Russell "Red" Hehn grew up in South Mississippi with a papaw who ran a plant nursery, a dad who mowed his 2.5 acres religiously every Sunday, a green-thumbed momma who grew 10-foot zinnias, and an uncle who had him driving tractors and hauling hay by the time he was 11. Much later, he managed high-end landscapes for private individuals, exercising his eye for detail and learning the tricks of the lawn care trade.
