Just had a Green Knight put a metal roof on my house and it's been a smooth process. I really appreciated their regular communication, especially since there was several months between signing the contract and the roof installation. I would receive an email every couple of weeks letting me know that I was still in the que and I had not been forgotten. Then a walk thru meeting before installation to discuss all the steps, plus texts with pictures of the installation while it was happening. The crew putting on the roof was also as nice and considerate as they can be. Really pleased with the whole

I had a great experience with Green Knight. We had hail damage and were needing to get a new roof installed. I got quotes from a few different roofers and was really happy with the quote from Green Knight - even though it was a few dollars more.
What I liked about Green Knight was that they were fully insured, they ONLY install metal roofs, and that they offered a warranty that I thought they could stand behind (as they have been in business for a couple of decades!). I was also happy with being able to lock in the price of the metal roof with my first deposit.

The 5 star rating comes with caveats. #1 stay actively engaged with your crew. There was an initial lack of communication about all the style options available to me i.e. (ridge caps and finishing trim) during the sales process - but once I got engaged with the crew and during the 'walk through' before the work began, there was common agreement on the craftsmanship details and everyone was quite responsive. I would not hesitate recommend Green Knight. I'd even leave 4.5 stars if possible. They just finished a metal roof install on my 1963 vintage house. The finished product looks fantastic, and we've had multiple rounds of thunderstorms pass through and all is good. The guys busted their rears scraping off FIVE layers of tar paper in the heat. God bless them. They got all the way down to plywood.
I'm pretty mellow, so delays due supply issues, COVID, a super wet spring didn't bother me. Why 4.5 stars instead of 5? Well, here it is (yes, rather nit picky in the grand scheme of things).

This rating for me was because the project was “good”. I was placated enough to sign off on the final approval.
This was partially because after 2-3 weeks from materials being dropped off to the final time the crew came by, I was tired of dealing with it.
I didn’t know what to expect going into this as a new homeowner but wasn’t impressed. Not only was every single date I was told by my project manager wrong (yes every. Single. Date) and only 1 time did the project manager message me to tell me that timelines had changed.

Loved the customer service during Covid, they went above and beyond with the installation of a roof on our Texas Farmhouse style new build for my parents. They showed up on-time (rare during these Covid times), finished without a hitch. They even called my dad (who doesn't text and rarely emails) to stay in touch!
The owner, installers and sales people all had excellent communication. Very happy with the product and service.

Green Knight was very professional, they picked up their tools and sulies daily. They were very responsive and knowledgeable whenever we had any questions. We obtained a few quotes from different companies and really feel Green Knight had the best value and quality. They were very timely even with multiple weather delays. We are really enjoying our new metal roof (upgrade from shingles) and it has added peace of mind to have a more structurally sound roof! Would definitely recommend!

Recently, a neighbor's tree fell on our roof during a bad storm. The tree damaged about a 15-foot stretch of the roof. We saw a billboard for Green Knight on I10 and weren't familiar with metal roofs, then we had a hail storm in March. We met Tara the sales rep and a colleague of hers who came out on a Saturday morning to Gonzales! We agreed to hiring them after speaking with a realtor about what a ballpark price would be. Green Knight came in under that ballpark number. They promised to knock it out within two weeks and they did. Total pros, every one of them. We can't recommend them any higher. Brett our project manager was incredibly helpful. These guys are top notch.

I hired Green Knight to replace an old shingle roof with a nice, new metal one. There was some specialty work required to make it look right, as it was a very old home. The project manager planned the work properly and ensured the crew did the job right. The crew was very efficient, worked together, and kept the job site clean while they worked. I was very impressed with Green Knight's professionalism and highly recommend them!

We were impressed with Advantage Metal Roofs and Graeme Wright during our first meeting with him. He was extremely thorough in explaining and demonstrating his product. Advantage Metal Roofs specializes in metal roofs and uses its own employees. We felt this was a big plus over firms who sub the work out. As it turned out we were right. Graeme and his team of expert installers were everything we hoped they would be. The work was done efficiently, professionally and in a very timely manner. They did everything they promised and more. We just had a new roof put in by Advantage Metal Roofs. We were very impressed with their service, installation, materials, and workmanship. Putting on a good metal roof in the correct way with the right materials isn't cheap. It was a huge investment for us. But in the end, it was the right (and only) decision, and Graeme (the owner) and the rest of the Advantage Metal Roof crew made it work.
We bought a house complete with the exact opposite of what Grame and AMR do - a cheap roof put on by inept people with low-end materials. There was caulk and tape everywhere. It leaked all the time

Stop here if you've been looking to buy a reasonably priced, quality metal roof, from a local, family-owned business run by some incredibly decent folks.
Having had to spend all of our rainy day fund on, literally, a rainy day (and a leaky roof), I was very reluctant to let go of such a large chunk of cash on any company less than deserving. I contacted two other roofers - one who never called me back and the other never showed up for the appointment. I called Advantage Metal Roofs and received a call back within minutes. Graeme, the owner of the company, showed up for our appointment
