I can’t speak to the quality of the homes yet as I’m only on the list for a future build. But when I went there to look at the models and talk about options I dealt with a guy named Logan Lima. Logan was extremely professional and knowledgeable about all of my options. He was very patient with my questions and always had a great, positive attitude! These little things are what makes building a house enjoyable and not so stressful! If you want to speak with a guy who is truly there for your best interest and cares about you, ask for Logan!

Provides fairly decent communication during build process.
Lots of delays in the build with no compensation; Weakest part of communication was in delays and ETA on end of build.
Lots of customization options, but very nickel-and-dime for them.
VERY small garage and driveway. 18' is NOT an adequate "2 car garage". It's a one-car with space for an air compressor and bench. Doesn't seem to offer any option for larger without a $10k price hike.
Won't level out heavy embankments on the property, so prepare for steep gravel that you will slide down as you get out of your car on your narrow driveway

Buying process was great, but once you move in good luck getting any type of customer service. You are promised at closing that any issues annotated before closing with the house will be fixed within 2 weeks,… that is a joke. 48 hour turn around with the warranty department is a joke. Oh and the 4th day in my new home, my garage door fell off, this was only one of multiple issues with the house (many of which I am still waiting on resolution for). Once I finally did get my cracked kitchen cabinets repaired here are some pictures of the repair job I was left with…

I have always had a great experience with Challenger Homes, both as a licensed Realtor and as a personal buyer of 2 homes. On my most recent personal purchase I had the pleasure to “work” with Alexis Smith. She made the entire process easy as can be! There were constant updates via different form of communication and made sure I understood the entire process (even though she knew I did this for a living as well). She still treated my home buying journey as though I was a first time home buyer. (Which I really appreciated) all while never sounding scripted or mechanical…Working with people

Positive: Professionalism
Couldn’t of been happier with my building process with Challenger Homes. Alexis out at Branding Iron was terrific throughout the entire process. She kept me in the loop weekly and had answers to all my questions. Even after we moved in, she’s still keeping in touch making sure everything is perfect for us. Just amazing!

Challenger and specifically our rep Alexis we’re fantastic! My wife and I recently had Challenger build us a home and Alexis was prompt and responsive throughout the entire process! She is professional, caring, and knowledgeable! I can’t recommend her and her expertise enough. Three days before we were slated to close and move in, my wife went into labor (2 weeks early) and Alexis helped us navigate how closing would look and amended the contract so my wife wouldn’t need to sign since she was in the hospital. Alexis is truly a gem!

We have had THE BEST experience with Challenger Homes!! Chanler was our selling agent and she was absolutely amazing! Knowing there were shortages and delays, she always set realistic expectations and didn't give us false hope! Luke was the superintendent and he was also amazing! He really has an eye for detail and he made sure the house was ready to go for us to close! There is so much stress that goes along with buying a home, but Challenger really minimized that stress for us! We would ABSOLUTELY do business with them again, or refer others to them!

We have been in our Challenger home for 3 years now and have had multiple issues. Bricks falling off the front of the house all the time..... vents that allow snow to pile up in the attic and then melt and it comes through the living room ceiling, 2 leaking windows that were installed improperly and we are just hoping hasn't caused more damage as we try to get this issue resolved, pits and holes showing up all the time in the driveway, electrical problems and the list goes on. We have never had so many issues in a new house ever and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Customer service

Superintendent Luke was extremely helpful and earned the respect of myself and my father in a very short period of time. My dad has been in the plumbing trade for more than 40 years and an inspector for 20 years. Luke demonstrated his professionalism and knowledge and was extremely open to listen to things that needed to be corrected. Not only did… he hear what was said, but he took thorough notes and followed up. The service he provides cannot go unrecognized. His role doesn’t necessarily require the incredible face-to-face customer respect like what is expected of a sales representative

The buying experience was amazing. As soon as we closed they have fallen beyond short. They never call back or I’d they do they start repairs and then leave you hanging. I have a hole in my drywall in the basement, it’s been almost a year and it’s still not fixed. They attempted to fix my siding, left larger gaps then painted it the wrong color.… Then they dropped off wood to repair and just vanished. They left in my front yard then I started getting harassment letters from my HOA and almost got fined. I had to tend to it myself. So I am still waiting for a call back and

We are currently buying a home from them.
For the exterior of the house they give you color schemes to pick from. It’s has to be one of them. They are very limited, and not that great.
When you get to the design studio, you get you choice of limited bulk products.
I asked for the to just setup hookup for appliances, instead of paying for… cheap bulk products to be placed in the home. They said no.
In all honesty while I would have loved to do some of the upgrades, our house was already reaching almost $400,000. While it will be cute, and livable, it’s just a shadow of the dream

They do not respond to warranty requests and will drag them out for MONTHS. It took over 5 months to get our brand new cabinets repaired and now my porch is falling off my house due to poor compaction. I see at least 12 other porches in the Mountain Vistas neighborhood doing the same unfortunately. Challenger builds a nice looking house, its all the problems they cover up during construction that will give you problems down the road. Save yourself the trouble and buy from a different builder. We wish we would have done the same.

We worked with David for our new build in Ventana. He went above and beyond during the entire process from start to close and we couldn’t be more thrilled. He was informative, helpful, quick to respond and always solved any issues or problems we brought up. The customer service experience with David exceeded expectations and was one of the best service experiences we have had. We also had a great experience with all of the challenger work crew including the super Scott.

Recently in the market for a new home and had the best experience I have ever gone through. The sales team really new all the details to any questions I had for them and followed up on some of the more difficult things we had had challenges with in the past from our current home. Home buying is one of the most stressful things I have experienced in the past when I first moved to Colorado and wish it was this easy the first time. I hope that anyone in the market for a new home will consider Challenger Homes for their new neighborhood.

The house we bought is beautiful and for the neighborhood is nice. We had an issue with a leak when we first moved in and it was corrected immediately. The only complaint I have is that there seems to be near constant "landscaping" going on. It's getting old having the construction trucks in the way and the workers yelling at the crack of dawn (I work nights so it is a problem for my sleep).

DO NOT BUY FROM CHALLENGER!!!! I WOULD RATE ZERO STARS but didn't have that option! Just purchased our home 1 month ago and my roof is already damaged! I've tried to call warranty, main office, area managers and corp offices and NO ONE ANSWERED THEIR PHONES OR EMAILS to rectify our issues. We currently own other homes which were new builds and NEVER had such a HORRIBLE experience purchasing a home. They lack pride in quality workmanship and work ethic! If they took pride in their work, ensured each home is well built suitable for their own family...you will never have issues with customers

Be wary of this company, the sales manager has a major disconnect from espoused company values. We went into contract to purchase 19834 Lindenmere Dr, Monument CO for just over 543k, we had a sales contingency on our home in CA, and when the market stalled in CA, I was concerned that the contracted sales price was too high, and Challenger agreed to give us an appraisal contingency to keep us engaged. We went out and got a full appraisal by a licensed appraiser, and it came in at $532,000, our contracted price was more than $11,000 over appraised value.

Challenger did not believe the appraisal

We recently bought a challenger home and I have to say we are totally and completely satisfied. It's been a wonderful experience with the great service that we got from Allison in the beginning all the way through the Building process with Woody and then the warranty follow up with Greg. This company does great work, they are reasonably priced and best of all, they care for people. We love how they follow up, and they do what they say. This is a great experience we highly recommend them to anyone considering a new home. We had a lot of options and there's a lot of choices when deciding

When I walked into a Challenger Homes model, I was met by the sales manager, Mike. I told him that we had a specific timeframe we had to move in due to the difficult rental situation we were in. Mike was very compassionate toward our situation and he immediately gave us some options on how to get into a home when we needed to. Mike promised that we'd get our new home in June and that's exactly what happened. He told us the truth during the entire building process. Once the construction of the home got underway, the area manager, Doug, was very helpful and he throughly explained the process

After reading some of the other reviews on Challenger, I see that were not the only family that has major issues with this company. we recently bought a home in September 2014. needless to say we spent a lot of money, and to be honest with the amount of money we just spent I am in shock at the quality of work, craftsmanship, and product that we just bought! Terrible! we have nothing but issue since the build started, with the home, the property and some of the employees, and contractors. I used to help build homes and I know what right looks like, some of these people actually tried to lie

Our home was completed in August 2013. Within one month several things started to go wrong with the home. We began trying to schedule to have all the warranty issues "looked" at and we were immediately told that he will take as many notes as possible but he doesn't make the decision what could be fixed. Three appointments later for "further evaluation" things began to look up. One thing fixed. The pipes. The paint, the garage and many other things had been on hold till things could be fixed. We're now in November and things aren't fixed and I'm frustrated
