L & J Appliance Service
L&J Appliance solely works on Sub-Zero refrigerators, Wolf appliances, and Cove dishwashers. We do not service any other appliances, therefore all of our technicians are extremely well-versed in all Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove models. Our technicians undergo a three month training program where they work side by side with an experienced technician.

This takes place both out on the road with customers as well as in a shop setting, working one on one with a supervisor. We currently have 14 technicians that work the NYC and Northern NJ territory with an average of 17 years of experience servicing Sub-Zero Appliances. We service Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove appliances in Staten Island, Manhattan, and northeast New Jersey (Bergen, Passaic, Sussex, Morris, Essex, Hudson and Union counties).

We can be reached toll-free at 1-800-532-5858 during business hours: Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm. We are happy to answer your questions about Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove appliances; schedule a service appointment; or receive feedback about a recent service call.

The customer service acts high and mighty and as condescending as they can be. How can a service company be this way fails explanation.

EVERY experience I've had with this company has been professional, expert and exceptional. Each time, I've gotten an appointment within days. The techs called ahead of time to confirm, and brought extra parts, should they be needed. They're clean, thorough and helpful. The person who arranges for the certificate of insurance is quick, and responded to my condo office's request for more information within an hour. My SubZero is aging, and it's reassuring to know that I've L&J to rely on.

I had an appointment tonight for between 4 and 7 pm for the repair of a freezer. When I called at 6:50 pm to ask when the repairman might be showing up, they told me they would call and get back to me. When I did not hear back after 1/2 hour, I called again, spoke to someone else who told me that they could not send a repairman now until Monday morning. First, to schedule me and then to cancel is unprofessional . Additionally, not to have the courtesy to call me back and tell me is inexcusable.

Un presentable, the technician just kept trashing the previous service company we had used.
I would had appreciated that he had concentrated on solving my problem other than just keep talking.
In the end, the problem was not resolved would had been better if he would just kept quiet and not trying to look good stepping on someone else's head. We called again the previous company, they came and resolved the issue fast, efficiently, and most important.... Quietly.

Could not be more quick and professional. The fan or compressor in my Sub 661 was making a wheezing, grinding noise. L&J came on Saturday (an exception), on one day notice, replaced the fan, all is whisper quiet again. They said if I waited, the compressor would have failed, which would have made it a much more expensive repair. Everything was super professional, L&J provided insurance certificate required by our condo on super-short notice, called 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment, were on time, fixed the problem and were gone. Easy payment by CC. I'd use them again (hope

AVOID L&J Appliance! They sent a guy who came to our apartment to diagnose some loud thuds we hear throughout the night/day from our Subzero fridge. He stayed for 5 minutes and had no clue what to do. We requested that he stay for another half hour to diagnose and he refused and gave us a $230 bill for his time of 5 minutes. Thank you so much sir.

I use this company a lot and they are always super professional and take care of the repairs in a timely manner.
I have never had an issue with them. They fixed my high end appliances and I didn't trust anyone else with my subzero.
They are factory certified. Always come on time and courteous and explain everything they do!

I, unfortunately have had to use L&J multiple times in the last 5 years. Though eventually they fix the problem, they start by sending people who don't know much.

The last time I used the, around March 2019, was for a Wolf Microwave. The first guy removed it and took it back to their shop, then brought it back claiming they ran tests and now was good, then had to come back 2x because it kept blowing the fuse. At the end, upon my insistence they call and speak to Sub-Zero, they quickly learned it was a fuse in the microwave itself. A $20 fuse ended up costing me close to $500 because

Set up appt. to repair our ASKO clothes dryer. I told them when setting the appt that the belt was broken but when the tech showed up (on schedule) he did not have the belt with him. He claimed that they didn't know whether it was actually the belt, the motor or something else so he brought none of them. Because of the way the under counter dryer was originally installed, the tech was unable to remove it to even look at what it needed - no fault of his. However, he said it would take another visit once the dryer was able to be removed and it would cost $400-$800. I did the work to be

I've only used their service once. A technician named Peter came to fix my oven (wolf). He was professional, friendly. Probably the best experience I ever had with an appliance repair company. I notice some negative reviews here. I must have lucked out with a great technician. I would highly recommend Peter.

Horrible and obnoxious attitude. They do work for Subzero / Wolf. Subzero should find a NEW company, they (in particular JOE their who answers the phone) believes they can be rude to Subzero's customers. TERRIBLE.

NOTE TO SUBZERO WOLF - GET A NEW COMPANY TO SERVICE AND DO YOUR WORK.

I have had to use L&J 3 times now in the past 4 years. Each time the technician arrived in the time slot promised. The work was done in a timely fashion and very clean and neat. The tech was informative, polite and courteous. I also feel the fee charged was fair. I would certainly use them again though I hope I won't have to.

I give up. The last time I had my interactions, it was about 2 years ago, and they went from bad to better, so my review went from 1 star to 3 as they eventually were better (though it was really sub zero, as subzero just replaced my unit).

Now I have an issue with my ice maker. The unit is still under warranty, and they came to 'confirm' the ice maker was broken. They now have to order the parts. So a day wasted staying at home for them to confirm the ice maker is broken.

Then a day after their visit, the bottom of the shelf of the fridge becomes a freezer. It froze a pack of

-1 star. I have had the worst experience with L & J. I don't understand how the business operates this way. They tell you a day they can come, but you have to call at 8:30 that morning to get a three hour window. Most of the time, the phone line doesn't work and you cant leave a message. I don't understand for those who work how this is do-able. Someone eventually came, but then left for the ice-maker to still not work. They have been extremely unhelpful and unresponsive.

I was directed to L&J Appliance by Sub Zero after my freezer defroster/heater broke causing it to make the most awful sound. I scheduled an appointment for a few days later, you call the morning of for your 3 hour time window. Francis was our repairman... He was absolutely amazing! He called me 20 minutes before he arrived, asked me a few questions over the phone and already knew which parts to bring in with him! Francis was super friendly, helpful, prompt and knowledgeable. We scheduled a follow up appointment for a few days later so that I could work out warranty coverage with Sub Zero..

I've now taken off a day and half of work and my frig is still broken. I had the unit supposedly fixed last week for almost $1,500 and less than a week later the frig broke again. So the window was midday today. Same guy and said he fixed it again but wanted to check again on Wednesday. It's not fixed and I just threw out about $50 of food. So now a different person is coming tomorrow. I'm hopeful for that because I question the competence of the original guy. I tell everyone never to buy a subzero. It's like the Jaguar that's always in the shop. I would replace the

We have owned subzeros for years in other homes and they are very well built and, at least in the past, have had very good warranties (I say in the past because we haven't had to buy one in a very long time and this one is so old that the warranty has def expired). So, I have a 15 year old Subzero 700TC which has not been cooling properly (fridge only- freezer is fine). I was worried that the evaporator had gone bad because there was frozen condensation down low on the back wall (inside the unit).

At first I entertained the idea of a random (internet search) company b/c, honestly, I couldn

I have a 10 year old Sub-Zero 650 in the apartment I bought, and the previous owner had used these guys so I thought I would do the same when I had serious ice build-up in the freezer. The courteous gentleman on the phone diagnosed the problem (the door gasket had a rip, he predicted correctly) and scheduled a visit 3 days later. At 8:30am I called for an arrival window (they gave me 9 to 11am). They arrived at 9:02 parts in-hand, made the repair (including ice removal) in 20 minutes including clean-up. Totally delighted in their service.
