Not a good move, not a good company! Really disorganized movers, I think they had no idea what to do. Lots of down time when they weren't even moving things. The truck was loaded so badly that I couldn't bring so many things. It's was probably at 50% but they had things loaded so there wasn't enough room. It was terrible!
They took hours to load a one bedroom apartment. So I was charged $700 more. Do not recommend, at all. Also, I've been trying to talk to someone in their company to let them know and to have some of the charge removed, but they don't call me back. Their sales people keep saying

Everyone we have dealt with this company have been wonderful. They showed up on time loaded quickly and worked so hard to get our move done quickly. They had to end up making 2 trips and one was in the rain!! They covered everything to get it in and I had some HEAVY items and awkward shaped things.

I was skeptical just because they quoted us so much less than other local companies, and the reviews were mixed, but I'm so glad we went with this company. Accurate quote, extremely reasonable prices, professional movers, everything went as smoothly as possible!

Beware!! An unmarked truck showed up and neither movers introduced themselves. Parking the truck alone seemed like a difficult task to the driver. After getting close enough to him, I realized it was because he reeked of alcohol!
It was quoted over the phone that the charges would be for a one-time $199 service fee, $39 one-time fuel charge and $109 per hour with a three hour minimum and that there were no hidden fees. The phone rep said he would “email the contract” and the email stated the above points along with the items to be moved that we discussed and a disclaimer for major appliances

The team that moved me out was terrible. Damaged flooring, damaged the front door. Somewhere between move out, storage, and move-in, someone damaged 2 bookshelves, destroyed one, and damaged a sleeper sofa in a way that makes the mattress no longer pull out. Something like $1000 to replace, and their $0.60/lb insurance pays out about $67 for it. They also outright lied about storage fees. I was told before moving that storage was pro-rated, and I would only pay for the time my items were stored. In actual fact, it is pro-rated for the first 5 days, then you are charged for a full month. And after

I had a move/arrival window of 2-5:30. Dispatch called once to let me know they were still on their morning move and were delayed and someone would call around noon, but provided no detail about timing or where they are coming from, and no one called. Very long story short, I just got a call saying my movers wouldn’t arrive until 6:45 PM, AT NIGHT. I’ve never had an experience like this but I know I don’t have anything to sleep on because everything is in boxes and furniture is at the old place. I wouldn’t choose this company again. Hopefully won’t be charged full price for an awful experience

Extremely frustrated! Have a $500+ billing discrepancy from a month ago. No one at customer service will even answer the phone! Rental office cannot do any more than give me the one phone number. Hate to drag it out with a lawyer but can't seem to make progress any other way. This is ridiculous and very poor business.

Don't use this moving service. Sloppy and unorganized. They dented and scratched my refrigerator. They didn't use any padding to cover it. They also broke my curio cabinet glass inside the cabinet. I had to trash it. They didn't send me a check for the damaged product. And I didn't even get my $100 deposit back, like they promised.

If I could give them a 0 rating I would. The worst moving company ever. They damaged ALOT of my furniture. I had a brand new desk I brought for my daughter and they damaged it to the point it could not be repaired. I had to throw it away, a $300 desk. Then they cheated me out of my $100 deposit. It was suppose to be deducted from the total charge and it was not and they would not reimburse me for it. They told all kinds of lies to keep me from getting it back. Run away from these people. They do not value you nor your belongings and will destroy your property.

Stay away!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE in terms of every aspect of the moving process: scheduling, customer service, the move itself, and claim for damaged furniture. Office employee, Kelly, did not enter my information correctly so they SKIPPED me the scheduled move day and only showed up after I called all day long to 3 different numbers. Showed up 9 hours after scheduled arrival time. Kelly blamed ME for her data entry mistake and hung up on me.

They showed up, walked through my house, said the job was too big and left. This was after it had been booked for two weeks and I confirmed the move twice. They had the size of the move documented correctly. There was no reason for them to leave me stranded. I had packed and wrapped everything. Then the company wouldn't call me back. I left messages and sent an email and nothing. Worst experience with moving ever.

We just moved from Dayton to Cincinnati, and having already done two moves this year decided to hire help. We didn't know what to expect as we hadn't hired help before, and let me tell you what: friendly, personable, quick, and awesome. They took a multi-day move and got it done inside of 4 hours including an hour of drive time. Even worked with us on things like removing a door to get the washer and dryer downstairs. Completely respectful of our need to shuffle pets around the house, worked hard and fast. We just bought this place so hopefully never have to move again, but if we do we will be

Well they never showed up. Never called us to say they weren't going to make it. With a 26 ft moving truck and a trailer and truck FULL of things, me a mom of 2, and my father, a 66 year old man, moved everything. Absolutely hands down the worst customer service I've ever received from any company. Ever. The movers have damaged my heirloom furniture, and the company has not responded to my emails, nor have they returned my phone calls. It has been a month since I've first contacted them. BEWARE of this moving company, you will be taking a HUGE RISK. I had really good things to say about this company until recently, I decided to change my review...Beth in the office is the one we worked with and she was great. Then we called because we were missing some belongings, our mountain bike, a 6 by 6 foot mirror that was really special to me that I got from a guest at the hotel I managed, and all of our kitchen supplies are missing. A couple weeks ago, I was very late in trying to book a moving company with my move being only a week out. I had tried to book nearly ten moving companies before I had success with Blue Oak Moving. They were able to find me a time that fit my move as well as store my items before I moved to my next location in 6 days. Beth was wonderful and greatly helpful on the phone, and the movers were very careful and speedy with both of the moves! It was my first time using a moving company and I had such a great experience. Their prices were reasonable and their estimate was spot-on with no hidden or last minute charges. I used Blue Oak Moving for my recent move from Hampton to VA Beach. The team was extremely friendly and professional. They arrived a few minutes early and used extreme caution while loading and unloading. They were efficient and finished early even after putting my furniture back together.
