If you want customer service that does not even show the bare minimum with regards to your move - this is the company for you! I booked a cross-country move from CT to CA in August through United Van & Storage. Ace was the local carrier that picked up my belongings and was my contact throughout the process. My stuff was set to be delivered on September 1 in California...and two days, one day before the move I had not heard anything. I hadn't received any updates about when my things would arrive. I called Tom Mulrooney (my contact) and he couldn't even tell me where my belongings

The guys showed up at exactly 8:30 am and could not have been nicer or worked any harder or faster. They moved all of my furniture and a huge sofa out of my apartment and down a flight of stairs without missing a step. Then they placed everything in my new place just where is belongs. They even got a full sized mattress and box spring up to the loft in my new place like it wasn't an issue at all. I would definitely recommend Ace Van & storage to all of my friends and family.

Ace Van and Storage provides the kind of old-fashioned service that is very hard to get any more. Mind you, I am writing this review only after my stuff was packed and picked up and not after it has been delivered. I will provide the second half at that time, hopefully will be as kind and appreciative as this one. First, they pick up the phone during office hours. There is always someone who will direct your call or give you info. For someone who was juggling moving out of the country, this was very useful in not making me waste my time. They are also very prompt at returning messages if you happen

After reading reviews (and complaints) from all the other moving companies in our area I was a total wreck about moving until a friend recommended Ace. We moved from Durham to Wallingford and we were moving the contents of a 4,000 sq. foot house into a house about 1/2 the size. I was worried about a lot of my treasured heirlooms handed down from grandparents, along with other household items.
From the original walk through and estimate with Tom in the office, to the final move this company is TOP NOTCH! They were professional, courteous, friendly and fast working. They cared for our things

Used these guys twice within a few weeks. When I first arrived in CT from MN, they moved me in. It was an ok experience, not great, but better than average. When I had to move within a month unexpectedly, I called them again and they were even better and very efficient. I'd recommend them. My one bedroom apartment got moved in 4 hours.

Everything the previous reviewer said was accurate. Ace Van & Storage was a pleasure to work with-professional, punctual and very competent. My husband was particularly concerned with moving his antique grand piano-Ace moved it with nary a problem, true kid glove service. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company.

We stumbled upon Ace movers this past week when we were looking for a firm to move portions of our household in the northwest corner of CT to a second home just outside New Haven. Boy, were we lucky to have found them! Ace's estimate of costs for the move was the lowest of any of the (many) movers we contacted -- and then, when the actual move was complete, even though we added a few significant items, the final cost was fully 15% less than their written estimate! None of this would have been worth it if the movers hadn't been timely and competent, but Pat and Mike were that and more

We hired this company to move us a very short distance (we had a LOT of stuff). They were very good. Punctual, polite, good teamworkers (had a crew of 3), not too much chitter-chatter. They moved some stuff that I didn't think humans were capable of! I was very nervous about using movers (first-timer) and everything was great.
The ONLY thing that broke was our printer, but that was our fault for not moving it ourselves...and it wasn't the greatest printer anyway.
