Mid Century Mobler

What a revelation this store is! We ducked in a month ago for a secretary desk, and have since purchased a chair and a loveseat for our living room. We will be back whenever we need furniture of any kind. Each piece is a riveting anchor on its own--eye-catching, timeless, and gorgeous. The refinishing and attention to detail synced the pieces with each other, and with our home. We got jaw-dropping furniture at reasonable prices, and we didn't create new stuff in the world by buying it. Win win.

I purchased a set of rosewood nesting tables online from Julian, the shipper or the packer damaged two of the tables, after seeing a photo of the package, and damage - Julian took them back no problem. He also discounted a replacement table for my trouble. I live in Tahoe and drove down to Berkeley to return the tables and pick up a replacement (even more beautiful piece). His warehouse is amazing. I had to leave asap, for fear I would bankrupt my family. I'd definitely shop there again to the detriment of my children's educations.

Our fourth purchase from Mid Century Mobler was just delivered and we couldn't be more thrilled: Desiree and Julian have passion and extremely good taste in sourcing amazing pieces. Their restoration team has just the right respectful touch and the personal service and delivery experience couldn't be bettered - so refreshing in these times...and we enjoy giving a second cycle to the well-crafted and designed furniture. Oh what beautiful furniture they have. Makes you want to be rich. I bought a table and everything was so well handled. They gave a 6 week timeframe to have it refurbished- and they were right on schedule. The table is beautiful. Everything was well done from helping me make a selection to the pickup. Excellent communication and always happy to give me more details as my pickup team had questions. Wish I could buy more!

This is the best place to buy furniture in the Bay Area. We discovered Mid Century Mobler about a year ago, and have since furnished a large majority of our home with their pieces.

Most of what they sell is imported from Europe and have incredibly high quality craftsmanship you just don't find with most modern pieces. Julian and Desiree have taught us so much about collecting Mid Century pieces and they are lovely to work with. A great place to find special statement furniture!

Purchased a pair of rosewood Kai Kristiansen dining chairs in a jam and Julian was more than kind to break them off a complete set which is rare for dealers to do. He was so responsive, professional and easy to work with. He's always run a very reputable and outstanding business and his customer service is spot on. Highly recommend his shop!

I purchased a beautiful danish dresser from Mid Century Mobler, which is easily the nicest piece of furniture that I've ever owned. My husband and I were so excited to find Mid Century Mobler a few years ago. There is such a large selection of well made mid century, mostly Danish furniture. They offer full restoration and upholstery services - and the work is excellent. We have many pieces and stop in frequently because their inventory is always changing. Here is my latest, a fully restored chair and nesting tables by Erling Torvits the foot rest was refinished to match. Love it!

Tremendous collection of mid century pieces. Furniture, lighting, decorative items. I found a copper and ceramic light fixture perfectly installed in my master bath... unique and unexpected. Love Mobler's vast selection and how well it is all displayed. This is a go to for collectors when in the Bay Area!

I bought an exceptional set of ladder back dining chairs from Mid Century Møbler. The chairs were immaculately restored and reupholstered, and they were delivered with great care. Highly recommended!

This store is a gem. I was looking for a console/dresser and they have a large selection of of beautiful pieces. I ended up buying and English Modern console/dresser. It needed refinishing and they did a gorgeous job of bringing the piece to life. I could not be more pleased with it. Julian is very knowledgeable! Customer service is excellent and delivery was seamless.

A great place for vintage and contemporary finds. A bit pricey at times, but lovely design choices. They honored a price match for a new piece I found online, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend for finding unique furnishings and home accessories!

Love this store and just browsing through their huge stocks of wonderful furniture. We just purchased four Kai Kristiansen Model 42 dining chairs and two Ole Wanscher Senator lounge chairs. The chairs were all just delivered and they look wonderful and beautifully restored and finished. Top class!

We have purchased several pieces from Julian and Desiree over the last few months for our dining room.

The quality of their assortment is, in our experience, unparalleled, but they match it with their clear expertise in their domain and above & beyond customer service.

In addition to the bar and credenza we purchased, they also helped us coordinate 2 glass tops to protect our pieces for the long term -- one of which had to be carefully measured and custom made. Apparently they had to negotiate an issue with an earlier version as it did not fit properly (the glass is made by a third party

Love our sideboard from Mid Century Mobler. Julian was extremely helpful and patient while we looked at several sideboards. His knowledge of every piece is impressive. The piece we chose was in great condition for it's age, but Julian cleaned it up a bit more before delivery and wow, it's beautiful. They did such an amazing job, we couldn't be happier.

Nice store and nice pieces. We were looking for a record shelf so we purchased a beautiful large wall unit. We decided to add the fee to have it refinished and there was a little bit of electrical work to be done for a light in the bar unit. We received the shelf in the estimated time but when I got home and inspected the piece there was a quarter sized blob in the new finish where the stain ran. I reached out to the owner and he offered to send some wood moisturizer that was supposed to be included at delivery anyway. The feed n wax did nothing to resolve the stain blob. He offered to pick it

An amazing place to buy the very best in mid-century design. The staff is extremely helpful, accomodating, and patient. Shout out to Julian for all his help! I first spotted the piece on line and then made an appointment to see it in person. Julian met me at the door of the showroom where we both followed safe health protocols.

I recently took delivery of a console I'm using as a tv stand and am loving it. Julian and his team bent over backwards to work with me on achieving the right stain color and finish that I desired and the results were perfect!

What a great place to shop! I bought two nightstands from the unrestored section on Mid Century Mobler's website and arranged for them to be refinished using a stain compatible with my Herman Miller Thin Edge bed. The restorer MCM sent them to did an absolutely fantastic job - they look amazing. Just as important, Julian and his staff were a joy to deal with; the restoration was completed exactly on time, and the packaging and shipping were excellent. My experience was a 10 out of 10.

Beautifully restored mid-20th century furniture, predominantly Danish, in addition to new pieces. The on-site owners are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable​. Their enthusiasm for their products is infectious. The prices may seem high, but are commensurate with the quality and uniqueness of the items.
