Elite Tree Service has been caring for the trees of the East Bay and Tri-Valley for over 50 years now. We love what we do and take pride in the care of trees. With every job we look at first what our customers want and then what is best for the tree and figure out what will work best for the situation.
There is no job too big or too small, we serve residential and commercial and with every job we strive for excellence. Below is just a brief discription of the different services we offer:. There are several pruning approaches when we meet for the estimate we'll take a look at which one will be best for you.
Always 100% local, raw and organic wood. Other "recycled" mulch is made from wood that comes from recycling plants which includes plywood, pressure treated woods, old pallets etc. it also means it has glues and chemicals all through it. EliteMulch is a premium grade mulch that only consists of local wood from the tree jobs that we have done in your neighborhoods.

A huge, very heavy branch broke off our Monterey Pine Tree on a hillside overlooking a neighbors house, so I did not want to trust this job to just anyone. Matt came out and gave us information about the history of the tree and the best way to preserve it. He is definitely on top of the latest methods to maintain trees. The crew worked well together and did a very professional job of communicating with us, completing the job well as promised and cleaning up afterwards with minimal disruption.

I want to give praise and honor to Matt, the owner who took over this father's duties, for staying calm and negotiating a difficult dispute with my neighbor who tree's branches grew into my property. Matt was careful, efficient, and reasonably priced. More important, Matt treated me like family and explained the job to completion. Matti is also a licensed arborist and knows more than most arborist. Highly Recommend!!!

Great service and my new "go to" tree service company! They came out and trimmed /thinned 5 trees on my property including a Grandiflora Magnolia. The office staff was prompt in communication; Matt and the crew was super friendly, knowledgable, efficient, took great care of my property, and did a great job! Highly recommend!

Once again, thank you, Matt, for providing excellent guidance and personalized service. I appreciate that you weigh the pros and cons of different approaches to tree issues. The trees you pruned last year (after going 5 years without pruning) have filled in beautifully, and while I hated to see the plum tree go, you removed it quickly and completely, cleaned everything up, and bid a good price. We've used Elite Tree Service for a few years now. Our landscaping service had made all of our trees looking like big round bushes. Matt and his crew came in and trimmed the olive , the magnolia, and the feijoa trees so that they were beautiful and graceful. My neighbors compliment my trees!
And once they are done with the work, they leave the yard cleaner then when they arrived!
Matt takes the time to listen to your landscaping issues and suggests solutions. My hedge was dying off and he provided advice on what would work in our very shady backyard.

Matt came out to give us a quote. We had a great initial experience. Since then, we've been trying to schedule a time for the work to be done and have received no responses to our voicemails and emails. Once Karla did call back to say she'd get back to me later in the week, but then we never heard back. It shouldn't be this hard to schedule the work and to get a response.

I do not know what is going on with this company. I think Ed is the most wonderful man and he took care of my trees for over 30 years. I think his son has taken over. Whoever is running the front office does not answer the phone, return calls, or respond to emails. I finally gave up and went with another service who were licensed, insured, much less expensive, answered their phone, left the yard immaculate and the trees beautifully sculpted. This is the saddest review I have ever written.

I don't know what is going on but I've been waiting 3 weeks to get an appointment to have 3 trees trimmed on a house I'm trying to get ready to sell. Elite Tree Services has done lots of work for me and I wouldn't call another company and don't need an estimate I trust them completely . The realtor I'm working with even called and no reply.?????

Just had an outstanding experience using Elite. We had a 60+ foot tall tree removed (fortunately before it fell over). It couldn't have gone better. Matt came out and provided lots of information about the tree as he gathered information to prepare a quote. He also explained the tree removal permit process. The man knows his trees! He and the office staff at Elite were responsive and very professional. Their quote was the best from the ones we received. They came exactly when promised and were very careful to protect our plants and landscape. Like I said - couldn't have gone any better

I strongly recommend Elite. They had the lowest quote of two firms. Matt came out and explained everything. Gave me a couple of options and pros and cons.
The other firm did the same but was significantly higher.
The crew were professional and made quick work of two large pines that were dead and near dead plus a smaller pine.
They cleaned up after and chipped the smaller branches and cut up and removed the large pieces to their lot.
I will definitely call them again for future pruning.

My first review was for the promptness and thoroughness of the bid. I've now had three street trees trimmed (beautifully), an acacia pruned per my request, and two cypresses taken out. Matt's bid was competitive, the workers were on time and courteous, and they worked fast. Matt asked if I could wait a week to have the stumps removed as they're very busy, and I said yes. To my surprise, the stumps were removed later that day. Apparently they finished a job earlier than planned and headed over. I can't say enough good things about this company. I'll be contacting them again

If he could take a look in my back yard & give me an estimate on trimming a mature curly willow & bottle brush tree. He was very pleasant & was willing to pop over. Matt was professional & knowledgeable giving us his professional opinion which I really appreciate. He had extra time after finishing my neighbor's trees & offered to do our trees. Reached out on Yelp via Request a Quote (RAQ). Sarah returned my call within a few hours and Sean was able to come out the same day for an estimate.
Every interaction was super professional and straight forward. Ultimately went with another vendor because of availability and price.

Great service! Matt and his crew arrived on time and trimmed a few trees that were leaning and close to my home. They cleaned up after they were done and provided access for my neighbors during the whole process.

Last month, I had Elite cut one rogue tree in my garden and prune 2 other trees that needed help. Matt is the person who came to give me an estimate: on time, very professional, knowledgeable, reasonable price. His team came on a rainy day (just my luck, when it hardly ever rains around here!) and cut/disposed of the rogue tree so neatly I would not even have known they had come by, if not for the evidence of the stump. St. Patricks Day, March 17th, the anniversary date of when Elite Tree Service, Ed Jenson, trespassed onto my property without my knowledge or permission, hired by my backyard neighbors, and climbed over my fence and up into my 100 year old giant sequoia, and chain sawed 28 living branches leaving my tree disfigured forever with ugly stumps at the fence line. The sad thing is that this species can never grow back its branches. Three people yelled at him & begged him to stop; but he kept cutting. Got several estimates from different companies and decided to go with Elite. Elite had the best price and seemed to be the most knowledgeable. I had large Redwood removed and also had the stump grinded out.
Elite arrived on time and completed the work with perfection. I'm very satisfied with Elite's performance and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for some tree services.
