Book Heating and Cooling Inc. is locally owned and operated by Larry and Joe Book. He expanded the business in 1989 to its current location of Floyds Knobs, IN. His son Joe worked in the business through high school and after attending Ivy Tech started working full time in 2008. Can’t say enough good things about Book! Called for a furnace repair and they had someone out within the hour. The technician that came was so respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We ended needing a new furnace and ac until (our current one was 22 years old). The owner and another technician came back out the same day to install our new units. They worked very late and in the rain to get the job done! I would recommend them to anyone a thousand times over! You have gained a lifelong customer!

I called Book Heating & Cooling this morning when my AC quit. They said I was low on Freon and charged me $365.06 to add two lbs of Freon. The AC would not shut off after they left. I called them back and they found a bad contact and charged me $179.76 for the contact and 10 minutes of time to replace the contact. I found the contact online for $11.65. Time to find a new HVAC company for my needs.

My husband called Book at 8:00 this morning, and they were here in less than two hours. I appreciate that the gentleman who came to the door was wearing a mask. He was friendly and polite. They replaced two parts, and we were pleased with the cost of the service. Our house is cooling off very nicely. Thank you, Book!

Excellent customer service from start to finish. I purchased two Trane units in July. The product was ordered one week and installed the following week. I was impressed with the whole installation process and employee customer courtesy. I have since recommend this company to other homeowners. Great job and product.

Well, if you can find a company that does good work and helps you when your in a pinch then your always happy to stay with them. Book Heating & Cooling is such a place.
We've been customers now for at least 20 years and they really are helpful. Our AC unit finally died at 10:30 on a Thursday night in August so I called Book and left a voicemail which was returned at 8:15 the next morning. The folks at Book came out on Saturday morning and replaced the unit. I was impressed that they came out on such short notice even though I was willing to wait until the next week.
