Steorts Garage Doors was founded by Bob Steorts in 1967. With Bob's extensive background in electronics the business was initially repairing and installing garage door openers and quickly evolved into a comprehensive garage door and opener company. Jim Nielson took over the company in 1987 when Bob retired.

We can install & repair most make and models of garage doors. Whether it's a new install or a repair of an existing garage door, we have the knowledge and experience to get the job done right.
It is very important that you do not attempt to fix this yourself because the spring is under extreme tension and can cause severe injury if you're not accustomed to how it works and is setup. Whether your garage uses a torsion or extension spring, we can replace and fix the problem. We typically have same or next day service.

We had a broken coil on our garage door, and called in to get an appointment scheduled. They luckily had someone in our neighborhood and had someone drop by within and hour of being on the phone! The technician quickly identified what was wrong with our coil, and knew exactly how to replace it. The fix took thirty minutes. They were respectful, professional, knowledgeable and delivered for us at a great price. 5 stars, would hire again in a heartbeat.

I highly recommend Stoerts. The customer service is top notch. I got 3 bids to replace my garage doors. Jim by far was the most responsive and thorough, it wasn't even close. Jim listened to my questions and actually answered them. Jim also pointed out issues and made suggestions, all of which was very helpful. The installation went smoothly and my new garage doors look great. I'm extremely pleased with Steorts.

Jim and Blake did an amazing job with my garage doors. They arrived with two of the windows cracked. They installed them, but said they would order replacements and be back to put them in. I paid them in full trusting that they would come finish the job. They did just that, even when the garage door company sent them one of the incorrect windows, they patiently ordered another one and came to my house a third time to install it. I am recommending them to everyone I know that needs work on their garage doors.

We have worked with Steorts several times. They came out to fix a broken spring and we liked them so much that we later had them install new doors and openers. Recently we needed an emergency repair after the door didn't open all the way which we didn't notice and accidentally backed out and jammed the door. They came right out and got us all fixed up. These guys are nice, honest, and they do good quality work!
