I needed a door to cover an alcove in my office. I didn't want a boring closet door, and had fallen in love with barn doors from seeing them on HGTV build shows. The only problem was that I couldn't find a pre-fab one that fit my unique alcove size.
A friend recommended The Mod Barn, and the minute I walked in their front door, I was extremely well taken care of. From start to finish, their customer service was amazing. Multiple missed deadlines with no communication. Projects can be late, but blowing off the dates is not acceptable.
Hired them for two projects, delivery date was supposed to be May 25 and June 6. Constantly following up w them. June 18, the bed installers finally came for the first project, turns out they are missing a part, got some convoluted excuse. Hoping they come back. As far as the actual product, what I see so far seems okay, but definitely not worth the hassle.

This review is based on their work from September 2018 to March 2019 and my detailed dispute letter sent to our credit card company.
We contracted with them to build a custom wall bed, storage unit and desk. Ryan was very responsive during the planning stages, but during the actual construction he missed multiple appointments and dragged out the work. We had a storage unit built above the wall unit. We told Ryan we wanted to use our own handles which were thicker than what Mod Barn normally uses. He must have forgotten because the hinges on the shelf lift door did not support the weight of the

We decided to replace our master closet door and are very happy with the final product (see pictures). Wendy is super communicative, which made the process all that much more smooth. She also took into consideration any concerns I had and addressed them promptly and thoughtfully. We called Mod Barn asking for design ideas for the wall along side of our fridge and the cabinet space above the fridge. The owner Ryan carved some time out of his busy schedule on Sunday morning to come to our house to review the space and take measurements. He presented 2 great ideas. We and our realtor chose a vertical 1x8 white washed worn Douglas fir . They came out and installed it. We could not be more happy. Everyone touring our house to purchase it loves the look. We met with Ryan to discuss ideas for a fireplace mantel. We were very pleased with his suggestion to produce a hollow frame out of reclaimed wood for mounting onto our uneven brick wall. After a fair amount of time to have the piece put together, stained, and oiled, the mantel was nicely installed yesterday and will be enjoyed for years to come.

I was searching online for a place to do a custom barn door with mirrors on both sides for our new walk-in closet. They were super responsive when I contacted them, were able to give a quote based on dimensions, build-out timeline and delivery options. We hired Ryan to design and build a barn door. The door is beautiful but the installation and customer service were aweful. For the initial installation they were 2 hours late after saying they were on their way, they had to borrow a tool from us to do the install and they forgot pieces of bracket hardware so used exposed screws instead. They also left drill holes where they had missed the studs in the wall and did not fill them. The same crew was sent back the second time to fix the install mistakes even though we had asked that the same crew not be sent back. They fixed the issues and added a

I haven't bought anything from this place...yet. Just went to check it out. The furniture and wood work is beautiful. Ryan, the gentleman that was there that day was super helpful, and drew up estimates and sketches of what I was looking for while I waited. They make everything custom to what you are looking for. We went to The Mod Barn to look at some Sliding interior Doors. The Staff were very helpful and the shop was amazing. We liked the displays and the showroom settings. The Doors came in perfect and really set off our home right! I really like how the Slider Doors update our home and give it the perfect Custom Country look we need.
