First Choice Appliance is a family-owned local company in North Idaho. We provide a full range of services for most brands of household appliances. Our technicians are factory-trained and highly skilled in repairing all types of major household appliances: Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Ranges, Ovens, Microwaves Range Hoods and Disposals.
Parts used in the repair of your appliance are equal to or superior to the original parts. The replacement parts are new and are guaranteed for 90 days. Just give us a call if any part that we replace in your appliance fails during the warranty period. Then we will quickly replace the broken part without any additional charge.
We use flat rate pricing and do not have an hourly charge. All appliance repair prices and charges are based on the standard National Major Appliance Service Price Guide. We generally do not provide diagnosis or quotes over the phone unless we recently physically checked your appliance. We can quote some typical repair prices, but we cannot guarantee over the phone quotes.
Appliance Repair Technician repairs and installs major household appliances - refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges, ovens, stoves, dishwashers, built-in microwaves - and looks up and orders parts necessary for repairs. All work is done at customers' locations in Bonner, Kootenai, and Boundary counties of North Idaho.

Don't waste you time here. I called to get my fridge fixed. Got authorization from the manufacturer that provided the price as well as labor. The guy Andre didn't follow through the company or scheduling my service. I have no fridge and he thinks its a great idea to waste my time instead of saying he didn't want the work. I called and emailed multiple time and he thinks it professional to text me he had a back injury. Doubt it since all this occurred within 2 days. Hard to find honest service and he is proof of that. If I could give this dude zero stars I would.

Gave me a 3 hour window and called at 3 hours and 15 minutes only after my wife called him.then the repair man called me and said be there in 15 to 20 minutes a half hour later still no show .so will never use this company will not recommend this company will tell people how unprofessional this company is

I called for a repair on a washing machine purchased at an Estate sale. Called and made an appointment for the next day. Andre called before arriving and was very prompt. He tested various points on the unit and concluded that the problem was in the control board located on the motor. He checked several resources for a replacement. As the replacement part was more than we paid for the washing machine, he recommended not replacing the part. He did recommend some other brands that he considered superior to the unit we had. Andre was pleasant and straightforward and I trusted his experience.

We have used First Choice Appliance for a number of years. Every time, they are responsive. If they cannot make it out the same day, then they are out the next day. The technicians are friendly and reliable. The repairs are made quickly, even if they need to get parts and the price is great.

The device guy diagnosed our problem, then told us he would order the needed parts. 3 weeks later no call or contact.
Company receptionists says the service man couldn't order the parts and service man doesn't contact the clients at all.

Wow that's all I have to say about these people is wow. I rent, had stove issues called these guys to come out and look at it. First guy came out fixed it and said hey if any problems happened give me a call give me a number he says I can fix it really easy. So when it did go back out I called and called and called no return call. So I called the appliance place again and they sent out another guy really young real disinterested stood in my kitchen and texted the entire time he was here and then he informed me it was going to cost me about $700 for a new board for the oven. We have used First Choice several times for our refrigerator and dishwasher. Each time they have provided great service. At this last visit (dishwasher) they diagnosed a faulty control module and were able to repair it, saving us the $400 that a new module would have cost. I had shopped around for a new module before I called them and the $400 quoted was basically at cost.

Followed up on my call right away. Showed up in the toilet me frame requested. Found out the power had kicked off and that was the problem. Only charged the original house call fee although guy spent a good 39 minutes checking everything out. Fixed up the knobs on the burner that were loose. Nice job. Would use again. Talk about awful! Came to our house through America Home Shield. Did not communicate with us about what was wrong with our oven repair. Simply walked out of the house with no word to anyone. 2 weeks later I called to ask for status. Said part was on order. Next day, they submit to AHS that they could not diagnose the problem. Talk about lame!!

Would NOT recommend this company at all!!! Had a dryer that wasn't heating. Called them after three visits and $100 later the dryer had more problems with error codes and wouldn't even turn on. After trying to contact the company for 5 days they finally refunded 1/2 of my money back. The service tech was very unprofessional running in and out of my house with no understandable words spoken. Had to finally go buy a new dryer. Go with a different company!

So initially called due to a refrigerator not working. I tried unplugging for a few days to thaw frost but it still didn't work. So I called First Choice. After playing phone catch I was able to speak with a woman who began to schedule an appointment for next week. Once I told her I lived in Roseville she immediately said someone could come by same day. The repairman came by and after a quick assessment said the fan needed to be replaced. I agreed to the price of $150. It took him about 10 minutes to repair (simply opening up back of panel in the freezer with a drill) he had the part

The service guy came to fix our microwave that is also part of an oven. We had another company come first that were unable to fix the problem, and wanted to charge us $900 to order additional parts with labor. Decided to get a second opinion. Called First Choice and the guy came out. Diagnosed it, and fixed the problem. Cost us $75. I highly recommend.

Other than being later than the originally promised window of time, the service was great. The technician was in contact with me and once he got here was diligent in getting the work done. He knew what the problem was, had all the parts with him and was able to repair our fridge quickly.

Today was the second time I used this company. I live in Elk Grove and each time I called for a refrigerator repair, they sent someone the same day. Several years ago they repaired the refrigerator in my kitchen because the freezer stopped working and everything started to melt. It was a simple and inexpensive part and my fridge is still working well . Today the garage fridge was making a loud noise and they repaired the fan. Again, very inexpensive and their $35 service call is applied towards the repair so my total today was only $35.

I am so glad I found them! I had a dryer making a horrible noise and being the cheap, rather thrifty, person I am the $35 fee which is applied to the repair got my interest. I ended up spending a reasonable amount for the repair. The gentleman came out on time and the appointments were within my schedule so I did not have to take time off work. He had the part and I was left with a quiet dryer.

Was living without the use of our dishwasher for a week. I called First Choice Appliance. They were prompt, courteous, and knowledgable. Our dishwasher needed a part. He said he would be back later in the afternoon but would call first.He did, and was again prompt. Fixed my dishwasher and it was reasonable. Would hire them again.

Found these guys via the web. I was not sure what to expect but a search did not find any complaints on them; unlike some of their competitors, so I called to get a ballpark figure as to the repair of my HD washer.
