I'm giving two stars because at least Merlin replied to my Yelp inquiry and came out to get info for a quote, which is more than I can say for many, many other contractors I reached out to from Yelp and Angi. But although he came out and seems nice, Merlin never bothered to follow up or provide a quote. That has also happened with several contractors (with high ratings) who came out and then never bothered to follow up.
Dint get how it makes sense to waste your time to come out and then never follow through. Guess they are all busy enough.

I can't believe the beautiful new fence I have that Merlin and his team built in less than a day. My old "fence" was really just chicken wire. It's been falling apart ever since I moved in. I was also always afraid my cat would get behind the fence. The other side was just old and looked awful. I've attached some before and after photos. I talked w Merlin about how I didn't want the back fence to be super high because I love the open feeling in the back and seeing all the birds and squirrels. He was just amazing to work with. I'm getting it stained next week,

Merlin and his team are awesome! We used Landmark to build a wooden deck in our backyard and we couldn't be happier! Merlin came out twice to provide quotes and worked with me to get approval from our HOA. His team was prompt and incredibly fast, finishing the deck in only a day and a half. They even added a step that we requested last minute, no problem. If you're looking for quality, professionalism, and reliability, I definitely recommend Landmark!

Merlin and his crew did a fantastic job of giving my backyard a complete makeover. They removed the old chain link and rotted wood fence and replaced it with a beautiful horizontal red cedar fence. I had received quotes from a few different companies to replace our fence line and Landmark had the best price by far. Upon getting quotes he was second lowest of five but the owner was the one who came by to quote it and he was very helpful and honest.
There were (2) minor confusions in what was being done and he fixed both issues immediately! He was also able to come considerably earlier then he initially told me. He was also onsite during the work to make sure things went smooth.
I would recommend these guys for any fencing or decking needs!

Merlin and his team SAVED THE DAY! I got about 6 or 7 quotes for my deck back in April. Landmark Fence was one of them. Unfortunately, I ended up going with a different contractor who quickly proved he didn't know what he was doing. After I decided to end that relationship, I immediately called Landmark and one other company back who had given me quotes previously. The other company couldn't find the time to get someone to come out for a re-estimate and then did not return my calls.

Had a really great experience with Landmark. Of the four estimates I requested Merlin was the only one that wanted to come out and see the site in person. He came out the next day and had a very reasonable quote ready that night. His crew came out the following Monday and removed the old chain link and completed the bull panel fencing in 3 days. I was very happy with the work, all of the details we discussed were done exactly as promised and the fence turned out better than I even dreamed. The Landmark crew was respectful of our space and did an excellent clean up. I can honestly say this was one

I've now had Landmark do a couple of jobs for me and they've both came out great. One was a smaller job replacing a fence post and the other was much bigger putting up a brand new fence along our back yard. Merlin gave us a super reasonable price and was very accommodating throughout the entire process. His team completed the job surprisingly fast, which was very helpful because we have dogs that need access to the yard. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a fence repair/replacement.

Landmark built our friend's fence and I've always admired how solid and attractive it is. Unlike ours, their gates still close perfectly (ours never did).
I asked Merlin to come by and have a look at our unusable gates. Instead of charging me, he did the (overwhelmingly!) honest thing and told me, in detail, *exactly* what I needed to do to fix it myself.
These days just getting someone to answer the phone or (gasp!) to actually show up in Austin is miraculous. Merlin was responsive, pleasant, honest, and extremely helpful

I researched many companies in Austin to find the best option to install a cedar deck on the back of my house. I was successful in finding the best option with Merlin and Landmark Fence & Deck. Not only was the pricing reasonable, but the communication, quality of workmanship and follow through throughout the whole process was incredible. I have a beautiful new fence! Thanks to Merlin and his company. My husband and I had been hesitant to replace our fence for the longest time, being unsure of the process, cost and how long it would take. We reached out to 3 different companies and Merlin was the quickest to respond with updated quotes based on what we needed and wanted to add.
