Even the cleanest of Arizona pools can develop a 'white line' of calcium buildup on the pool tile, hiding algae, mold and mildew. Two types of scale cause a line that pool tile cleaning needs to address: calcium carbonate and calcium silicate. Both can be difficult to remove using natural cleaners, and you could spend an entire weekend scrubbing the pool with little to no results - and you may even end up with scratched, damaged tile.
Unsightly stains and discoloration in the bottom of a pool develop from hard water, minerals, chlorine, dirt or algae. Pebble tec and plaster pools benefit from periodic draining, pool acid washing and refilling. Without regular maintenance, pool water will allow the growth of algae. After time, algae will stain the bottom of the pool.

I've always maintained the pool but need a technician for troubleshooting and repairs. This summer has been crazy getting someone to answer the phone, let alone getting an appointment. Brent was available and listened and was understanding of the issue. When Brian came out he was quick and thorough while offering advice to keep the pool well maintained. I would highly recommend Sunset Pool Care they are a new pool company I have decieded to use and they started with me in January 2021. My Pool Is sparkling clean everytime they leave. .I have this tree that is fairly close to the pool that sheds right into my pool which use to be a problem but since I hired Sunset Pool Care I hardly see any of the tree in the pool any more.
I am also a new pool owner so I am learning how to care for the pool as we go and last week the power went out in the pool pump I called brian and he was nice enough to walk me through and there was no judgement as it was

We hired Sunset Pool Care for weekly maintenance of our pool after the owner, Brent repaired a part on our sand filter. Brent told us that he would be with the technician during the technician's first visit to our home. When the technician showed up for the first visit, Brent nor any other manager, accompanied the technician. We had emptied and refilled our pool two weeks prior and added the shock and initial chemicals. I hired this company for what I thought would be my long term pool guy, and unfortunately I was wrong. Due to great reviews, I had hired him to install a new pool pump for me. But he never grounded the new pool pump. My other pool stuff wasn't installed right, and was done by someone else, but this doesn't mean to not install my new pool pump correctly. I also had hired him again a few months later to "troubleshoot" a suction issue with my pool cleaner. He trouble shot incorrectly by telling me 10 minutes later that I just needed to backwash the pool. The backwash took an additional 10 minutes

Had a blockage in pool vac PVC line. Brent cleared it in minutes with a CO2 tank! This after looking at filter pressure and other symptoms to quickly rule out clogged filter or other causes.
Rate was VERY reasonable - especially considering that another company's "pool professional" had flooded the side yard in a failed attempts to clear blockage using a hose & bladder, replaced the pool pump to improve suction and when still clogged insisted that the DE filter be opened up for a thorough cleaning.

We have used a couple of pool companies since moving here a year ago. We have had 2 weekly cleans so far from Sunset Pools and I can tell you that so far our pool (and especially our spa) has never looked better! No other company that we have used would actually vacuum out the spa - in fact the last company told us that all the could do was turn on the spa and it should bring debris up to the top. Wrong!
I also like that they send a report every time with a picture of the clean pool.

Terrible service. I used these guys to drain my pool and do a chlorine wash. I was also talking with them about doing weekly service. Now my pool is a mess and they are very rude. They charged more than other services in the area and do not communicate very well.
I contacted them about doing an acid wash. After they drained my pool, I asked about removing the hard water line on the tile. They were very vague with the response and then finally said they don't do acid washes, only chlorine washes and it would take days to get someone else out to do the acid wash.

I am very happy with Sunset Pool Care. This is my very first time owning a pool and after a year of trying to do it myself I figured it was time for the experts because I had no clue what I was doing. After shopping around I found Sunset Pool Care. Brian (owner/tech) was very knowledgeable and had no problem of explaining to me what I was doing wrong. He went over everything his services included in a manner that I would understand and gave me the cofort of knowing my pool was in good hands. Brian has done a great job with several different pool projects at my house. We did a pool drain and acid wash, and it was done well and very time efficiently. We also cleaned my DE filter. He paid much more attention to detail than the pool care company that cleaned it the year before. Lastly, we just fixed my pool pump. It had one broken part and a handful of worn-out parts. He ran to the get some new parts (and charged me a cheap price) and we had everything fixed that same day. He does a great job of paying attention to detail and not overlooking the small things.
