I will not make or tell the long story behind my service experience with A.R.E. Chicago, I can make 3 statements. 1) there was some problem with making and keeping appointments 2) they made it right AND 3) Hadji (spelling?) was terrific. Nice. Apologetic. Funny. A good hard worker.

3. Left jobs unfinished with no directives on what to do after.
4. Was very hard to reach after payment was collected. Did not respond to replies trying to coordinate a second visit.
$140 dollars down and conned.
Scam, should be investigated.

I needed a repair on a very squeaky dryer that made an unbearable shrieking noise. Robert was available same-day, and gave me several options of times he could come. He was professional, courteous, and on time. He took pictures of the damage along the way and explained to me the problem. My dryer did not require a replacement of a part, which I thought was very honest and straightforward-- he could have charged me for a part but only did what was required to fix the problem.

A R E was able to come out the same day I called to fix my Kenmore fridge. Other companies didn't pick up my call or couldn't come until week. He knew exactly how to fix it, and was in and out very quickly. I learned he was a former Sears technician, so I got all the expertise without having to deal with infuriating Sears service!

I am so pleased that I found A R E Chicago--makes it almost worth having the mess Robert fixed! He got back to me much faster than even one other person I contacted for my dilemma. He is competent, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He wore a mask, now during pandemic-time, which I appreciated.
I had him come for a broken refrigerator, and he figured out that the fridge was fine, and the leak was actually coming from the kitchen sink across the room! Glad I did not spring for a new refrigerator before consulting him!

Robert replied quickly after I requested a quote in the evening of Tuesday. He was at our place by Friday during the promised window. Robert explained the safety hazard we had been living with and also explained what additional repairs would likely need to be done in the future to ensure total repair. So my 10 year old refrigerator stopped working Saturday night spoiling a bunch of food and was on the verge of spending thousands of dollars to buy a new unit when I decided to call out a appliance repairman. That's when Rob came out very professional, and taken all COVID-19 precautions. Surprisingly in less than an hour I had my refrigerator up and running. Extremely satisfied was Rob was able to make it out the same day and very reasonable.... Before you condemn your Appliance give A.R.E a call.
