I needed to move my storage unit to my new condo and NOVA Express Movers made the process simple and easy. They were able to get me next day service and were very communicative. Both the office staff and movers were in contact with me via text/calls for coordination. Marcus and Will were truly amazing. These guys were real pros and made the process seamless. They took great care of stuff I just assumed they would toss in the the truck. Wrapping up anything that could be scratched or damaged. This is the third time I have used NOVA Express Movers for my moving needs and once again, they knocked it out of the park. The crew, Robert, Robert B, John, and Jesus were amazing. They helped move my mom out of her house, which was not an easy task as they had to navigate getting large furniture out of her small house. Update: after 3 months the owner reached out to me directly to understand the problem and provide a resolution. The owner had cited system issues which had prevented them from seeing my claim/issue. Furthermore, he had assurances that his moving team is aware of this problem so that future customers may not have to go through what I did.

I am still laughing. I paid these morons 2500 bucks to move my little three bedroom townhome, to a 7000 sq foot home, and they did not do it all. I had to get a moving truck today to finish. These morons also do not take my calls anymore. I am going to get them added to the Maryland and VA military black lists, file MD dept of labor complaints, and rip these morons in every way possible to not do this to other people. We had a wonderful experience with Rob, John, and Raphael. They were hard working, kind and funny, and very careful. You can tell these guys are professionals at this! They called on loading day to give their estimated arrival time and were right on time. Then on delivery day they called to say they were on their way to our new destination, and again when they were 30 minutes out. I found myself in need of moving out of storage with little notice. I called several providers who were booked. NOVA Express had a cancellation. I took a chance and am so glad I did. The crew that showed up took great care in getting me out of storage and setup in my new apt. Wish I had used them when i moved into storage but hey it ended well. They supported me and it was greatly appreciated.

We used this company for our last move a few months ago during the middle of the whole world situation. This would be our first time hiring a moving company instead of asking our friends to help. We got quoted for 4 hours I believe moving a 1 bedroom (it was a 2 bedroom place but only moving one of the bedrooms with the rest of the place to another 2 bedroom apt). We had two Movers that did arrive on time. Now I'm not totally sure what I was supposed to expect but they were kind of slow and I'm not sure very efficient? I felt like maybe a 3rd person would've been better to have.

This is the second time that I've used NOVA Express Movers and as with my first move, the service exceeded my expectations. I was particularly impressed with the accuracy of the estimate and the speed with which my move was scheduled. Worst movers I've ever used.
The time window of arrival was 9-10AM, though we were told despite the confirmation email received, the actual arrival time was 10:30AM. Either way, they showed up at 10:40 AM, which is still late.
Movers were slow. You'd think this would equate to careful packaging of items, however almost every major furniture item was damaged one way or another (see pics).
We attempted to resolve with customer service, but despite being elevated to a supervisor, we did not hear back despite multiple follow ups after more than a week. Best decision we made was to pay

1. They arrived late. We were the first window of the day and they still arrived late.
2. There was a fresh smell of weed from the truck. Sure it is legal but doesn't exactly give you confident your stuff will be moved safely.
3. Movers took a really long time to do everything, which would be okay except see below.
4. Stopped to eat a sandwich, but didn't stop the clock.

My wife and I recently bought a new home and the closing was scheduled a bit later than we had planned, meaning we had to move out of our apartment very quickly. Nova was able to schedule us for literally the next day at a competitive price. The crew was exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive. I'd definitely hire them again for moves in the DC area.

I had a great experience with Nova Express movers. The company was very responsive when setting up the move. On move day they arrived within the time window and the movers were efficient and fast and even helped us move around a few things that we already had at the new house. My one tiny issue is that the company only takes cash without a service charge (3.8% charge to use a credit or debit card).

Tyrone and the whole crew were great (sorry, guys - only remembered Tyrone by name, but you were all awesome!); they were careful, professional, and even wrapped up under the expected time. Very shady & inconsistent quotes from Anne D. First, this was probably opps, she quoted me for $129/hr.
Then, it was $179hr/ for 3 guys.
Then, Anne D. changed it a third time, to $676. "Your total for the first 3 hours with 3 men will be $676.00. We have 3 hour minimum." per Anne D.
Man, stay away from these turkeys!

This company broke the glass to my table and told me that they would replace it within two weeks. It has been 7 weeks and they do not respond to my emails or voicemails. When I do get someone to answer the phone, they are not able to help and say that they will get back to me...but never do. The movers also damaged several other pieces of furniture… but did not tell me about it. I found the damage the next morning. I do not recommend using this company. I was quoted to have Nova Express Movers come move a small studio apartment's worth of things about 10 miles to my new place. they were supposed to be at my place between 9am to 10am and it is currently 12:07pm and NOTHING. No movers, no call from the company and I can't get in contact with anyone. We had a simpler move of some dining room furniture (heavy) from Centreville to Leesburg, so maybe they could be more relaxed, not as attentive....NOT SO. William and Rashad were excellent. Took such care with the pieces that had to be moved...at both ends of the journey. Pleasant, professional, etc.

I can't recommend Nova Express Movers any higher! They were consistent he entire move and made sure to wrap all my valuables with precision and consideration. The owner was professional and courteous to us, which was the determining factor for why we used them in the first place. Thanks again for the quality service!
