I needed some ideas and a new perspective to refresh some spaces in our home. After meeting Ashleigh at a professional organization we belong to and viewing her website I had a strong hunch she'd be perfect for the job. Her style is impeccable. I live in a townhouse where the entrance way, the living room and the dining room are all one big room. I had the furniture in each area arranged several different ways and it never looked or felt right. We had never used an interior designer before and really didn't know what to expect. Ashleigh Underwood Home & Interior design is a fantastic business and I highly recommend them! Firstly, Ashleigh is so talented and organized. My husband and I finally got around to remodeling the kitchen and I really wanted a professional to help with all the details. Our kitchen is large but I wanted to make sure we had a large banquette as well as an island for cooking and an additional for the kids to study. I'm certainly not a design expert and I don't know the industry lingo on how to describe everything, but I do know that the houses she designs end up looking really awesome! We had such a great experience with Ashleigh Underwood Home & Interior Design. We bought a fixer upper house in San Francisco. Ashleigh traveled up to see the bones of the home, finding the beauty in the beast as it were. It was a mid century modern home - great lines. I really appreciated her questions and explanation of certain materials she used so we understood how choosing the right materials would actually benefit us and our space. Ashleigh taught me what good quality was and where it made sense to invest or not, working within our budget.

When we lived near San Francisco, our hilltop house which overlooked the Bay had too many bedrooms and not enough space for to do the laundry! Ashleigh rethought the plan, designed a superb moveable island for ironing and storage that blended with the mahogany built-ins in a spare bedroom; a washer, a drier, a deep sink, and a few other changes later and we had the most elegant laundry room you will ever see!
Now we live on a canal in South Florida, In a contemporary house with a cathedral ceiling and a mezzanine floor. Ashleigh created a plan for custom bookcases & storage on one end of the floor

My house renovation was extensive. I had to move the kitchen, which can be challenging. Ashleigh asked me to give her the exact measurements for the new layout and a list of products that I wanted. She helped me design the flow of the kitchen and then came back to me with product prices from her suppliers (with discounts). Ashleigh also offered other product suggestions based on quality and cost! She was the point of contact with my GC from across the country and even with multiple suppliers and contractors things went smoothly. She also recommended this amazing tub! Thanks again Ashleigh!

I have worked with Ashleigh on several home project over the past 5 years. Most recently, we moved into a much larger home and the living area configuration was quite a conundrum. Ashleigh came up with a brilliant furnishing plan that I would have never considered and it worked out so perfectly! One of the problems she solved was the lack of properly defined spaces within an expansive open floor plan. Now we have a space that flows and functions beautifully.
