Most air conditioners have their capacity rated in BTUs, or British Thermal Units. A BTU is, generally, the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water one degree F. Specifically, a BTU is 1,055 joules, but the first definition is easier to understand in real-life terms. One "ton", in heating and cooling terms, is 12,000 BTUs.

I purchased a new A/C-Heating unit a couple of years ago from Lee Thompson at the recommendation of a friend. At same time I purchased the twice yearly maintenance contract and couldn't be more happy with their service. First the new unit installation was smooth and easy and the service techs that have come out for the check-ups have been top-notch. I am especially impressed with Henry Gomez - he's been out twice and I hope they continue to send him when I need help. Henry is polite, considerate and really know his stuff. So good to see a conscientious worker these days. I would recommend Lee Thompson

The Lee Thompson Company has been my air conditioning and heating company of choice for nearly 25 years. They ALWAYS send a friendly and capable service person to my home. I personally encourage that everyone partake in a service contract to extend the life of one's HVAC unit. It is worth it! My recent visit included air conditioning repair by service person Henry Gomez, an amazing asset to the company. Henry explained in detail what was wrong and what needed to be done. I really appreciated his in-depth explanation and visual proof of what parts had worn out over the past decade-plus.

I've used these guys several times over the years in two different homes. Several reasons why I will choose here first. 1. They don't recommend replacing the entire hvac system like many other places for everything. They do what is needed and dare I say at fair price. (My last repair was yesterday and it was about 100 bucks to fix heater). 2. On time. 3. Quick to respond.

Very very very disappointing and unfair. Paid almost 3 k 3 years ago for a system and now they will not consider the warranty or fix for a reasonable cost?! They did attic and outside work. Their coils are all corroded, approx from 3 years ago. They do not stand by their service. They tell us we have a warranty, then quickly tell us they will not honor the warranty . Charged $99 and left. Not good. You should take better care of your customers! Very upsetting and here I thought a family run business would be the way to go + being a repeat customer. I do not understand what is going on!

We had a technician come out to fix our A/C recently. This was the best experience I have ever had with a repair company. The service manager was courteous and seemed genuinely concerned with my problem. The technician was prompt, informative, and quick. Everyone was so nice. The technician even spent time explaining everything to us so we would know what to look for in the future. I would definitely recommend this business.

Had a gentleman named Carlos come out and fix my AC unit. I followed him around and was asking all sorts of questions (why do this? what does this thing do? etc.,) He was patient and took the time to explain everything to me and I learned a great deal from the experience. Should I have any issues in the future, I will request him specifically. Good experience.

We had the compressor go out on our AC at 10 pm Thursday night. We called around and Lee Thompson Company was the first of MANY companies that could guarantee a time frame to come out on Friday. We REALLY didn't want to have to go ALL weekend without AC especially having a 3 1/2 year old and small pug that definitely need to have AC. Gilberto P. came out and he was great. Knew right away what was wrong and had the unit fixed within an hour (which included a complimentary cleaning of the outer unit). He explained what he was doing and why. He has been doing this line of work for 9+ years

Had an issue with the AC and called Lee Thompson. They sent out Terrence a day earlier which was GREAT. Terrence was wonderful. He explained everything and was not bothered when I watched and asked questions. He freely answered them and commented on what he was looking and. I HIGHLY recommend Terrence I felt comfortable working with him.

I used these guys for a quote (and am holding off on a repair for a little bit). So this is about the customer service so far of the company. Chuck Ward is their quote guy, and he came out for at least an hour to inspect my A/C system. He was just a really funny, cool guy, did a thorough job, and promptly wrote up a quote. The best part is the prices were really great. I have a friend who usually does my A/C work, but when I shared the prices with him he said they were great and encouraged me to use them. So, 5 stars for being personable, honest, and not too expensive.
