The late Bruce Renhard first started "Renhard Heating and Appliance" in 1958. He ran the business while working at Crown Zellerbach (a paper mill in West Linn). As soon as they turned twelve, he began teaching his three sons everything he knew about the trade. Our gas furnace stopped blowing heat in the middle of this December cold/snow spell right after Christmas. I didn't know who to use so picked the first place that returned my call. Renhard managed to schedule us the next day (we had space heaters to get us through 24 hours). Loren quickly knew what was wrong from our description, did a temporary fix that would get the heater working to hold us over while he ordered the part, and will come back to complete the job when the part comes in. All for about $150. Really nice guy who knows what he's doing and showed/explained to my brother exactly

It's so difficult these days to find a company for any household services that you can trust to be honest and to follow through until the job is done. We are so very pleased with everything Renhard Heating and Cooling supplied to us - they installed a new heat pump which and had some unexpected challenges because our old system had not been wired correctly. They were professional, on time and worked diligently until they were satisfied that all was working correctly. We highly recommend them - they were really, really fabulous!

So immediately, I had some good vibes because I asked a lot of questions and Loren was happy to answer patiently. I was lucky enough to get the team scheduled in before the summer heat waves to fix my AC.
At first, I was skeptical, because they advised me to put in a smaller unit. But, my internet research doesn't equal years of expertise; and that's what you'll get if you go with these folks.
The team arrived on time and did the job in the time they said they would -- all while I was pestering them with questions.
