and when checking out, and emailed me as soon as my tile arrived. I found this store through a contractor friend of mine and have to say it's top notch when it comes to selection and service. The sales floor people are very helpful and accommodating. They helped me find tile to match an existing glass tile that was in my home. It was made by a company called Oceanside Glass Tile. I tried several other stored and San Diego Marble and Tile were the only ones that were able to help me out. Thanks again I will be using you again for my future re-model.

I want to thank Encinitas staff for their assistance in selecting my natural tile stone and recommending John Etchells for my fireplace project. John and his assistant did a fantastic job of listening to what I wanted, making it happen and staying on schedule. I have visited here for decades. The store has been really updated and there are definitely interesting things to see now. But the staff continues to exhibit some kind of restrained snarky intolerance. The prices here are terrible. If you want to pay them then they are nice enough, but if not you are underfoot. It takes a long time (years) after visiting to step foot in there again, and each time I come away with no desire to go back. (Yes I have purchased tile from them.
