I was looking for a desk for Alan, as the one he bought online is too small and others he's seen and liked haven't been available due to supply chain issues. I had been unaware of this store, which I found via a Yelp search, and came here first because it was closest. It's located in the small strip mall next to R. Kassman Pianos. This store used to be wholesale only until the pandemic, so the "storefront" is really more of a warehouse, but don't let the appearance lead you astray.
David knows what he has and can help you find what you need right away. I walked in looking for a home office chair, and left 15 minutes later already in love with my new chair.

I needed a good office chair for working from home and they offer a really good deal. They are a hidden gem in Berkeley and their customer service is excellent. I had a bunch of questions about chair quality and maintenance and they were able to give me an answer to everything. Some online stores and websites had similar deals on chairs but I really loved being able to see the chairs in person and try them out myself, which you can't really do when online shopping. I also loved being able to walk in with nothing and walk out with a chair 20 minutes later and not have to worry about delivery fees

You should keep in mind that the vendor does not accept refund even after one day, even though the product was flawless. This is hard to understand since you might find something you don't like when you bring it to your office. The chairs don't seem to be cleanly managed so I had to clean with wipes and cleaners after bringing it to my office. I won't go again for sure if I have a chance to buy another chair in the future.

I had a surprisingly positive experience here and went home with a very comfortable chair today! I got a very professional, friendly, and informative explanation of multiple chairs I was interested in. The vibe was very easy-going and I didn't feel pressured into a purchase. I surprisingly had such a wonderful and positive experience here. I was looking for a chair to help maintain a good posture, and not slouch while typing. David was very thorough in giving me information on how to sit properly in a chair, and was honest about each brand of chair. Really great experience! The staff are friendly, social, and know a lot about what makes a good ergonomic chair, not just a gimmicky one. You can try a lot of options for style of chair at a range of prices while you're in the store. I'm incredibly happy with my chair and desk.
The only negative worth mentioning was it took a couple extra days for my desk to be delivered.
If you make an appointment, make sure you brush up on your riddles :)

- Mask is required to get in the store. Everybody is wearing mask and makes me feel safe.
- MANY SELECTIONS OF CHAIRS. The first thing you see entering the store are CHAIRS. You are free to try and play with whichever you like.
- David is an awesome guy. He knows all the chairs he's selling, and their correct positioning and adjustment. He tries to make everyone happy and find the right chair. Especially for some ergonomic chairs, without his demo I totally don't know how they work.

David made my experience at Berkeley Office Interiors a great one! I walked in, not knowing what to expect. David helped to find me an office chair that has saved my back in COVID work-from-home times. He described how to adjust the seat, how to actually sit in it without developing back pain, and all with a smile and bubbly attitude underneath his mask. He never tried to oversell me (gear me towards a more expensive, less functional chair) and on top of that he helped to wrap the chair and safely secure it in my vehicle.

Everyone on staff was super friendly and accommodating! Also super knowledgeable about ergonomics. They have bargain prices on different office furniture (I picked up 2 Haworth chairs and 1 electric adjustable height standing desk).
