If you store your guns in a record safe you will probably get some moisture on them. That is why most American Made gun safes use gypsum board for an insulator. Gypsum board is fire resistant but not made with water like the insulation in record safes and filing cabinets. Although gypsum board is an excellent insulator it will not insulate for as long or for temps as high as a record safe or fire proof filing cabinet.

My husband has been looking for a safe. He did not really know what he wanted. Mark spent all day with us. We drove from Lebanon Indiana to come see safes (4.5 hours) I am so glad we did. They were very nice and knowledgable. We felt very welcome and he was pleasant with every single question we asked. We were there 30 minutes after closing and they still treated us like we were all that mattered. I highly recommend The Safe House. Just bring your coat, the warehouse is cold in the winter! :) They have all kinds and name brands. From in the wall to vault doors to all shapes and sizes of safes.
