Generally the result of a green pool, the pool is drained and the interior is washed with liquid chlorine to rid it of algae. This mixture will kill most of the algae in your swimming pool. A chlorine bath WILL NOT HURT your pool as long as the chlorine is applied properly and removed after the pool cleaning has been completed.
The main reason for a pool drain is due to the TDS (total dissolved solids) in the pool water. In the summertime, temperatures reach 100 - 118 degrees. Combined with low humidity and windy conditions the evaporation rate in your swimming pool is greatly excelled. When water evaporates, only H2O dissipates The TDS remains in that body of water.

Excellent company!!!! I use them for all the homes I manage throughout the Valley including my own pool. they do an outstanding job all my pools runs smoothly clean they stay on top of everything! I also just replaced all my pool equipment with a variable speed pump which Doctorpool recommended and that was the best decision I ever made. My electric bill is a third of what it used to be. Plus they have remodeled my poor I am so thankful to have them. Kudos to all of you at Doctorpool!!!

Doctor pool and James have a great company! They work well with our hectic schedule and are great with little emergencies that pop up. They've been maintaining my pool for the past 2 years which has been mostly used as an airbnb. Some guests can be quite picky and on occasion Doctor pool has sent over technicians sane day to walk through perceived pool problems with guests. Overall my experience with this company has been great. Would recommend 10/10.

Texting while driving, almost running into me (with me being the only other driver on the 3 lane road), all while they have a passenger that could be doing it instead. Both pictures were safely taken at stop light after they'd been texting while driving in the lane next to me for the past couple minutes after they turned on a red. They kept texting while driving for several lights after. Very unprofessional! I WOULD NOT trust them to be on the roadway near me let alone work on my pool.

If they had no star rating that is what I would have given this company. This pool company was refered by a good friend. They did not come out to see my pool they asked for photos. I sent them the requested photos and what I got back was a sales pitch. Based on my photos they decided my pool pump had run dry !!!! My pool pump is working just fine ! In order for me to become a client I would need to buy a new pool pump, filter, and cleaner at a cost of $7,000.. Basically I must buy all new equipment from them in order for me to hire them to clean my pool !!!! I just wanted someone to come clean

I have been using Dr Pool for about 10 years now! They are the best! We have them do our weekly service along with regular maintenance items like draining the pool, glass beading, replacing pool lights, fixing our heater...really anything we need they get someone out quick to help. Our pool always looks sparking clean! I have referred them to many clients and friends and everyone is very pleased with their service. Such a great company and we appreciate them so much!

Received a promo for a free month of service from our pool builder. Two stars are for the fact the pool was cleaned well every week and whenever I had a question it was answered in a timely manner. There are several small reasons we canceled but the biggest reason were the chemicals and lack of communication about them. During our free month, we had no access to any online portals to tell us anything about our service, and no one emailed to give any info either. If we weren't currently housebound because of the pandemic, we would never know anyone had even been here. The pool looked clean

If they had actually shown up to take care of our pool as they had in the beginning, they would have gotten a better rating. However, their sign in sheet proved that no one had been by to take care of our pool for 3 months over the winter...and it showed. Our pool was green. Broken parts (caused by employee(s) of the company) which they wanted to charge to replace, removed lengths of hose needed to keep the vacuum working properly, over-chlorinated the pool and not even sweeping the steps when they came out to "service" the pool. Super disappointed in this company.

Have been using Doctor Pool for over 1 year now. In early 2018 we decided to start using a professional pool cleaning service after having pool totally redone. After the re-do we went through 3 companies here in town that did not work out. They either did not show up, even though they were paid in advance, or the service was subpar. One company even had the nerve to speak to me very rudely when I called him the day before July 4th asking why my pool had not been cleaned 2 days prior as scheduled - he said he was in Las Vegas for the week, sorry. This company has the most incompetent office staff I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I want to say I have never given a bad review on yelp nor did I ever think I would but Brittany the office manager left me with no choice as I asked her multiple times to speak to someone above her and I guess she is above everyone working there as her response was "Im the office manager." So this I write this in hopes her boss will read it and find out who he has representing his/her business. She has a total lack of respect and a bad attidue to match. I agree with a few other reviews

I'm a new client of the company, was having issues with my pump and they were out the next day to get it replaced at a very competitive price. After the pump was installed I was having issues with my vacuum and the owner of the company was very attentive to me at 9:30 PM on a Friday night. He then called me Saturday morning to check in to see if there was any progress. He gave me some suggestions, I followed them. Now my pool runs perfectly. Thank you again to James and the team, you are all top-notch and I appreciate you going the extra mile to take care of a customer.

We have had Dave from Doctor Pool, service our pool for nearly two years now and could not be happier, it always looks amazing! Dave is thorough, conscientious and professional... plus he really knows his stuff, great work ethic and knowledge. Not to mention Dave is an absolute favorite of our dogs. So I guess your "quality pool service" should just be in quotations.

because their "quality service" is rather dubious

Lack of communication with girl in the office is the big problem. Calls are not returned promptly. Tech was dispatched quickly, but office person assumed I was cheap or had too much time on my hands
because she advised me to shop for my own replacement pump to save money. Seriously. I hired another company who had the part in stock and completed the repair in less than 40 minutes.

I have had my pool serviced for the last year, and its never looked better.. My Technician Ryan was excellent at keeping his schedule and keeping me informed of any problems. I recently have a new Tech Justin and he is just as professional, friendly and has kept up the pool just as great. The office staff is awesome! They are friendly and very professional as to keeping me informed when there are schedule changes, maintenance issues and very prompt at resolving any and all of my concerns, when they occur. I shopped around and their rates were the best I found. I would highly recommend Doctor Pool

Contacted Doctor Pool for an estimate for weekly pool service, they were very helpful in numerous aspects. I was very pleased with the service provided for my pool. The office staff were extremely courteous, also in depth with information needed for my services. They provided information for me, which was helpful as well. I was pleased with the services provided and will continue doing business with them from here on out. I highly recommended this pool company to pool owners. I have been with Doctor Pool since 2002. I totally agree with the first review. The first years were great and I had so much trust but in the past year the service has gone down hill! The tech doesn't show up for the weekly service and then when I call they first tell me he has been there but after arguing with them for 5 minutes they find out he wasn't! Then I have to call someone else to try to get the money refunded for the week. This has happened to me 3 times in the past 6 months and a friend who also uses them has dealt with it 2 times in the past 6 months.

I worked with this company for 2.5 years from 2011-2014. First two years were fine, tech was good. Starting mid 2013 they either changed all their staff or standards as my new tech Ryan, on more than one occasion did not come to perform the weekly cleaning, didn't provide any cancellation notice or communication that he would not be coming. After alerting the office of this unacceptable practice they had excuses, no solutions. The bad service continued. When this same tech suggested that I have my pool drained and acid washed for the cost of approx. $600 to empty, clean, treat and refill
