My husband and I have been looking at cars for several months with no luck. We just were not able to find the right car. This is partially because we hate talking to the salespeople when we first get on the lot. Our salesman, Shawn Couch was very easy to work with. He let us test the drive the car on our own which allowed us to pull over and really go over the car. Once we decided that we wanted the car they worked out all of the paperwork, they were not aggressive or pushy. Thoroughly pleased with my experience at Marchant Chevrolet. I traded my 2015 Yukon for a 2022 Tahoe with ease. I had a fantastic experience with Shawn Couch at Marchant Chevrolet, I had been searching for an Oasis Blue Trailblazer for about a year now. I saw on the Chevrolet website that an Oasis Blue was in transit to Marchant. I called and Shawn answered. He was able to verify the vehicle was available and that I could put down a deposit and it would be mine. Surprisingly, 3 days later I received a call that it had arrived. I had lost all faith in car buying until I was guided to Marchant Chevy. From the initial conversation, through the delivery of my 2022 Chevy, Robert was very honest and transparent. My truck was in transit to the U.S. when I started the buying process and Robert kept me updated the entire time. I highly recommend these guys if you are looking for a vehicle. I have been to Marchant Chevrolet twice to repair my AC. It has not been repaired either time. I called the Service Department today to tell them the truck is not repaired and needs to come back for a third time. I requested a loaner snd was refused.
I have made two very expensive repairs to my vehicle and neither repair has fixed my AC issue. I have to wonder if the Service Department is capable of repairing my truck.
Update as of 5/19/21. I have been given a loaner vehicle so I do have transportation to work.
I have been in the loaner vehicle since Monday morning.

Sketchy service and terrible staff to make sure nothing that is wrong with you car or truck is covered by a warranty. his service team is not there to help, but to make you pay for everything. just buy a car, wait for something to go wrong, and watch your factory warranty get declined because he really does not care about you..just that money. good luck

Yes Marchant is still a car dealership with chatting salesmen, but they actually gave a great opening price and even negotiated to give me an even LOWER price. I was in the market for a used Chevrolet Volt, and being in Charleston those are few and far between but also they are very very hard to sell for the dealerships (this is truck country not electric car country!) I was able to get a great price below KBB market value. The car is three years old with barely any miles for that age and looks like it's barely been driven. I will say our salesman didn't know anything about electric cars

Purchased a new Silverado from Rusty at Marchant Chevy on 07/16/16. It was the 3rd new vehicle purchase I've completed within the last two and a half years. Without a doubt it was the most comfortable and stress free vehicle purchase I have ever made. From the purchase, to my trade negotiation, to the financing every aspect of the transaction was great. On the contrary, the prior purchases at local Hendrick dealers were not so great. Hopefully my wife is converted to Chevy now because I don't really feel like doing a car purchase anywhere else anymore. If you want the inflated prices

After a brief negotiation we were able to agree on price, I gave him a deposit by phone before lunch. Saturday I traveled 130 miles to the dealership, 30 minutes later I was the proud owner of a new truck. There was no BS, no games, no hassles. If you are in the market Marchant is the place to go.
