1. Developed the first 500+ kW grid-tied utility scale solar installation in the world at Rancho Seco Nuclear Plant. 2. Developed the first commercial-scale shaded parking solar plant in the U.S. at Cal Expo. Richard is the newest member of our team. He has 33 years experience in the general contracting business building projects such as restaurants, wineries, hotels, movie theaters and custom houses.
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District solar team was responsible for over 50% of all grid-tied solar in US by 2001. It was in this same year that the global energy community recognized the pioneering work by Don and his team. They were awarded the 2001 International Energy Globe Award with a 10,000 EURO first prize and a trip to Austria for Don.
