SHOULD BE ON YOUR DO NOT HIRE LIST!!!! Not pleased at all. Last May (2020) we purchased a home and had SC (recommended by our agent) perform an HVAC inspection before the close of escrow.... giving us the THUMBS UP. The day we move in HVAC doesn't blow cool air. We called our preferred HVAC co and they identified that the duct from the return to the condenser was collapsed. We called our agent and SC came out two days later to replace the collapsed duct. Still didn't seem as if it was blowing enough but it seemed better in most registers so we figured it was fine. Southern Comfort delivered. I talked with several different HVAC companies and was able to get a 5 ton 96% efficiency unit for the price that everyone else was charging for an 5 ton 80% efficiency system. They were professional, friendly, fast and clean up was great. I have had to call them back to fine tune the airflow which is normal and they are usually there the next day.

Find another company for your HVAC services; my AC unit was not working on/off; the first time the technician came out the AC started working before he arrived, therefore, he stated there is no way to trouble the issue and did not charge me for checking possibilities of issues. Several days later the AC stopped again, I called for the technician to come and check on the issue, the same guy comes over, with no mask on and tracking dirty shoes in my house and not using social distance at all. He goes up my carpet stairs to the attic to look at the zoom board, this is after I suggested the zoom board

I would like to start out by saying I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had contracted Southern Comfort to Install a new HVAC System and along the way learned of many illegal practices by this company, a year later I still do not have working Heating and Air Conditioning. First, they asked for the contract price of $10K cash upfront which later I found out to be illegal. They can only ask for 10% or $1,000 whichever is less. The also did not offer me 3-day rights to rescind our contract. I never signed a contract the owner signed it. They also did not pull any permits for my job.

I would NOT recommend this company. My husband and I hired them to inspect the AC system in our home before we purchased it, based on the recommendation of our real estate agent at Lyon. We suspected the system was on the fritz because it was 14 years old and the prior owner disclosed that the refrigerant had to be recharged twice in the prior two years. As such, we were surprised when the inspection report from the owner of Southern Comfort, Mark, came back positive. He simply suggested that we have some sealant injected into the system in the spring of 2019 (the inspection was in December 2018

I was so impressed with this company! I had installed a smart thermostat last fall and it didn't come with a "C" wire, so needed someone to pull that for me. The owner showed up promptly, he was very professional, worked hard, and then would not take full payment for the service call because it was such a quick little job.
Also, Cindy in their front office was super duper nice. Very impressive service all the way around!

I called Southern Comfort to discuss our furnace and ac system.
The company owner, Mark Adams, was the friendliest person and
told me that with regular maintenance we could keep the system
going without a problem. I requested a quote for a complete new
Amana system anyway. The next day at 4:00 PM a new HVAC with
new a air filtering system and properly sized ducts was in operation.
The personnel at Southern Comfort from owner to office and the 3 technicians that handled the system installation was truly a pleasure
to do business with.

Unbelievably excellent experience. We recently bought our house and our first attempt to get the A/C working failed. Called Southern Comfort and Paul (the owner's son) came out. He was very knowledgeable and didn't jump to conclusions. Thoroughly troubleshot the problem and explained everything (I learned a lot!). Very, very honest. Plus, both he and his dad (the owner) are very personable, very nice people. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I believe in Southern Comfort as there is no hard sell by Mark the owner. We received 1 other bid and it was higher and the owner wanted the entire amount the day the HVAC replacement was started. The California Contractor's licensing board says this is not right so we went with Southern Comfort who did not require the entire payment the day of start. Mark took our payment in stages as the job progressed and the final payment was not made.required until our new HVAC system had passed the city building inspector and the permit signed off .

We've been renovating our home and had just gotten a huge portion of wood repair and backyard demo completed when I started thinking about getting the AC looked at. Especially before the heatwaves start to roll in. Sadly, we put it off and the first day of triples digits rolled through and our AC died.
