After calling 4-5 garage door businesses and told they could not send a service guy out for 3-4 days, I tried Takase Garage Doors and they said they could send a guy out the next morning, a Saturday. The serviceman “Patrick” was very courteous and knowledgeable, and he proceeded to explain the problem, a burnt out old motor (outdated).
When I asked him about a new motor, he said he had a couple of models in his truck. At the same time, I wanted to switch from a chain drive to a belt drive, and he said that was included. Long story short, we chose a WiFi model, and he said it

This company has very skilled employees. The guy they sent out, Patrick, was very nice and made the process very worry free.. I'm glad i called. The motor wasn't working and the garage door kept getting stuck. After a week of having to push open the door i was very relieved when it was working again. Thank you Takase Doors & Service.

Bad communication skills, texting this guy Kyle Kuriyama. First he told me his co worker was coming to my house. Never came!!! Following week still didn't come, then finally he's in Ewa and told me he's on his way to Kapolei, my wife and I waiting the whole day for this guy to service my garage door. A no show and not even a heads up that he's not coming.Till now not even a apology nothing!!! Wouldn't recommend to go to Kyle Kuriyama.

Our garage door needed to be replaced, made a few phone calls to the big guys and was blown away by how expensive it was for a garage door.
Called Takase, he was quick to offer a very competitive price and maintained good communication through the process. They also had our door in stock (standard white 2 car) and was able come install in the next few days.
Door installation was very good. All in all a pleasure to deal with.
I would definitely recommend him for residential garage door service.

Do not waste your time with Takase doors. We had a garage door installed and then it corroded. I called them to ask about the warranty and they said yes they could replace it. This was in April. They said it would take 4-6 weeks. After calling them monthly to follow up on the door they gave me a story how it missed the ship and would be in on the August shipment. They would call me to set up installation as soon as it arrived. I Didn’t hear anything so I emailed again in September and they told me that it did come in, in August but they were so busy that they forgot it came in. They then told

I called 3 other garage door company yesterday. Only Takase Doors responded with same day service. I was told it'll be between 1:00 & 4:00 p.m. and the repair man arrived at 1:15. He was very thorough & helpful in explaining what the problem was. And the price was surprisingly low.
I highly recommend this company. They show up on time & does a very good job.

These guys were 1 of 3 bids and they were the most forthright, honest and no 'hidden fees'. They were ON IT, whereas the other two were not good at follow through, not returning calls or scheduling installation. (I had actually accepted a bid which never followed thru so lost the job after 2 weeks of no show! And they had lots of 5 star reviews!!!) The 2 guys who installed the door were congenial and good hearted. Hearing guys laughing as they work is a good experience. They patiently explained everything to me about operation etc before they left and they CLEANED UP--which a lot of companies really
