Our wall paper hanging and painting service has been around since the 1979 and we are conscientious, meticulous, and one of the best in the business! Blue Sky PDX founder and CEO, Ed Kuchar, began wallpaper hanging, wall paper removing and painting in California in 1978. He graduated from the West Valley Occupational School in Van Nuys California.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality
Our project was very challenging. Lots of lines to align across wall paper panel boundaries. And our chose of paper was very difficult to hang. The end result was stunning! We were very pleased with the end result. We will definitely be using Blue Sky again on multiple projects in the future!

Blue Sky hung wallpaper in bathroom and it looks fantastic. Ed and his wife were fun to work with and they were incredibly considerate. They kept the space clean and tidy as they worked and they took great care to keep me included on the smallest of decisions so that I would be happy with the end project. I will absolutely hire them again and I highly recommend them for anyone else.

Magical! That is the first word out of my mouth after I saw one of the small closets off our master bedroom that Ed and his wife wallpapered for us. My wife and I couldn't be happier. Ed and his wife were wonderful to work with. On time, on budget, high quality, communicative and very nice people. We look forward to having them back to our house to wallpaper our entry in the near future.

Ed and his wife did such a terrific job with our wallpaper and were just a joy to work with from beginning to end! You can tell they take tons of pride in their craft and are meticulous about delivering a quality product and experience for their clients. They were communicative, prompt, and took great care to protect our floors and furniture while they worked. The end product is beautiful – and certainly something we couldn't have never done ourselves. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Wow! Ed and his wife were FANTASTIC — believe the hype.
From the moment Ed came over to give us an estimate he was kind, courteous and incredibly knowledgeable about wallpaper, wall texture and cute times. His price was fair, and he even followed up a few days later just to check in on some details. From start to finish he treated our project with incredible care and thought. Today was install day and Ed showed up on time, did the job perfectly, cleaned up and even fixed some loose screws when he put the switch plates back on.

Ed and his team do a superlative job, and they're fun to have around too. They are prompt, absolutely meticulous, very skilled, and true to their word on scheduling and everything else. They were efficient and tidy. Ed won't give you the lowest bid, but it is very reasonable, especially for the quality of the work. I also really appreciated Ed's advice about how glossy or flat to go with the different paints. Our house is old and the walls and parts of the woodwork are showing their 100+ years of wear. Ed did a great job wallpapering a wall in my daughter's nursery. He came out and measured and helped me figure out what to order and how much before actually coming to do the install. He quoted me up front and stuck to the quote and was very helpful throughout the process. I had my heart set on a particular pattern that only came in the peel and stick variety which he explained is harder to work with. After trying and failing to come up with an alternative he agreed to hang the paper of my choice. It looks fantastic and I appreciate the extra work that went into hanging the paper I chose

Ed is professional, meticulous and a perfectionist! All these qualities show in his work ethic and in the end result. He hung wallpaper in our dining room and powder room. As you can see below, they turned out beautifully and I couldn't be happier. Ed kept his work space neat and tidy and communication was always clear from the beginning. Hanging wallpaper is definitely more complex than painting so I recommend having a professional do it. I'll definitely be using Ed for future projects!

I'm very fortunate to find Ed to hang wallpapers for my dinning room. After interviewing many service providers, I was impressed with Ed. He had a long conversation with me about the different types of wallpapers available, resources I can visit and the process of how he would hang the wallpaper. Ed cares his craft and his customers. Hello all,
Ed and his wife really proved just how good they are. We had purchased a very high end wallpaper, Martinique! The problem was finding people to hang this as it requires very precise cuts with basically no room for error.
After having one person come in, start the job and walk out after 5 minutes, saying they weren't going to touch this, too much liability. I was getting depressed. Another wallpaper hanger way under quoted as they had no idea what they were getting into. When Ed came by and carefully examined the wallpaper he came up with a quote and asked if I wanted on his schedule

I was given a referral for Blue Sky by an employee at Sherwin Williams for someone to hang my wallpaper. He's been in the business over 20 years. Yesterday was install day and it came out beautiful! I am very happy. They were thorough and took their time to be sure and get it right. He is a little hard to understand on the phone, but hang in there because he brings with him years of experience and a positive attitude. He calculated the amount of wallpaper I would need in advance and I realized I was one roll short so I was able to order it and get it back in time to make our install date
