Originally founded in 2015, The Move Crew is a locally owned and operated full service moving company based in the Twin Cities. With our offices in Minneapolis and Edina, we provide service to the entire Twin Cities Metro area. We bring our knowledge of moving together with a small business feel to give you a personalized customer experience, combined with a focus on quality moving and packing services.
Riku (pronounced "REE-KU") is originally from Finland. He has been fortunate to be able to study abroad and travel to many places, and in 2013 moved to the great state of Minnesota for the love of his life (lucky girl!). He started with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, but found his true calling in American entrepreneurship and creating value from ideas and hard work.
Since we are a full service moving company, you have the choice to let us take on the entire move so you don't have to lift a finger, have us handle only those big pieces you don't want to attempt to carry with your friends, or anything in between. During the estimate process, we will inform you if your move is considered to be a long haul and go over the change in billing structure with you.
We are proud to offer top rated packing and moving services to clients moving across state lines. Whether you're coming to join us in the great state of Minnesota or looking to escape the frigid winter weather by moving down south, we've got you covered from coast to coast. Our interstate moving services include dedicated trucks and crews for your move.
Our truck arrives to your load location, all items are packed, prepped, inventoried, and loaded onto our truck. Upon return to our secured NE Minneapolis warehouse, the truck will be offloaded and your items packed into vaults or rack storage. You may access your items while they are stored with us, please provide our office with 24 hours notice so that we can retrieve your vaults and make them accessible for your visit.

I've moved many times in my life, but I've always done it myself and had never paid for movers. I decided to use the Move Crew to help my move last month, and I couldn't have been more impressed on how quickly it went! Jeremy, Sam, and Jeremiah showed up right when they said they would, were careful and courteous when moving my belongings, and had everything moved over to my new place with all my larger furniture unwrapped in under three hours. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a quick and stress-free move.

I think it really depends on the crew you get here. The crew that moved us out of our home was pretty good, more like 4 stars; polite, careful with the furniture and good about wrapping anything heavy, expensive or particularly nice, fairly efficient. The crew that moved us into the new home was terrible, maybe 1 star; slow, lazy, didn't introduce themselves, left blanketed and wrapped items when they left the house, tried to take my barbecue into the kitchen, broke our master bed frame, left suitcases of clothes in the garage, dinged up quite a few pieces of wood furniture, white mattress was

I hired The Move Crew to move my mother from a 3rd story apartment (with no elevator) in Minneapolis to Des Moines. We had special requests like moving unwanted furniture to the curb for donation pick up and drop off at multiple locations. We couldn't be more pleased and would give 10 stars if we could. From the first call, on a Saturday, they were responsive and answered every question fully. The owner himself did the walk through with my mother. The crew was on time, professional, polite and took extreme care with our belongings. The price was great and they don't use contractors. Thank you Riku

Incredibly professional start to finish. We used The Move Crew for full service packing and moving. We had a phenomenal experience - everyone was on time, efficient, thorough, and handled our items and house with care. We had used another company for a prior cross-country move and found The Move Crew to be more thorough & yet somehow still got the job done faster, which was great! Any questions we had prior to the move and after were immediately answered. Prices were fair and our quote ended up being accurate. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to use again for future moves.

Very pleased of the service and moving team. We a did a long distance move from Mankato, Mn to Dallas, Tx and everything went without a hitch. You get what you pay for, is the saying, and for a bit more we expected things to go well, and it did. Definitely worth the peace of mind that everthing was going to go smoothly. Pete and his crew arrived and handled the load carefully and professionally and when they arrived in Dallas, everything was in tact. They were great at the unload and setting everything back up for us. Can't thank the guys enough for their care and professionalism. Very fortunate

The office staff seem top-notch and responsive, but the actual crew who performed the move were average at best. Crushed lamp, dirt smears on mattress (which was even bagged before they arrived, but they handled it that carelessly), a gouge in a hallway wall, many small scratches on things that should have been wrapped but were not. They pretty grossly overestimated the time it would take them to drive back to their location, in effect charging me as much as possible. I paid for haul-away disposal of two large items, and they instead dumped them downstairs (as in, never even put them in the

We were more than happy with The Move Ctew! Wow! They arrived on time, went to work and loaded the truck quickly and efficiently! The 4-man crew was friendly but completely conscientious about their work! A definite big shout out to Pete, Logan, Nick & Nick!! This was our first move in 35 years and we were very apprehensive but this fantastic crew made it so easy. We would highly recommend this company for your move. This is my first Yelp review ever. I'm writing it because I can't recommend the Move Crew more enthusiastically. Listen, I've been to great restaurants, I like my dry cleaner, our vet is great, but nothing has compelled me more than my experience with the Move Crew to write a review. I've moved way too many times, and experienced all the different kinds of professional movers you can hire, ranging from meh to horrible. Then we hired the Move Crew. I’m not going to go into too many details, but I’ll just say that they ‘lost’ a small box during the move. The box contained some valuable electronic items. When I called about it, they pretty much said that it was impossible that a box could be lost and hung up. I was shocked! What kind of customer service was that? But what could I do, it was my word against theirs. A couple weeks later I see on my iPad that someone is using one of the devices that was in the box! Even has a phone number attached to it! So I filed a police report and gave them the phone number to see if they could make

I hired the Move Crew based on the positive Google reviews and I was not disappointed! I asked for an out-of-state move (Minnesota to Wisconsin) on pretty short notice and they were able to help. The entire crew did a great job, especially the movers who did the trip to Wisconsin. Well worth the expense. Would 100% use again.

I was moving furniture from my parents home. They have passed and their home of 50 years has been sold.
The Move Crew called to let me know they'd be a little early, which was a plus. A coworker was late to work and my manager was texting.
They were friendly. We discussed the cousins moving their grandparents out of their home of 60 years.
They made me comfortable. It was like my sons and their friends moving me...except The Move Crew was professional, responsible, and ALL my belongings got to the destination.

Did a great job moving us to our new house, the whole experience was really smooth. Estimate was very competitive, and since the actual move came in under time, we actually paid less than expected. The crew was very friendly, worked hard, did a good job packing everything, and did a good job respecting safety by wearing masks. All in all, a very positive experience, especially when moving during COVID times.

We absolutely loved our experience with The Move Crew for our move from our old North Loop apartment to our new house in St Louis Park! These guys were on time, professional, communicative, took great care of our belongings, clean, and worked hard/efficiently. While the move took longer than the quote due to some logistical roadblocks with our apartment building (at no fault of The Move Crew), their pricing is straightforward and better than almost all of the other 5-6 moving companies I called. During the move into our new home, one of the guys let me know that they nicked the wall near the staircase

The Move Crew helped us with a long distance move from Minneapolis to DC. We had a great experience. Gunnar, who did the in home evaluation, answered all of our questions and gave an accurate estimate. The movers kept to the proposed schedule, were prompt, kept me in the loop with timing, and packed and unloaded quickly and thoughtfully. All members of the crew (shout out to John and Tim on the DC end) were friendly and professional. They also helped with packing our kitchen and our more fragile items and so far we have not seen any damage when unpacking! They made what could have been a stressful

Chris and Pete were absolutely amazing! Moving day always tends to be stressful and with the help of the two them, it was anything but stressful. I would HIGHLY recommend the move crew. Pros-got back to me quickly with an estimate; good communication from the office and the crew on moving day; crew was on time and worked quickly; fun guys, pleasant and did their best to make it an easy experience for me; they were extremely courteous and pleasant to folks at the drop esp. considering they had to park and unload in a less-than-ideal place.
Cons-forgot to move an area rug (and I didn't notice and I ended up forfeiting it since I couldn't move it
