Can't say enough about the experience we had with Empirical Construction and their amazing team. Josh was incredibly responsive and quoted us fairly and quickly on our kitchen remodel and communicated our timeline throughout the process.
What puts Empirical over the top was working with Chuck as our project manager. Chuck communicated any decisions and changes throughout the process and continually listened to our desires for the remodel. We really appreciated his tact and suggestions when we hit any snags in the planning process and we couldn't be happier with how the project turned out.

Overall I would recommend Empirical Construction. They finished our basement and we are happy with the results. Chuck was the project manager and I thought he did a good job. What we liked most about Chuck and Josh were the ideas they had - including angled walls to make the room more interesting, paint colors, etc. Chuck was also very open to feedback and shared ideas on how to improve the experience for future customers (e.g. better price breakdown for initial quotes).

All I can say is WOW! My wife and I have had many remodeling projects in 3 homes over the last 15 years; Empirical Construction towers above any and all help we've ever hired. I'm glad I looked at Yelp for reviews, because this is how we found Empirical Construction. We talked to a few other contractors but stopped after we met with Josh at our consult.

We started our construction at the beginning of the Coronavirus, which turned into the stay home orders. Josh & his team asked us what we were comfortable with, and respected our decisions. We were having our basement finished - and all the workers used the 'emergency' exit to go in & out - we never encountered anyone in the weeks it took to complete.

I shopped around for a quote on a kitchen and master bathroom remodel. I picked Josh because of his responsiveness and I liked that his quote included architectural drawings so I could envision what we discussed. He spent the most time on a quote for a project he was not guaranteed to win, so that's what drew me in. He was also super nice and patient so that helped too :).

Empirical Construction did an amazing job with our kitchen remodel which was a major endeavor. We decided to take over the job ourselves, however needed some expert opinion to help guide us through permitting and building. Josh jumped right into our job without hesitation. This was our first large-scale home improvement project and we love the results. We did a full basement remodel and it looks awesome! Josh was great to work with, responsive, on budget, and even finished the project early! He was trustworthy and honest which was very important to us. My wife and I recently hired Josh to do a remodel on our outdated basement. They reconfigured some walls which really opened it up. We also had them put in an egress window in a basement bedroom so that it meets our zoning requirements for living space. The new lighting and floors looks excellent!
